There lines are ridiculous!!!! at four employees upfront three running one register and then one running self check out so I'm still waiting that 75 foot line. I went to self check out and I had 13 items and the ladies like no you can't go through this line in the self check out because I have 10 items or less. This store is not worth your time going. So I wanted to check the store hours because I forgot it's 24rhs and somehow got sucked into the comments section. I noticed that there are some one star reviews and I had to read some to see what the complaints are because I've had little to no issues in the five years that I've been shopping here. Maybe the occasional bitch worker that rubs me the wrong way but the same thing could easily happen at any other store. That's just life . Anyways, I started reading the bad reviews to try and find and trends and I'm starting to realize that the people leaving winco bad reviews are a bunch of morons. I can't believe some of the complaints people actually waste time from their days to submit. Straight up morons. I know it sucks to shop there during odd hours only to have to stand forever in the one and only line while there are employees stocking shelves but there is a reason for that. If you don't like it then come back during normal hours or go to the other 24hr grocery store and see if things are better there. I don't know where that store is so if you wouldn't mind letting us know where that is when you find out it would be much appreciated. I personally don't think that one exists but I like to dream. I hate when I go to the grocery store and I end up dealing with a worker that is a big fat smelly Cunt but that doesn't give me the right to take her picture and post it. Because at that point you are now the Cunt in the situation and if that employee is under age, you're also now breaking laws. Maybe take the highroad and leave a complaint with the manager. If you can't reach the manager, then try again the next day and the next day until you do. You lose all credibility when you take immature actions just to "get back" at someone. Some people might call you, Karen. I don't think Winco ever deserves five stars because they have plenty of problems, but sodas, every other grocery store. I like to be fair and use yelp in an honest proper way in hopes that everyone else does the same so that when I read a yelp review, it's something I feel I can trust. Using this application to be vindictive over something personal is very immature, unfair and super lame. Overall, I am satisfied with my local 12th St. WinCo. There are a few issues that I would like to see addressed but nothing that interferes with my daily life in any way, shape or form. There's a couple workers that I Dream about firing if I had the power but I don't so I just keep my morbid thoughts to myself and avoid them workers when I am there. It's just another grocery store. I wouldn't work at Winco Food ever again especially way them bosses and supervisor are they don't care about their employees it's no wonder alot of us got fired or quit. They have no care for nobody unless its their favorite employees. They rip me off of my pay when I first started People need to complain about not enough employees cuz lines are long and 3 or 4 cashiers isn't enough If they would get rid of Kronos system that supposedly good for schedule etc it kept changing my hours when I used to work there as well as switching my schedule just to accommodate other employees that didn't want work. read more

I've been shopping at Winco in Ogden since they opened but I think I'm done. I shop every Sunday for the week's meals. Today the meat was pretty much empty. They didn't have not even one steak to purchase and very little chicken. When I asked the meat guy if he could check to see if there was any sirloin in the back all I got was maybe it's after a holiday. Well, bull shit. I've shopped here after a Holliday fit a few years now and never had this problem! I didn't even mention the produce that was out was disgusting. When I complained at the front desk I didn't get anywhere. They just don't care. I've had this same thing happen with other items where they just quit having it. Andrea and Garrett have the worst customer service ever! I asked to speak with a manager and one was conveniently unavailable. We will never come to winco again! Here is a picture of the girl that was so rude! We will be writing corporate! Never been so disrespected in our lives! And then she chased us down as we walked out the door asking if we took a picture I told her to stop harassing me and I would call the cops. She finally backed off, as she yelled at me and said "it'd not my fault you can't read a coupon" The other winco had no issue duplicating the coupon since it didn't say anything about not allowing a duplication. I just can't get on the WinCo train. I love some "buy local" Karma and the whole "employee owned" mantra is cool too, but well, WinCo just doesn't give me that great shopping experience. Here's the things that give me heartburn and send me to the competition: 1.) I can't use my credit card. I need to buy things for my company at times and cannot use a credit card here. That is inconvenient. It's 2018. 2.) Meat moves. I'm not sure what the theory is here but it is impossible for me to figure out what they are doing when it comes to meat. I like that there is a butcher and I love fresh cut meat, but I cannot find things in their meat department and the cases move frequently. 3.) Some of this, a little of that. Selection isn't real outstanding. I like to have options on things and there isn't a lot of that here. I haven't done a lot of price comparison because, to be honest, at the end of the day all of the stores are about the same. But the above mentioned items are deal breakers for me. read more

