1 line to only TWO Registers open, leading all the way to the BACK OF THE STORE. Terrible staffing/management
Jay S.

If I could give zero stars, I would. I went to WinCo at 4 PM on a weekday, thinking I'd be in and out in a reasonable amount of time. Big mistake. The only thing I checked out with any speed was my patience. The line to check out? Unbelievably long. It stretched all the way to the back of the store. And where did this massive line lead? To TWO open registers. Out of SEVENTEEN. Yes, you read that right. Two open registers. Seventeen exist. Fifteen were sitting there useless, collecting dust. Meanwhile, I and everyone else in line were wasting our lives waiting to buy a few groceries. At this point, just get rid of the extra 15 registers and install more self-checkout lanes. What's the point of having all these registers if you refuse to use them? WinCo, either staff your checkouts properly or commit to self-checkout. The current system is beyond frustrating. This isn't a one-time issue--it's every single time I come here. WinCo is cheap, but the experience is absolutely not worth it. If you value your time, go somewhere else.

Bailey, on the meat department helped me to get the Turkey necks and gizzards. Great employee! No one else in Roseville had them!! Need more carts because there were none!! Long lines for sure.Get whatever is needed for Thanksgiving early. Lines, lines, lines Happy holidays!!

Great pizza prices! Friendly people. Couldn't wish for anything more. Prices effective September 2025

Over the course of a week the price was $1.28, then $1.58, and yesterday $1.78

During the last 25 years I hardly ever shopped at this Winco store and when I did it was mostly for their bulk items. I have always been impressed with the bulk items selections, but the long check out lines kept me from being a regular customer. Plus. we are pretty close to the Elk Grove - Florin Rd Safeway and this store is a few miles away. Safeway is a good upper mid-priced market and cheaper than the Bel Air across the street. Or at least they were. I'm a retired corporate buyer amongst other careers I had and I don't spend any more for food than need be. I do all our food shopping. I am a member of the Safeway rewards club and I buy stuff on sale or clearance. In the last two years their massive price increases have made me look for a better deal. I found it at Winco. My 4 star review would be 5 stars if they didn't change their damn prices overnight and they do it every night. They must have a team of people working at night changing prices. Last week Post Honey Bunches of Oats were $1.28. That is a super great deal! A few days later they were $1.58 and yesterday they were $1.78. Tomorrow who knows what they will be selling for? This makes it hard for me to stay within our budget, but overall I am saving a ton of money as their prices are very good. Now that I am shopping here most of the time I find that the checkout lines really aren't as bad as I thought before. When the line get really long more checkout stands open up.

Spaghetti from old world brilla ground meant is Winco store brand and Ragu tomato's sauce, looks delish eh?

The berries looked beautiful -- fresh, bright, and exactly what you want when you're making something special and don't want to risk disappointing fruit. Produce quality really does make a difference, especially when it's the star of the dish. I also ended up finding a garlic olive oil I've been looking for, which felt like a bonus win. Nugget is great for those moments when you need something a little more specialty and don't want to drive all over town searching for it. The store was clean, well stocked, and easy to get in and out of, which I always appreciate when I'm just popping in for a few things during a busy day. It's one of those places where you can reliably find quality ingredients whether you're cooking something special or just grabbing everyday groceries. Final verdict: absolutely worth it.

The plaza is busy and has plenty of parking, but be careful in the parking lot- it's very active with cars coming and going as well as people. The. store has a good variety of fresh produce, meats from their butcher, fresh fish, shelf stable items, and refrigerated items. They had a good variety of savory snacks including some chips in brands and flavors I hadn't seen before. We picked up some chips and snacks, some freeze dried fruit, sauces, canned items and a few other odds and ends. It was busy and while they had two registers open both lines were long- but moved quickly. The prices were reasonable here and comparable to other places we've been to.

Adj: Adequately Average, but Conveniently "Comprehensive"…read more So I'm not sure how it's taken me this long to finally come check out this Asian grocery store that's been open now for almost 5 years, according to other Yelpers' reviews. But it's still "new" in my mind, lol, but in reality it's only new to me anymore. Hubby was not interested in coming with so I went by myself and it was an interesting experience. It's in the super busy Chipotle and Dollar Tree shopping plaza south of Laguna on the side closest to Harriet Eddy Middle School, so that would be the east side of Bruceville. Anyways, so the parking was tight as there were tons of cars coming and going and the lot was pretty full, but I found a spot close enough to walk over to that corner. As I entered the store , I had major flashback, first from the smell, it hit me like a ton of bricks, yes, the Asian grocery store smell. Visually, it looks like an old school Chinese grocery store by the shelves and the way they laid things out, then I realized what it was, it reminds me of Ho Chin on Freeport! lol or one of the older Asian supermarkets on 65th like Wing Wah! Major dejavu moment, haha... Anyhow, I was warned that prices are higher here as they know they've got a captive customer base of Elk Grovian shoppers who need to get their Asian ingredients or snacks or veggies, but don't want to drive into South Sac. Totally understandable, so there's definitely a mark up on many products here, I would consider that a built-in convenience fee, lol. I looked around and first there's the produce section and they do have fresh Asian veggies and fruits. Everything looked pretty organized in this section, but the tofu area looked kind of messy or just visually cluttered for some reason. No big deal though, I moved onto my favorite section which is the meat dept and they had a good variety of pork and chicken, less beef. They had the Chinese black and yellow chickens which really can't be found anywhere else besides from a chicken vendor or at Asian grocery stores, these chickens are good for postpartum and surgery recovery soups so it's good that Seasons carries them, pricey though they maybe. Next I walked towards the back of the store and the butchers were looking at me so I refrained from taking pics of their section and of course I wasn't going to take pics of anyone to begin with, but they probably saw me take a few pics of the tea and flour aisles close to them and wondered what the heck is that gal doing? lol... I moved into the pantry stable foods aisles next which include the sauces and spices aisle, the dried noodles and dried veggies/mushrooms/savory ingredients row, and of course I had to check out the snacks and sweets aisle. All of them were pretty well stocked but definitely looked a little messy in some sections, not as immaculately organized as Ranch 99 on Florin or SF Market on South Land Park which is my usual go to for Asian grocery. Overall, this store is a very strategically located Asian grocery store for the Elk Grove community of Asian foodies who like to cook for themselves and for those looking for specialized Asian ingredients and snacks etc. that can't be found in regular grocery stores. 1 star knocked off for the several somewhat cluttered and disorganized areas, the tight quarters (they really can lay things out better if they got someone professional to change things up), and the smell, lol. The obviously higher prices for some items = another star deducted, but others might be ok with paying more for the convenience of not having to drive to Ranch 99, SF market or other Asian stores down in South Land Park or off 65th in Little Saigon.
