Dirty Cold Brew
George B.

I wanted to try the Dirty Straight Up Cold Brew, fresh espresso, luxurious chocolate sauce & rich cream. This drink was made with love and very refreshing. If you are ever in the area, or looking for a new spot to try! Stop by and get some coffee or food! I highly recommend this coffee shop. Always fast and remarkable service! Restaurant is always clean Thank you!!

Fancy a coffee shop to pull you away from your local Starbucks? Sweetwaters might just be your 'jam'. Staff behind the counter were busy but not frenzied at preparing orders, which helped me to feel comfortable asking a few questions before ordering a specialty latte. Plenty of seating is offered throughout the space, and I even spotted a large table which you can reserve for a group get together. How awesome! The ambience was calm and inviting, and there's a variety of items to grab a great gift: 1 lb. specialty blends of beans, branded mugs to match each blend, along with a few branded hats and coffee-themed shirts. The restrooms were clean and the blowdryer was really warm (meanwhile I might just have been checking out their tile floor, which matches the rest of my house). Although I didn't get any foodstuff, there was a great variety of options and they all looked delicious. A 'perk' if you will, I had a great view of the worker prepping various toasted sandwiches while sipping my coffee. Also of note: they have a patio and a drive-through. Raise your caffeinated cup to cheers this great local coffee shop.

Popped in here because we were in the area getting donuts. My husband always loves trying the cold brew at new coffee shops. Of course, he got the cold brew. The "dreamy" version with vanilla and cream. He said it was really good. He would definitely get it again. I got the creme caramel drink they are featuring for February. It was really good. Vanilla and caramel and creamy. Delish.

Wish I would have started coming here sooner! Soooo much better than that other national chain...you know the one I'm talking about. I've tried several of the fun holiday drinks at Sweetwater and they have all been winners. Fast and friendly service and a rewards program that automatically adds points to my account when I pay, so I don't have to remember to give my phone number each time. If a location were to open any closer to my house, I'd probably be a daily customer! Have not tried any pastries yet, but will update review when I do.

I go to a ton of coffee shops every week (grad student struggle) and can certainly say that Sweetwaters has worked its way to the top of my list! It's so nice, the atmosphere is great & so is the coffee! I had a lemon bar (which is my favorite pastry so I consider myself a lemon bar connoisseur) and it was very tasty. The curd was not overwhelming and the base was soft and flaky! I also tried the "Dreamy" which is one of their signature iced coffees and it was very flavorful, semi-sweet and had a great quality of coffee. Gave me just the boost I needed to get some work done!! It is a little pricey but considering other coffee shops in the area, pricing is comparable. I want to say my coffee and pastry are always under $10! They also have a loyalty program that accrues points pretty quickly so I'd be sure to download that if you're interested! I'll be adding this cozy coffee shop to my rotation and highly recommend if you're in the area! There's also a drive through if you're not into sitting inside during these times! Definitely try it out!

Sweetwaters does it again. Drive through was quick and easy. "Dreamy" cold brew was dreamy for sure. They have the smoothest coffee. Big fan.

They are quick and friendly. Drinks are well made and quick. This location is one of my favorites. Great staff, and perfectly made drinks. They are so helpful and will suggest items too.

I am obsessed with this coffee shop! I love coming here to work or have meetings. The staff is very nice and knows as lot about the menu. The shop is clean and open so it is a great space to work. I order the Ham and Cheese Pretzel Sandwich($6.75) and the Crème Caramel w/Oat Milk ($6.95). It is worth every penny! The sandwich is delicious and the coffee is perfect! I highly recommend giving this place a try if you are looking for a new coffee spot.

I really like this coffee shop. I've tried the French Vietnamese au Liat, Imperial Black Tea with steamed milk and Thai Iced Tea. I like that this shop has unique flavors that you can't find everywhere else. It's different than a traditional coffee shop but it's great if you want a change. The prices are very comparable to a big chair coffee shop but I feel the quality here is much better. They have a cute outdoor patio and convenient drive-thru. The inside is very clean and well kept. They have a few tables open and the bake goods look delicious

Welcome Sweet Waters to New Albany! Yelpers run here, do NOT walk and come ASAP! This is grand opening week and I couldn't miss the opportunity to try out some goodies. I don't know where to start...my heavens! Sweet Waters is located in the new section of New Albany called Hamilton Quarters. There is a round about that takes you there. An easy access drive through or plenty of parking should you want to go inside. I preferred the drive through on this early AM outing. The menu is easy to read which made it easier to find what wet my appetite and thirst. I ordered a cold brew (18 hours of that drip!!) And added heavy cream to make it Keto friendly. Wow! I needed to start there because this cold brew is the best I have had from the west coast, Midwest to the east coast. Yea, you heard it...they have that drip. Smooth and down right delicious. Add some milk or heavy cream in my case and sit back and enjoy. I didn't try the matcha given it was for my son, however, it looked delicious. I added almond milk and ice based on his preferences but you can drink hot, cold, straight up or add creamy. I ordered the egg, ham and cheese add bagel. They have other meat options or no meat option and keep egg and cheese. Put on a biscuit or bagel. It was firm, nicely toasted and a beautiful perfectly cooked egg! Given this was the grand opening week they offered me a few pastry bar with my orders. I got the Joy bar and Lemon bar. The joy bar was an Almond Joy kicked up to a bar. Crunchy, chewy and sweet with my favorite, coconut! Lemon bar was sweet, sour and creamy. Heaven in a bar!! Thanks Sweet Waters for the amazing customer service, quick order and delicious treats! Will be back tomorrow, oh heck, maybe later today.

