I've worn glasses for 50 years and it never took more than 2 weeks for a new pair, until now! so now with the second pair the young man sold me on, I can't even see the lines on the road! I was sure it must have been the wrong prescription, but went back today to have them checked, and the optician had them made with just distance vision! absolutely NOT what I wanted! so, today's optician Nico said the only solution was to remake the glasses with entire prescription for progressives. so, now I'm out another $171.00! This is outrageous! This practice is very unscrupulous, and I'll be sure to warn everyone I know not to go here!

After dealing with the hassles at Eyeglass World for the last two years, I decided to try a different approach. These folks know the value of excellent service. Despite my teenage daughter browsing their selection for nearly 2 hours without choosing frames from them, they maintained their friendly, non-pushy attitude and really seemed to care more about my daughter's happiness with her choice than about making a buck. She's 15 and must have taken 20 pictures with different frames and "twitted, or twitterd, or whatever" to just about every friend she has... "Do you like these or these?" At the end of that timeframe I was ready to scream, but they just offered us juice, water or soda. Our family will make this their first choice every time.

How does that effect us? They have a proprietary scheduling system fraught with failures (it too bubbling with complaints) Do not use their Fulghum website for scheduling or zocdoc. System double books, has no triage capability to determine complexity beyond 10 min assigned. Staff is versed in passification though no compensation for the time off you arranged, transportation et al. Please call directly. Talk with a person for appt., get a name and title. If in person, appt card. If phone, get an email confirmation with that name and title before leaving or hanging up respectively. Staff change. You still have risk of rescheduling showing up or more than one email change appt, but perhaps it can be lessened? No attestation as to the doc. He works south fl and Jax. No matter, affabilty and ability are of no use if he is not available.

His recommendation was to replace the frame to something more durable since my fiancé tends to break glasses often. He looked all over his shop to find a nice frame that may fit the original lenses because getting new lenses for the specific script she has would take a week and a half. During this time him, his wife and I chatted up until he handed me a case with new glasses. I was shocked he was able to save the lenses and get the job done so quick! I asked how much? I had an outstanding experience with Davalt Optical. I live in Chile and needed to get new glasses…read morefor my old frames while visiting FL. I had a very limited window to get them made before returning to Chile. They went out of their way to assure a speedy turnaround. The complication was that i wanted progressive office glasses, however my prescription was not correct for progressives. Although not the fault of Davalt Optical, Kelly offered to remake them with a new prescription, if i never got used to them upon return to Chile. She even followed through with a phone call to find out how i was doing with them. She reiterated her offer to remake them at no additional charge. She asked when i would be returning to FL to which i said by the end of the year, however in reality, I was unable to return until the middle of February. Kelly assured me that would not be a problem. I brought my old frames to them and a week later she called telling me my new glasses were ready. I went to pick them up a couple days later on Friday. I did not realize they closed early on Friday, but when i called, they told me they would stay late waiting for my arrival. This is the kind of customer service that is sorely lacking these days. Yesterday I had a bit of an eye emergency. I've been dealing with a stye since last week and it got…read moreworse over the weekend (it grossed me out). My eye was swollen, my vision started to become blurry, and it was uncomfortable. I called Atlantic Eye Institute to see if they could fit me in for a same day appointment. I was NOT holding out hope, but when I called I was pleasantly surprised they had something open that afternoon. When I arrived I filled out virtual paperwork, and then waited in the lobby until my name was called. I can't remember the nurse I had, but she was pleasant, asked a bunch of questions regarding the state of my eye, did some observations, and then walked me to an open room. Dr. Diaz came in happy as a clam. Greeted me with a nurse. I told her I was sorry that my eye looked disgusting and she smiled and said these are interesting to us. So that made me feel somewhat better. After looking at my eye, she decided to drain the stye, due to the size, the discomfort I was having. It didn't hurt, she prescribed me a steroid antibiotic cream, and made me a follow up appointment and I was on my way. I was happy and grateful they could fit me in on the same day, because I was miserable before I came in.

Walked in and office staff was so friendly as I wanted to verify they accepted eye care insurance plan. They did made appointment and went in few days later. Easy check in - barely any wait. They explained process and introduced themselves Dr Stam's exam was one of the best and thorough I've had. So helpful and responded to questions, explained process reviewed the pictures of my eyes and explained it all. Oh the contact exam was great. I requested change from monthly to daily wear. He went through a couple pairs with me to see what worked best. Provided a weak sample. Wonderful.
