The drinks are always perfect (and they use Crimson Cup, another local company). The weekend breakfast options are fantastic every time, the cold case options are all delicious, and the baked goods are beautiful. I have literally never left without a smile on my face because it all hits the spot every single time. Probably our favorite part about stopping into Joe Vino's is the team. The atmosphere is supposed to be sort of kitschy and fun, but TBH it just made me feel like I was drinking coffee in my grandma's garage. I originally ordered a latte and asked if they had a milk alternative. I was told they make their own oat milk in house, which sounded great. I then asked if they could tell me whether it was gluten-free. I ask this at every coffee shop because I have to avoid gluten, and I've always found that staff are happy to check ingredients or packaging when there's an allergy or dietary concern. Unfortunately, they told me they didn't know if it was gluten-free and weren't sure how to find out. Because of that, I decided to order a cold brew instead. About five minutes later, I was called back up and told they were out of cold brew. At that point, my only real option was a plain iced coffee. It was disappointing to visit a new coffee shop and not be able to order either of the two drinks I came in hoping to get. More than anything, I think this highlighted an opportunity for improvement. It would be helpful if staff knew the ingredients in the products they serve, especially when customers ask about allergens, and if inventory was communicated before orders were taken. I hope this feedback is taken in the spirit it's intended. I wanted to love this place because it has a lot going for it, and I hope these are things that can be improved.