My wife and I dined in and I give high marks to the huevos rancheros, breakfast burrito and baked apple cinnamon roll. The hot chicken biscuit was no slouch either, but I think I would have enjoyed the chicken and the biscuit separately. Though, props to the biscuit for being sturdy enough to hold the two tenders and pimento cheese without crumbling. The chicken was also slightly more on the Buffalo spectrum than the Nashville Hot spectrum. This is a coffee shop at the core, and I don't drink coffee. But I sampled the Salted Caramel Cuban and thought it was pretty good. There's a lot to like here, including the polite and attentive service.

While employees were nice, I can't say they were overly inviting. When asked about the bagged coffee beans and instant coffee, the employee offered very limited knowledge of it. I was unfamiliar with the coffee type so wanted more info. I purchased instant coffee and will research on my own. Biscoff Latte - not enough espresso flavor. The latte tasted like there was way too much milk. If I decide to return, I will order extra espresso shots as I didn't taste coffee. I understand lattes are made with milk but I prefer a balanced flavor of espresso in my lattes which I find typical at other coffee shops. My assumption is that the Biscoff flavor comes from the cookie butter on the walls of the cup. In order to taste Biscoff, you have to scrape the butter off the sides. Not what I was looking for. App & Pre-Orders: I was impressed with their app and ability to preorder. The app is very nice but according to the employee at the register - if you buy coffee beans or other merchandise, you cannot get points in the app. Not a deal breaker but would be nice if this was made possible. Interior Decor: I was impressed with the interior of this coffee shop. I thought it was bright, crisp and minimalistic. Loved the wall decor and lighting. I would not describe the space as cozy like other coffee shops but being different is good! Overall, I plan to give this place another try to taste the coffee in its true basic form - straight black coffee/espresso. I would also like to try the food options!

Everything looked so good but we limited ourselves to one pastry each. Blueberry Gallete and Everything Danish were the winners. Great choices! The sugar sprinkles around the Blueberry Gallete put it over the top! There were so many blueberries you got a piece in every bite. The Everything Danish was good but was tad crisp. The chive cream cheese on top was so great I'm glad there was more than I would normally want. Drinks were good but took longer than we had hoped. There was only 1 barista but she was working hard with all the orders coming in. I enjoyed the latte art but sadly we got cold drinks. I enjoyed the offered seasonal flavors such as Gingerbread. I did notice that matcha was sitting in a carafe ready to go if someone was ready to order. Not sure how I feel about that as it can get clumpy waiting around. Seating can be a bit tough during peak hours. There are two communal type tables in the middle which are nice for larger groups. Outdoor patio seating as well but not on these colder winter days. Team was super friendly! Will come back again and actually enjoy a coffee and pastry there. Tip: Blueberry Gallete is soo flaky and buttery do not eat it in the car. lol. I got three huge flakes on my sweater as I took a bite. Well worth it.

That has been my prior experiences - except when it was a pit stop en route to my mom's house in Cleveland - where I'd work there for a couple hours after driving most of the way up prior to dawn. Anyways, for some unknown reason, I was simply obsessed with the Lavender Oatmilk Matcha Latte drink. I think it was the colorful photos I saw. I'm a purple girl who is also into health - so the green and purple were my jam. SPOILER - the drink was green - no sign of purple. I did my research and found the caloric intake in consuming one acceptable - unlike some of the other Starbucks fru-fru abominations. The times I do drink a Starbucks drink - it's a black decaf pour-over. So it was go big or go home. Extra big Lavender Oatmilk Matcha Latte for me. Around 300 calories and $6.75. Fortunately, I had a gift card someone had given my husband - someone who didn't know he was strictly a Mountain Dew guy. I put in my order and no wait in line. It was mid-afternoon and I figured I'd be quickly served. It blows my mind the drive through lines I see wrapped around Starbucks at all times of the day! Anyways, the gift card covered the cost of my drink and I found a spot to wait. About 5 minutes later, my drink was ready. I got it and headed out the door. I had finished running errands and would enjoy on the way home. It had a definite lavender and matcha taste. No question about it. The cream added a sweetness that was critical to my liking it - more of this later. I did find that I only took a couple sips on the way home. After getting home, I had yard work to do and this puppy lasted the entire time. Those were some hard core ice cubes that refused to melt. I was determined to drink every last drip - ice meltings and all. Overall, I'd give it a 7 out of 10. Definitely a love/hate thing I'm guessing. You either enjoy these tastes or not. I decided I liked them. As a result, I Googled how to make one and went about securing the ingredients. Matcha latte powder - available at Kroger. Lavender syrup - lavender in the spice section at Kroger and was able to make with Stevia I had on hand. And then I bought sugar free cool whip to add some creaminess. And bonus - I bought myself a frother (also at Kroger). I don't know if it tastes exactly the same - but I'm find it drinks the same as the original. I make one in the mid-afternoon rather than eating a snack - and it lasts the rest of my workday. I recommend you give it a try if it sounds like your jam - then figure out how to make at home to save on $$. I figure mine cost about $2 for the same size - the only real costs were Matcha latte powder ($1 a serving) and the lavender spice ($3 and it will go about 8 or so servings and the syrup is only good for up to 2 weeks in the fridge once made). Probably all TMI but worth writing about.
