Miguel Regino arrived on time, which was a plus. He checked my system out as I expected, though I noticed him from my camera that he was on his phone for a while but I can't judge as long as the job was done. He informed me that my capacitor was going bad and quoted me a price a little over $250. He showed me what the number on his meter showed and I was a bit confused because I have some knowledge on capacitors so I declined replacing it. He then offered me a maintenance agreement for the year that included 2 servicing for the year. I took the contract and payed for it figuring, what the heck it was worth it. I called in 7 months later for my semi annual check up and Miguel arrived on time and began quoting the price from the door that I will be paying for this check up. When I told him that he sold me the one year contract with 2 maintenance calls a year, he told me that I only payed $245 for that one visit. The bad part, is that it would have been more if I didn't get the military discount. Oh, I also forgot to mention that I called another HVAV company in December to get a second option on the capacitor and tgst technician showed me the same reading and said it did not need to be replaced. I only decided to use them in the first place because it was veteran owned. I will go back to the company that replaced my less than 2yr old HVAC. I am a senior but I am also a veteran. I felt like prey. It is saddening.

My water well had a blowout 2 days before new years and water was spraying like old faithful. While…read moreI was out looking at the damage and shutting off the water, my wife called a couple of plumbing companies for repair. Of the first three companies she called, the one that could come out the quickest was Heavenly Throne - a local mom-and-pop shop (father son and another plumber). They sent out the young son that evening who assayed the damage which was only a hole in the galvanized "T" (about a $15 piece of pipe) The young man said the repair would cost "a few hundred dollars", and he would be out about 0900 the next morning to repair it. They didn't arrive until after 1030 the morning and after a few minutes the father-son team went back to their trucks. The son sat in his truck until the father came back with repair parts. They didn't bring with them any of the repair parts even though the son had come out the night before to assay the damage. When they came back the father assisted with the repair for a little more than 1/2 an hour and the son finished about an hour after that. When asked how much the repair was going to cost the father stated $853.33! Considerably more than the few hundred quoted the night before. When we asked for an itemized bill, the father stated they didn't do that. The son stated that an itemized bill was no longer an industry standard. They replaced several unnecessary parts and stated that they "may" eventually need replacing. After MUCH debate I finally got a bogus invoice which was eventually replaced with one that made sense, but only reported a breakdown of parts ($197.50); labor ($600.00); tax ($55.83); total ($853.33). There was no breakdown of labor cost per hour, how many hours or a list of what parts were used and the costs. How do you come up with a $600.00 labor charge installing $197.50 worth of parts in less than a few hours. When the son was finished, the water was turned back on and after a few minutes the pipe blew again because he didn't wait long enough for the PVC cement to dry. This error added another half hour to his stay. When he left, he took the PVC glue and left over PVC pipe that we were charged for. They certainly will never get a recommendation or be asked to return. I think they believe the lack of providing an itemized statement is their license to steal.
