The doctor was booked all day til 5:30, something I witnessed, but they took my in between patients for an emergency. I was scared I had cut my cornea and was in extreme pain. I walked in and they were already expecting me- paperwork took a minute and they checked on me to make sure I was okay. I didn't have to wait long before the doctor saw me. He checked my eye very thoroughly and reassured me that my eye was fine, I had just gotten something in my eye that had irritated it intensely. He wanted to make sure I was okay, and asked me to stock around the plaza for 15-20 minutes and follow up before I left. The salesperson/secretary was extremely helpful and compassionate both on the phone and in person. She made me feel ask much better about my "emergency" lol The doctor was busy but had a great attitude and remembered my name (if I had to see a new patient every half an hour...I wouldn't remember anyone's name). He was very nice about checking my eye again when I felt a pain and was very thorough in examining and cleaning my eye of irritants. I'm so glad I decided to go, and they accepted my insurance so I only paid the specialist copay. Also I noticed they only booked a patient every half hour- not over booking is key to quality service. The doctor is usually in six days a week and they have late hours. There's also a huge free parking lot. I'd recommend them to anyone in the area.

I love these guys. I've been coming to Focus Eye Care for over 15 years! My whole family comes here…read more- even my Ex! The staff is professional and friendly. They go out of their way to make you feel comfortable. I appreciate the fact that I can trust them to give an honest opinion on the frames I've selected-even if the better fitting glasses cost less. Dr. Esperon and Dr. Capstick are fantastic. They are genuinely good people who are also stars in their profession. They take the time to explain things in plain English and I never feel rushed. A year ago I suffered an eye injury shortly before a business trip. I was worried about flying with my injury and being on the west coast in case my eye got worse. Dr. Esperon gave me his personal cell so I could call him at any time. He also found a colleague out west that I could see in case of an emergency. It's this type of personalized care that keeps me coming back to Focus Eye Care.

WOULD NOT RECOMMEND…read more The doctors here are attentive, professional, and genuinely good at what they do. The pre-exam assistants are also pleasant to work with. That part of the practice is solid. Where things fall apart is the front desk and ordering side. As a new patient needing contacts, I was short on supplies for one eye. Instead of reviewing my file or asking basic questions, the person handling my order jumped straight into trying to sell me a larger supply before I'd even tried the lenses for more than three days. I had to explain that new patients need a trial period before committing to a bigger order, since that didn't seem to register with her. After I explained it, she said she'd call another office to check on supplies and would follow up the next day. That callback never came. I called to follow up, got a busy line multiple times, left a voicemail, called back hours later, finally reached someone, and got disconnected mid transfer. Still no callback. When I called again minutes later, I hit busy lines again before finally getting through, which told me the voicemails simply weren't a priority. Basic trial stock for common lower power lenses shouldn't run out, and voicemails from existing patients shouldn't sit unaddressed while new calls get answered right away. I ended up asking to be removed from their patient system and will be finding a provider that actually prioritizes patient care. If you want solid doctors, they have that. If you need reliable follow up or supply availability, be prepared for frustration. I wouldn't recommend this office until management gets the front desk and sales staff proper training in patient care. I now understand the mixed and negative reviews. A response like "Your time matters, and we appreciate you bringing this to our attention" means little without action behind it. What would actually rebuild trust is the office reviewing what happened internally, reaching out to explain what changed as a result, and making sure the people responsible are either retrained or placed somewhere patient care isn't the priority they're missing.