My favorite store has always been WinCo. I have been in the Ogden store three times lately to buy corn on the cob. Every piece I buy has has brown ends and dark places in the corn. I will not buy any more corn there. Three times is way enough to get taken advantage of . Never have seen such poor produce there. read more

Having only one cashier for 50 people in line is not how I want to spend my Thursday night. Plenty of employees stocking shelves & not one to hop on a register to help the one & only cashier. Not even the self checkout was open. Maybe because they knew they were the only grocery store open late they could careless if we had to wait over 15 min in line. Frustrating for those of us that only had one or two items versus the full carts that other had. read more

I didn't remember that they only took cash or debit. I went through the self-checkout. I needed help several times and that area was busy. The positives: they are open 24 hours a day. Great prices. The negatives is that the late nite/early morning shift failed to honor a manufacture's coupon for "buy two 20 oz Pepsi's get a free 16 oz Rockstar". The cashier was wrongfully told by two managers, a blonde whose name I did not get, and a guy named Ed, not to honor the coupon and that WinCo takes WinCo's coupons only. The cashier, Amanda, believed them even though I have documentation from WinCo's policies that it does not have to be a WinCo Coupon, a manufacture's coupon is OK under certain rules (and the coupon met all the rules). I was told a no trepass order would be written against me if I came back to this WinCo location. As a result, I obtained, seven coupons, went to all Wincos located in Cache, Davis, Weber and Salt Lake Counties. All 7 of them honored the WinCo Coupon. I have reported this by certified mail, return receipt requested, with all documentationa and cash register receipts to the WinCo headquarters at Boise. I went as far as that only because this WinCo is next to my apartment, and its worth giving Corporate some grief on inconstant training. I am amazed this was the only WinCo to disregard WinCo policy on manfacutor coupons and not honor the coupon. Kudos to all other WinCos but not this one. read more

When I go snowboarding every winter this place is my first stop because of their LARGE selection of great quality foods and great prices. When I am done shopping here, I never need to head back down the hill for more food because they have the best selection of everything that I need. The people are always so friendly and helpful. The best part is that they are open 24 hours so I don't have to worry about rushing to get there. We have a long 9-10 hour drive from LA. I wish that we had one here in LA. They get my 5 star vote. read more

I really didn't want to like Winco but I did. I just relocated to Ogden from Salt Lake City and I tried this due to the lack of more urban hipster type grocery stores. (I'm more of a Harmon's/Sprouts/Trader Joe's type shopper.) Pros: It's really inexpensive. Their bulk foods section is great. It offers all sorts of less common spices, grains, rice, etc. I buy quinoa, brown rice, sea salt, etc. here for a good price. Their snack food and frozen section is really cheap. Their meat seems reasonable but not sensational. Cons: The produce is really disappointing. Their produce variety is okay but something about the quality is severely lacking. They seem to offer lots of unhealthy packaged foods, soda pop, processed frozen garbage (at a great price, sure) but that isn't what I typically buy. You can only use a debit card so don't count on those AMEX points. Uggg!! you have to bag your own groceries. I know that in big cities and Europe this is standard but I have three small children and five extra minutes of their whining while I bag my own groceries is unbearable. I will go here from time to time and have been pleasantly surprised at their offerings but its not my go-to grocery store. read more

