Eh. This buffet was CHEAP which is one thing I suppose I could recommend about it. They had a wide variety of dishes offered cafeteria style. It felt a bit like the cheapest Las Vegas buffet you could imagine (minus the cheap or free booze) The main reason I'll downvote this restaurant is that a fistfight broke out at the front door while friends and I were waiting to pay. No kidding! Look, I don't know all the details, but it definitely lent a super sketchy vibe to an already completely "mid" experience. I won't be back. read more

Not the best, but it could have been worse. A lot of the food was cold or barely warm. Helpers kept our drinks topped but cold food is hard to overcome. They add a 10% tip when you pay as you come in. The air conditioner was working well. I'm always too hot. read more

Hot and fresh food of all varieties including sushi. Plenty of seating and a welcoming atmosphere. Delicious food at a decent price. The iced tea is great as well. read more

I took my Son to eat there yesterday, the cashier was a young Asian man and I ordered one Senior buffet and one buffet for my Son, he looked at me with anger in his face, he proceeded to tell the young lady next to him to show us to our table. When I got up to get some chili oil for my food he had gone there, he was filling a lot of cups with the chili oil I wanted to get so I could start eating with my son, he kept filling cup after cup after cup while I was just waiting, I had counted about 15 to 20 cups he had filled and as I was still waiting there he starts staring at me through the corner of his eyes and angrily asks me "do you want something" it was very obvious with the little clear cup I had already been waiting to get some red chili oil and he would not give me the courtesy of getting some knowing he was filling a lot of cups while I just wanted to get one cup, I was the paying customer and he was the cashier. My appetite went away due to his angry attitude, his rudeness, his disregard to let a customer serve himself knowing he was just serving a lot of cups of oil and knowing I just wanted to get a small cup so I could go back to my table and start eating with my Son. He did not have a name tag and I wanted to ask the young lady host for his name but I did not want to make that young lady start having a bad day. The young man was working at the cash register when we walked in, he did not honor the Senior citizen discount, I am a Senior. He was wearing a flannel shirt. When he was filling out all those cups with chili oil and I was waiting a long time I am not exaggerating, he gave me a very angry look through the corner of his eyes and angrily asked "DO YOU WANT SOMETHING!!!" That's the last time I go to this time place. He has no regard for the reputation of this eating establishment, nor does he remember customers can and will leave comments. I would give ZERO STARS if I could but in order to post my comments I have to give at least 1 star. So ZERO STARS TO THIS EMPLOYEE! read more

I've never eaten in the restaurant but only ordered takeout. The food is good and the portion sizes are ample. There's always a line of people waiting to get into the buffet which makes it hard to get inside to pick up your To Go order. The service is a bit slow. read more

Food was lukewarm didn't taste fresh, alot of food items were empty and not refilled for supply to customers. Wouldn't go back 2nd time. The cashier was friendly and polite read more

Best buffet in oakcliff area they always have fresh and hot food, the servers are very attentive and on top of refills and making sure the table is free of mess very underrated buffet restaurant. Definitely recommend read more

1.The restroom was horriable 2. The employee was using the restroom with gloves on, took the glove off open the door with their other hand, never washed their hands in the restroom. I was told after I reported this that he always does this and washes his hands where they serve the sodas, how disgusting I would never go back there ever again, it was my first time and last time read more

I'm really disappointed with this buffet I don't know if it's a racist issue or what but the waiter brings the wanton to our table like it's time for you to leave never asking if we would like a refill for drinks the food is ok I mainly eat shrimp & mussels I'm just blown away by the way we've been treated because we've noticed that ppl who have been in the buffet for longer periods they were not given a wonton & expected to leave & give a tip well here's a tip when you rush customers out don't offer them refills . You don't deserve a damn penny read more

The food is cold and the workers were staring at me, and the pizza was not that bad. The ice cream had no sugar and the sweet tea was ass and overall everything was fucking ass. read more

Horrible place. The food is disgusting and the hygiene practices are poor. One of the waitresses was sweeping and she put the broom against the table and went to refill a drink. I guess in her favor she was wearing gloves. We were very lucky we didn't get food poisoning. read more

I will give I zero if I could! The place it's horrible, food is disgusting and the staff is even worst. Sushi avocado was black and when I told the person making it he said he was making fresh but when he made it the avocado was still black. I told the manager and he said I didn't have to eat there I'd I didn't want to. My girls love noodles and rice it was so bad that they could not even eat it. People are leaving their plates full of food left and right! HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE! read more

good food not and fresh. good staff very attentive. went away stuffed but wanting more...

Don't eat here if you care about quality food. I don't normally spit food out but there were several items I could not continue eating.

Ive been here twice in my life once when i was young and now as an adult. I was feeling some sushi and came here to get some. Not to bad, i thought i was going to hurl by the end of it from my first reaction about the word sushi but no it was actually pretty tasty. I also got a little of everything else that i usually get at asian restaurants. I had gotten take out and it ended up costing $12 for a full plate because they weigh it and thats the only reason i voted 4 stars because i can get the same amount of stuff at other restaurants for about $7. But everything was fresh which was a big plus and will come here for the buffet part of all this to see how much more i can eat. read more

While I would consider the food above average over most buffets, the cleanliness of the place leaves much to be desired. Do you enjoy flies buzzing around the food at the buffet? You've come to the right place!! Don't like Chinese Buffet? (Would the Chinese actually consider this to be Chinese food? Curious...) They have something for everyone! Pizza, french fries, fried chicken, salad, sushi, fruit, crab, clams, and soup. I do like that the staff is at most times friendly and helpful. So you don't have to worry about the staff approaching you regarding your epic consumption of their food. "YOU EAT TOO MUCH, YOU GO, GO NOW!!" read more

