I contacted Best Air and he said that he would be there in about 2 hours. he was here in 1 hour and was super knowledgeable and explained in detail what had gone wrong. he charged me less than I was expecting and my A/C is working like new again. and also told me that the capacitor that that went bad has a one year warranty and it would be replaced for free. super nice guy and very honest. The guys were very efficient. My unit had a slow leak that required freon. AaronAir was very understanding of my financial situation and gave me options, ie add freon yearly or replace the unit all together. They were able to service my unit until I had saved enough money to replace the unit. Regretfully, the owners of AaronAir moved and the business is no longer available. I hated to see them go, they were fantastic!

ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE WITH AARON AIR In March/April…read moreof 2017 these guys came and recommended my upstairs unit be replaced...they came out and took forever trying to get the outside unit to function...one of my neighbors actually had to come over and do a voltage test to identify the problem as to why the unit wouldnt work...next they didnt have the tools to finish the in attic installation that day. Thy came back and eventually got the unit installed (but now my door bell doesnt work) FAST FORWARD TO SEPTEMBER OF 2017, my bedroom ceiling starts leaking, and ultimately a huge gaping hole developed causing major damage to my roof b/c the in attic unit was improperly installed and had the drainage pipes at an incline (even I know water doesnt flow upwards) I called in for a repair and the phone attendant, argued that it was my fault and I should have noticed that something was wrong with the unit before it flooded my attic---but ultimately the owner came and apologized and re-installed the unit and also added a drain pain (that should have been installed intially), now here we are ONLY 8 months later and my unit is OUT OF FREON ...called their service number again and was told that it is my issue and I would need to pay again.....NOW ANY HOMEOWNER KNOWS YOUR UNIT DOESNT NEED TO BE CHARGED WITH FREON EVERY COUPLE OF MONTHS....my downstairs unit has only had freon added 2 time in the 7 years i've owned my home...this has been a terrible experience and I wouldnt recommend anyone do business with these guys.

Let me start by saying that my experience with AC tech has been a great one. Before I called AC…read moreTech I went through two other companies; Blanton's and Best Air. The tech from best air told me that the unit wasn't getting power (which I knew it was) then charged me $75.00 for that useless advice. The tech from Blantons at least spent an hour troubleshooting the system before he told me this one was too old (8 years) for repair and that he recommended I purchase an entirely new system. The people from AC tech greeted me as a husband and wife team, and immediately said that I needed a little Freon which they added for me. While adding the Freon he found out that the problem was something totally different that needing a little Freon, he thought that one of the pipes may be clogged and that was something he didn't have time to do that day but offered to come out on a day that he would have more time. Since he technically didn't fix the problem that he thought I had, he didn't charge me for the 2 pounds of Freon he added to my system and just told me to recommend them to people I meet. Simply the most professional AC people that I have had the pleasure of dealing with to date, I will be using them in the future.

They completed the installation Wednesday afternoon, amazingly fast! The other two companies that gave us bids couldn't even get the unit to Fayetteville until Friday for install the following week! Everyone we dealt with was a total professional--Chris who provided the estimate, Reggie & AD who installed our unit (and spent an extra hour rebuilding our natural gas lines that have evolved into a mess as we add gas appliances through the years, no additional cost), and their supervisor, Blake! We highly recommend checking with them when it's time for a new HVAC or just routine service. And, they even give you a $100 bonus future referrals! We love this company, so glad we found them!

After the first no-show I called and the gal confirmed the man that was supposed to come quit with no notice. Giving the company the benefit of doubt I rescheduled, although their first next available appointment was 4 weeks later. Yesterday the appointment came and went and again no one showed up. I called to try to confirm an arrival window and later to figure out what was going on and the entire day the phone had a busy signal like it was off the hook. Needless to say I will be going elsewhere with my business. I will also add that Certified was the company used to install our two furnaces in a new build house less than a year and a half ago. I've been less than impressed with our furnaces. The upstairs is currently 62 while the heat is set to 67.

A friend recommended Scott's Mechanical, a local family owned business. The father, (the owner) and his son came. They spent one whole hour trying to figure out what went wrong and if there was any chance of repairing the unit. Did not charge us a dime for that! They gave us the fairest quote and did not charge extra for credit card use. They came within days with the new unit and worked neatly and efficiently until all was working . Explained to us the new system and will do maintenance in the future. I could not recommend them enough. Sorry to see such a weird, dismal review on yelp. This is the worst company I have ever worked with. Not only were they almost 2 hours late for their…read moreFIRST appointment of the day at 9am (which they never called to let us know about the delay) to fix a leaky copper pipe downstairs and the a/c, but they also lied about the condition of my house and refused to work with us anymore. I called them to see where they were and to explain that I had to run out for a quick second but that I would put the dogs in their crates and keep the door unlocked. I also left a note on the door for them to call me at my cell number immediately when they got there to ensure that all would go well. I never received the call from the technician. Instead, I received a call from the lady at the receptionist desk saying that both of our dogs had gotten out and they had to leave. I apologized saying that I would remove them from the house and asked if I needed to make another appointment. She said "No, we don't want to come back. Your house is too nasty." Of course I asked what she meant. She says "There's dog poop everywhere and he just isn't going for that. Plus there's 2 inches of water everywhere". I was worried that I'd come home to find chaos! When I stepped in the door, only one of the dogs was loose and there was no poop anywhere in the house. I looked and looked, and couldn't even smell a hint of anything. I went downstairs and checked for water. None. It's one thing if you are scared of a loose dog, I can completely understand that, but to lie about the condition of the house is another. The simple solution would have been for me to come home and remove the escaped dog as I had requested to do, and they could have gone and fixed the problems. But no, they chose to lie about my house being "nasty". I had already explained to them that the house is being renovated, but it certainly wasn't nasty! Within an hour, we had Carolina Air come out to help in a hurry. They have been pleasant, professional, and (funny enough) didn't complain of a nonexistent dog poop smell or any water. On a side note, the problem we were having them come out to fix had been a recurring problem for over four summers. Come to find out, they could have fixed the problem back years ago, but instead just did little patches so that they would have to come back every summer. This lying company does not even deserve the one star I had to give them!
