Got an oil change and full brake job for about $1,000. Work seems solid. Labor was on the higher side but fair for Minneapolis. Had to remind them to check on a brake issue, which they did for free. Like a hair stylist. A good one is hard to find. So glad I found these guys. Clean and comfortable waiting area, but walking distance to Target. Around half the price of the chain oil changes without any up selling. Very fast, professional and easy to deal with. I had a five star experience at Wilson's. I couldn't seem to find a time to get into my regular place and I was overdue for an oil change. I found Wilson's online and was able to request an appointment time--and they got back to me within a few hours. Wilson helped me at the front desk and took my info. Within 20 minutes my car was ready to go! The waiting area was clean and comfortable. I got a first time customer discount which was an awesome perk, and they even left a bottle of water in the car. DO NOT BRING YOUR CAR HERE, IF YOU CARE ABOUT IT! I have had two cars damaged here. The first was returned without it's center cap and the power steering cap was not affixed properly. They pulled another one off of another truck when I had to argue that it was most certainly there when I dropped it off. My truck was old and rusty, so I let it slide. Less than a year later, I brought my classic car in for a hose replacement. When I arrived to retrieve my car, it was parked so the passenger side was up against several other cars. I thought this was bizarre, but brushed off the feeling. It was freezing out and I had no reason to inspect the exterior of the car as they only replaced an engine hose. The next morning, in the light of day, I saw that my front passenger quarter panel had been completely dented in along with all of the chrome flare. I had not and do not drive this car anywhere but shows and maintenance. It was Sunday, so I had to wait until Monday to go in and show them the damage they caused. I was met with aggression and push back. After I told them that I have video of the car shortly before bringing it in (there was zero damage), they finally agreed to look at their security video. I was then quickly told that only the owner could access it and he had just left. I called the next day and was told that now the owner was sick and they did not want to bother him ( bother him about his business and employees damaging my car?!) about this and they would let me know in a few days. I called again a few days later and the new story was that they were locked out of their security video and working with the company to access it. I called back several times over the next few days and was given a different story every time. I then realized that they were giving me the run around until the video would self delete, which they said happens around 7-10 days after the date of incident. My car was in perfect condition and they knew that they had caused this damage. I was met with aggression, lies and no accountability. I tried calling the cops to make a report and they said that there was nothing they could do and did not have the resources/manpower to attain the video from them. I was left to file a hit and run. To this day, I have still not been able to find the OEM parts to repair my car. This was a show car that I had intended to sell and this has destroyed it's value. If you are wondering why I brought this car there after the first incident with my truck, it is simple. My truck is old, rusty and solely used as an A-B vehicle. My car is a classic and I mistakenly thought that they would handle it with care and respect. Do not trust them! Their "low prices" have ended up costing me money and countless hours trying to find replacement parts for my vehicle. This shop has zero integrity and will do whatever they can to hide their damage from site. Disgusting business practice! There are countless better and SAFER garages out there. My pickup died on me with a failed alternator in the north metro. The tow truck driver had no problem taking me 16 miles/25 minutes to Wilson's. They mentioned it could be 4 hours with possible parts acquisition. I replied it would not be a problem with Target and Home Depot an easy 10 minute walk away. They quickly offered one of their courtesy vehicles after I mentioned recently purchased groceries in my truck. I was able to place the perishables in my fridge and finish up some important computer correspondence at home. About 4 hours after I dropped the vehicle off, I received a call that they finished; including a coincidental, soon to be scheduled oil change. My car had damages to all 4 doors, as well as a smashed in window due to a break-in. A lot of work was needed for my 12 year old car, and it was repaired perfectly, including the paint match. High quality workmanship, as well as kind and empathetic words towards my plight. A most wonderful company in which to do business. Every customer is treated in a professional and friendly manner. I had brought my car to a guy to simply install a subwoofer and he accidentally drilled into my brake booster. He had me meet him here for an inspection and Wilson's told me it wasn't the booster and charged me $40 (mechanic Jose). I could feel the air coming out of the booster (top hole in picture) and confirmed at a reputable mechanic that it was indeed the brake booster that ended up costing $1150 to fix. WILSON'S DOES NOT CARE ABOUT YOUR SAFETY they let me leave with a busted brake booster potentially costing lives while the mechanic personally pocketed the $40 for his fraudulent services. read more

The job become more than what they originally thought it was, but instead of charging me more for the extra parts they installed, they stuck with their original quote and gave me the extra parts on the house. The job took them longer than they originally thought as well, but they finished the whole thing in one day, working beyond their normal hours to finish it up. I've only been here a few times, but I've had great experiences every time. First time in, I had an oil change done, and Wilson hooked me up with a coupon that was even better than the one I originally had. I just recently had some tires changed and an alignment done for a reasonable price. They also changed one of my dead headlight bulbs that I was unable to replace for a great price as well. More than anything, I appreciate that they haven't barraged me about how everything is broken on my car and I need something else fixed. A lot of auto places do that, but Wilson's hasn't. I had a flashing check engine light come on, and a very sudden rough running engine on my 18 year old Lexus late on a Saturday morning. My local garage was closed! I took a chance on Wilson's, a nearby garage I hadn't been to before. They were professional and courteous from the word go. They did a quick diagnostic, told me what they thought it might be, gave an estimate and said they would try to get it in that day, but the shop closed at 4:00 so they couldn't guarantee it. They were busy busy, I had a ride lined up and didn't have to have the car immediately, I was just glad I could get it in and diagnosed. I said Monday would be fine. I thought for sure it was going to be end up being a massive problem with the carburetor, and that it wouldn't get fixed till Monday. But at 5 o'clock, (after posted closing) I got a call and they said my car was fixed! I was stunned. Honestly, I have had some "not so happy outcomes" with mechanics, and my expectations for quality customer service has been pretty low in the car service industry, but WOW, this team is the best! Stellar communication, impressive customer service, and they fixed it a couple bucks under the estimate. Nothing big, but it matters. Plus, a few days after my visit they followed up to see if everything was running ok. Seriously? This is the crazy right way to run a business!
