This place is pretty good in terms of size and cost for organic food. They have fresh food, seeds, honey, coffee, milk, etc. They are not as big as whole foods but it is still very clean and the people are friendly. Great selection for things, however if you need to get ALL your groceries organic you might have to go to a bigger place. Healthy place, good in size...could be a bit bigger but, "That'll do, store, that'll do" (in the voice of the farmer from the movie, Babe). read more

I have come to this store for years. Even though their supplements are double the price of other stores, I wanted to support local businesses. Since the Covid outbreak I have been here twice, the customers don't wear masks, NONE of the employees had masks or gloves, no wipes for carts. I asked the checker why she wasn't wearing a mask, she said the manager, Mitch "doesn't think they're necessary" Guess what else isn't necessary? Me shopping at your store. If you care about your health and safety don't shop here - because they obviously don't care about yours. read more

First, the bad. The prices are high and the selection is small. I attribute both to the fact that in Ogden, there is a limited market of people looking for specialty foods in the area, so this is a necessity to stay in business. Now for the good: Good Earth is so helpful and knowledgeable. Also, they WILL not sell you an item simply to make money. They genuinely care about their customers and run their business to provide specialty foods to people that need them. We went to the store looking for gluten free chili powder. When we asked the manager, she came to the aisle with us and read the ingredients on the bottle. There was no gluten listed, but she went one step further and called every one of her distributors to double-check. Turns out that there is cross-contamination in the factories, and none of her chili powder products are gluten free. This saved us from potentially sickening a family member with Celiac Disease, so we were super grateful. Because of this experience, we trust the manager's knowledge and expertise in specialty foods immensely. Because of their integrity and willingness to help us out, we will spend our extra money there. We have been to other natural food stores in the area and experienced sales people who pushed specialty foods that weren't appropriate for our needs and supplements that were not properly researched. Now, in all fairness, a few of the books at Good Earth have advice and information that I would question, having done my own literature reviews of healthcare journals (but seeing that supplementation and naturopathy are not regulated, it should be the responsibility of the consumer to research what they purchase), but outside of that, by and large, this is the BEST and MOST KNOWLEDGEABLE natural food store I have been to. Double kudos because, as I stated above, they are not interested in selling products that will not fit their customers' needs, and will go above and beyond to keep their consumers safe. In our opinion, well worth the bit of extra money to help out a fantastic business in northern Utah. read more

This place is pretty awesome, especially for its size. They cram a lot of health food goodies in there. They have loose tea and measurable spices, better for you beauty products (and shampoo and body wash and...), protein powders, supplements, cheeses and cheezes, organic milks and yogurt, frozen foods, dry cereals, nut butters, Asian and Mexican foods, seaweed, cleaning products, a bulk food section, and even fresh produce. It seems like if you are looking for a health food product you see on the internet and can't find it elsewhere, it will be at this store. Check it out. read more

Very friendly staff at this place! I was there for about 15 minutes and had probably 6 different employees ask me if I needed help. While I was there I did take up the opportunity to ask questions I had on the holistic medicine that I was looking to purchase. The person who helped me was very knowledgeable. Prices were pretty standard to other health stores. The store tries to put items on sale that the customers will end up using for that season and runs them sales usually for a whole month. I also love their fresh organic produce. I have an intolerance to some types of pesticides so that if I eat even washed fruits it can make me sick. Being able to have a variety of reasonably priced organic produce is great! read more

Immediately Dan came to my aide, showed me the items I was looking for, made some other suggestions and gave me some samples to give to him! Awesome little grocery store that provides raw foods (kale chips, truffles, granola, chocolate, crackers etc) you can't find anywhere else except Whole Foods. Great selection of organic and unique products! read more

Good Earth Natural Foods are usually a far distance from other places such as Dan's, Harmon's or Whole Foods. So they serve the under-served populations seeking out all natural, non-GMO and Certified Organic foods. They aren't necessarily Whole Foods, or Harmon's, but being as these aren't really options in this area, Good Earth gets the job done. I have done business with them as well, and their employees seem happy to be there, and all get along. Their supplement section is also enormous. So skip GNC this time around and head over to Good Earth and grab some non-dairy cheese and some kale chips. read more

This company is very good at "looking good". Large variety of products for the size of the store. On the down side however, they DO NOT recycle ANYTHING, they run the business in a "Wal-Mart" type of way (about 90% of employees are part-time who receive NO benefits), they use hundreds (per store) if not thousands of plastics bags per day, they offer no bag credits, the employee handbook has unequal standards (women can wear some things that men cannot, etc.) on almost every page. This company seems to cater to the rich, rob the poor who actually need the products and give the employees the bare minimum. Oh, and no bike rack....they would hate for you to get some exercise and help save the environment by physically arriving at their store. read more

Seems like no matter what day we go in, a lot of the produce is wilted and definitely wouldn't last in the fridge for even a few days. Especially the broccoli. Completely stocked on the shelf, but all of it's going bad already. Same with the carrots, potatoes, greens, and all the grapes were soft too. Been going for years and the packaged/dry food, and apples are all great, but always noticed the produce isn't as fresh as natural grocers, harmons.. etc. read more

Ok, now that both of the employees have written in with their 5 star reviews, here is some information that might actually be helpful: I have never seen sadder looking produce in my life. Don't worry, you will still be charged premium prices, like almost everything else in the store. Good Earth is perfect for those who like to pay top dollar for everything, because it makes them feel "special". Those of us who have worked on developing our personalities a little bit more will have a less enjoyable experience. Also to be avoided: asking staff anything but the most basic question. Their ignorance is matched only by their arrogance. Try asking any of the musclebound jocks or ditzy high school girls where you can get raw milk in town and you will see what I mean. Thankfully, one can sometimes find reasonable buys in the ridiculously over crowded bulk bin section of the store, where anyone with sharp enough elbows can fill and mark their bag, then make their purchase with minimal interaction with store employees. read more
