Called him again, same deal - pay upfront for service call. Came a second time - unit ran for 2 days. Quit again. Called a 3rd time - no response. When they finally got back to me 5 days later. They wanted to sechedule a third service call with an upfront payment. By this time I had someone else who knew what he was doing to fix the unit. 3 weeks after the second service call, I get a bill for freon he had supposedly put in the unit on his second service call. This time I had to pay for the service call before I could schedule the appointment. I was not a new customer. I paid and scheduled the appointment. Unexpectedly, I had to leave for a few minutes. I called several times and left voice mails and sent text messages to notify them and asked to please call me, so I wouldn't miss his arrival. No response. When I returned, he had already been. Saw him on my driveway camera. I called, finally got an answer. Asked why I wasn't called. She said that they didn't see my messages until after he had already been to my house. She informed me that he fixed it and no additional charge. "It was just a loose wire". A week and a half later, my outside unit stopped working. I called a different company. I was informed that I had no freon in the unit and that the sensor had been bypassed. The inside air handler had a hole in the coil and had been leaking. I also had a wire that had been shorted out by the leak. Plus tripped a breaker. Needless to say, I have a new unit and it works great. In the past, I had always been pleased with the service that Johnny B Good had provided.

Very friendly and actually, as a courtesy, reconnected our pipe in the attic that the new roofing company disconnected and didn't put back together! I am glad we chose Austin for our new units.

Called on Oct 3rd for 2 of my properties. The first one needed servicing and the other one needs an entire split unit replaced. I provided the person on the phone the address, my phone number, my billing address multiple times. According to my cell phone log, I was the call 8 minutes. This person sounded very confused. I kept repeating myself. Finally I asked if I could email the information, because at this point I knew explaining the unit replacement was going to be too technical. It already took almost 8 minutes to provide the information for the service call. I sent an email and it did go through and I got a call October 6th and they needed the address for the estimate for the new unit, because the street number was not in the email. Looking back at the email, it was in the reference at the header. Also informed that they were going to try to squeeze me in at the other property. The address for the estimate was on the title for the email. Anyway, I asked if they could just respond to my email with any questions. When this person called I was driving and was not about to spend a lot of time repeating information that was already in an email. On October 9th, I had not heard from them and was wondering when my property was going to be serviced. They told me they were waiting for an email because they did not know what property needed to be serviced. I transferred to a lady that started yelling and screaming. She kept screaming over top of me. It was bizarre. I have been managing properties for 26 years and have even used them in the past. However, going through this mess just to arrange a service call is a first for me. The estimate for the new unit could have waited a week or so. However, I am used to getting things scheduled and serviced within a day or two at the latest. Not having to call almost a week later and being told they did not have the address that needed to be serviced when I spoke to the person for 8 minutes providing the information multiple times. Austins have been in the area for several years and I hope the figure out their communication issues for the sake of their business. However, I cannot deal with people that fail to convey scheduling information to their technicians, then yell, scream, and blame me for their failure.