Typical Chinese Buffet. I have eaten here several times and it has been consistent. The food is typical of any Chinese buffet I have eaten at. It is self serve, hot if you get lucky and get to it as they put it out and the taste is fine. Drinks are delivered, the table clean and I have never received a fortune cookie but that is fine by me as I never open them anyway. I particularly like the spring rolls myself. My recommendation is: Eat here if you are hungry. Eat here if you are looking for something quick that isn't a hamburger. Do not eat here if you are a germaphobe. As the food is self serve. Do not eat here if you are extra picky. Do not eat here if you are expecting a Michelin 3 star experience. This not that type of restaurant and you are not that special. read more

I'm always so skeptical of buffets, period. But a friend invited us to lunch after church and we didn't want to be rude. The paying before you eat set up is not so great...a bit confusing. You stand in line thinking you're waiting to be seated only to find out you're standing in the payment line to then you wait in the seating line. But I got to visit with friends so it was no biggie (minus the kids running around in the entryway). Once we sat down, got our food and ate, I was pleasantly surprised at how well the food tasted. There was sushi, 5-6 chicken dishes, grilled fish, shrimp, etc. It gets crowded so be patient. The food was fresh, and the workers kept it up, adding more when it got low. All in all, for a buffet, it was very good:) read more

Less than $8 per person and the food choices are pretty good. Typical Chinese buffet and I've been to some bad ones, but this one is pretty good. The service was good as well. read more

Price wasn't't bad for a buffet. But the selection of food was very basic and small. Chicken was the primary meat of choice. California rolls could have been made at home. Egg rolls were tasty. I ate my moneies worth. But variety was poor. read more

Affordable prices, and it's close to my house. I even did my laundry next-door, and they let me leave and dry my clothes while I was eating

Buffet's can be scary... This place was reasonably priced and the food was not awful. The place was packed and was a little obnoxious with all the kids running around and people not paying attention to where they are going and all... but what do you expect from a buffet? I did have some tummy rumbles the next day... nothing serious but enough for me to notice. Not bad for a buffet place but I would rather go somewhere else. read more

My ultimate favorite Asian buffet! Best hot and sour soup I've found. Everything is fresh.

First and last time going there. HORRIBLE, TERRIBLE the food was NASTY (YUCK!) the Orange chicken and sesame chicken tasted the same and was really sweet they don't have a lot of options to choose from and they make sure to give you ALOT of ice in your drinks even when you ask for light ice waiters a little on the rude side as the waitress was taking the plates away she droped sweet&sour sauce on the table didn't even bother to clean it up my bf and I cleaned it up ourselves but she made sure she came back n threw the fortune cookies on the table inside the tip tray over all NASTY WOULDN'T EVER EVER EVVVVVVER GO BACK read more

Went on Father's Day and though it was busy we were seated right away. It was a decent Chinese buffet but I wasn't impressed by the salad bar. It only had iceberg lettuce that was cut in huge pieces that made it hard to eat & mix around on the plate. While most of the food was good my first bite of beef from the broccoli mix was grisly & my husband's egg roll was nasty. It also was a bit frustrating that they never gave us a fortune cookie which really isn't a big deal but it is something I look forward to at Chinese buffets. The place seemed clean & I liked the layout with only two TVs since many places have more & it proves a distraction to dinner conversation. read more

Biased review as I've been going there since high school so it has a special nostalgic place in my memories. Love this place. Don't expect anything fancy, of course (it's a buffet.) I recommend: Broccoli chicken and beef Noodles (seriously great) Teriyaki chicken on a stick Wings are good sometimes, try one and see how they taste that day That's pretty much what I stick to. Doesn't sound like a lot but you'll get full. Dessert isn't bad either, but I'm usually too full for it. Maybe a small cup of ice cream. read more

As far as Chinese Buffet's go this one is one of the better ones I have had in the DFW area. The service was excellent, all but the pay before you eat part. The atmosphere was good and being able to watch the available sport on TV made the meal just a bit more enjoyable. The display of food seems to go on forever. Keep up the good work. read more

hi, how are you doing today this is another one of these nasty Chinese buffets that give the China people a bad rap they set us up by charging before you eat so once you see what you got yourself into then you try the food and you can't get your money back . well don't have time to explain cause this place is so horrible get a teriyaki bowl from Jack in the box instead lol for real though and some egg rolls read more

I had totally gave up on Buffets until I found this place. i dont get chinese food from anywhere else now. This place has everything and for like 7 bucks per adult and less for kids. I have never seen any flies or bugs anywhere they are constantly cleaning up. The food is always fresh and not sitting there for a long period of time. My favorites are the baby bok choy and hot and sour soup! If your in the neighborhood its a definite must! read more

It's not as good as it used to be. The other day I went in for dinner and the waitresses only offered my friend refills on his soda but not on mine. They took his finished plates but left mine behind. I was excited about eating the honey chicken because it's been a while since I've been here but was very disappointed. On my second trip to grab some more food there was a strange dark piece which I had thought it might be a burnt piece of the chicken skin. I grabbed chicken piece around it since they hadn't switched out the pans yet. I went back to my table and began eating. The first piece I grabbed had an added dark bump with two large black antennas sticking out. I went back to look at the dark piece left in the pan and realized it was a large bug. My friend and I spotted the manager, tried to tell him and to get an answer but he told a waitress something. My plate was suddenly taken away as I was trying to take a photo from my phone which has been acting up. Our fortune cookies were basically thrown on our table and the pan was quickly switched out. We were then ignored by the rest of the staff. I was disgusted and have not been able to get my mind off of that experience and will not go back. We didn't leave an additional tip as my friend had already pre-tipped them when he paid at the counter. Since Crown Buffet and New Buffet are owned by the same people, I won't be going there either. I will stick to my mom's Chinese food instead. read more