I really like winco! They have a great produce, freezer, and meat section. Their dry goods is pretty good as well. They do have one of the larger ethnic food varieties in the area. Their prices are also similar or slightly cheaper to wal-mart. I'd give them 5 stars but their meat prices aren't quite as good as Kent's market. Plus, they don't accept credit cards. Those two points aside I really like WinCo. The last time I was at this particular one they were quite busy but I still saw employees walking around and helping people find items. The employee was on their way to something but was very polite to a customer when they asked for help in finding the item. read more

Winco is our favorite grocery store at our hometown. When we were visiting Ogden, we were so happy to see that they also had a Winco! Winco's prices are usually lower than the competition, and the store is pretty clean and organized as well. You have to bag your own groceries here, and they do not accept credit cards. In the years that I've been shopping here this never happened till today. I had my two little ones with me, went through checkout and realized I don't have my wallet. So we went to the car and back to pay for it. Put shopping and kids in the car and then I realized I don't have my phone. Went back in the store and I saw the cashier who helped me. We made eye contact, but I went straight to the customer service desk. Asked if anyone returned an iPhone he said no, then I was just looking at the station right across from the service dealer if I left it where you bag groceries. Nothing there. Then as we were walking out and that cashier saw me and left her desk, I saw an iPhone on her desk. It looked like my phone because it had a pop socket. I walked straight to her desk to check and it was my phone!!! She could've returned it to customer service or gave it to me when she saw me, but no she did not! My babies were crying so I had to leave right away or else I would've talked to a manager. On our way home I called and spoke to a manager named Brenda. I told her what happened and she said "we'll definitely look into it" and agreed with me that she had a lot of time to returned the phone to customer service. But Brenda didn't even asked if I got a name, which station it was, what she looked like! I had to describe it to her. Realized she don't care, just hang up. Definitely not going back there!!! WinCo is a friendly employee owned business. Their bulk and deli sections are outstanding. The bakery is always tempting. I like their selection of fresh produce. There is a decent selection of groceries and housewares. The fresh ground nut butters are fantastic! Prices are low. No credit cards means we need to plan to have cash in hand, no problem once you know. They do take coupons. read more

We're visiting my brother Jim in Utah and after he picked us up at the airport we stopped at WinCo to do a grocery run. He is a big fan of this store. He likes that it's clean and the employees are friendly. It's employee owned, so there's an investment in the store's success. It's huge and has a massive and varied bulk foods section. They have ethnic foods and prices are reasonable. He says the meats are decent and well priced. He likes it better than Smith's, which is a few blocks away. He prefers the way WinCo does business. He stocked up on goodies for our stay to augment the garden produce and fruit he already had. read more

Maybe it's just me but I get extreme anxiety when I go to Winco.. Sure they have low prices on food, but I am not a professional grocery bagger and when I get into the checkout line all anticipation consuming me with questions like "will I get the right lane or the left lane" after all you really want the right lane but then you also know there will be extra pressure to get your food bagged quickly or the person behind you will get the dreaded left lane. But what usually happens is my worst nightmare which is as follows. I have the right lane and I have so much groceries to bag that not only do I take up the lane for the next patron but the one after that as well. I feel their eyes glaring at me, I hear their thoughts like "I wish this girl would hurry the F*uc$ up" It's very stressful, but they do have awesomely low prices and a great produce section. I am so glad I found WinCo. My husband and I find that prices are almost always cheaper than we can find anywhere else and the quality is just as good. I especially love their bulk section. I don't mind bagging, so that's not an issue at all. I have never felt any pressure to do it quickly. My experience has always been positive. I love WinCo prices but I don't buy any paper products from them. Like T.P., paper towels or even soap. I can get those cheaper somewhere else but I don't mind. I also don't mind bagging my own groceries but what I do mind is that sign telling you to use just one bag. WinCo's plastic bags are just as flimsy as everyone else's. So if I have to bag my own...I will double bag if need be!!! And to Rhiannon R...girl take your time bagging your groceries! Don't worry about the people behind you.
