I do not need somebody treating me this way talking to me like I'm stupid telling me to go out to Johnson's lumber and ask them for help instead of his dumb ass manning up and seeing if he can help. I don't go to places because of the product they sell. I go for the staff and how they can be of assistance.

Over the last 6 weeks, I have called and left messages, most of which were ignored. When I finally talked to the salesman after 3 1/2 weeks, he said it would be in the next week and he'd call. When I hadn't heard from him a week after that date, he said he'd check on it and get "right back" to me. Again nothing and again he didn't return my message the next day. Luckily, I hadn't paid anything and have since found a screen online. I don't know if this is now typical of YB&D customer service. They converted my fireplace from wood-burning to gas several years ago and I was beyond pleased with their service. I'm disappointed and bewildered as to why the negative service now.

So it will be there on Thursday. It wasn't. Called, no answer. Of course they didn't call me back, I had to call them on Friday. No answer. Called Saturday, apparently closed. Called Monday, got receptionist who said I had to talk to Linda. Badgered receptionist into giving me Linda's cell phone number, receptionist wouldn't escalate to manager or owner. Linda doesn't call back. Finally, Linda calls and says she left me a message. Um, Linda, everyone can see missed calls on their phone and you're either lying or too stupid to dial correctly. Oh, but they had so many jobs, mine didn't get done. Oh, also the guys didn't read the work order correctly and delivered the step to the Lansing yard. And now they don't have any more jobs in the area and it's not worth their time to get a boom truck (?) for one job. Even though it has been their mistake all along. So it won't be done by Thanksgiving. Will probably get done by end of year. Note that their web site advertises all the areas they work in, even though they are located in Battle Creek. But if your job is not in Battle Creek, don't expect them to show up. It's companies like this that give all contractors a bad reputation. They certainly fit the stereotype.
