    Beautiful brunch

Great food, service decoration and set up. We hired Chef Will and Katie for a birthday brunch and it was absolutely outstanding. All our guests really enjoyed the omelette and waffle bar. There was plenty of food and we even got to keep all the leftovers! They do complete set up and clean up.

So grateful! We have newborn twins in the nicu this year and I was feeling a bit down I couldn't cook like normal... well, William Cox blew it out of the park with the garlic green beans, truffle Mac and cheese, loaded mashed taters and more!!! So delish! He made a salad too we didn't get to yet but can't wait to try it! Thanks so much Will!

Chef Will, his wife Katie, and their crew catered a wedding reception I recently attended. They were fantastic! They were all very accommodating and personable. The food was all absolutely scrumptious! Everything was displayed delightfully with lovely decorations. They started us off with a variety of mini quiches, some tomato/mozzarella/ basil/ balsamic crostinis, and some baked sausage stuffed mushrooms (those were my favorite!). The main course menu consisted of grilled & smoked tri-tip steak served with a roasted garlic cream sauce (mmmm mmm mm!) , herb roasted chicken served with a white wine whole grain mustard sauce (yummmay!), then for sides some roasted rosemary garlic herb potatoes, honey roasted carrots with thyme, garlic butter sautéed string beans, salad with an assortment of dressings and delicious garlic bread to finish it off. Everything was perfect. 10/10 would recommend for any catered event needs! Thanks Chef Will & Katie & crew for a memorable evening!

If you're looking for a caterer who will transform your celebration into a five-star feast, look no further than Will and his crew! They helped me pull off the surprise birthday party of the century for my dad's 80th, and everything was absolutely stellar. We went with the BBQ meal spread with two proteins. Both meats were melt-in-your-mouth juicy, cooked to absolute perfection. But the real showstopper was the truffle macaroni and cheese, and the crostini with tomatoes, basil & garlic. Oh my, it was next-level deliciousness!!! The service was just as amazing as the food. They kept everything running smoothly, and their smiles were contagious. But what truly blew me away was their extra touch: they brought their own themed decorations! It was so thoughtful and perfectly set the scene for an 80th birthday celebration. I can't thank Will and his team enough!!! Don't forget to get that truffle mac & cheese and the crostini's - trust me, it's the stuff of legends!

My wife and I attended a friend's birthday party where Chef Ray handled the catering, and the food was truly outstanding. Having spent 22 years in the food service industry myself, I'm not easily impressed--but the presentation, flavors, and overall execution were exceptional. Every item was fantastic. The bruschetta with goat cream cheese was fresh and perfectly balanced. The seared ahi tuna bites were beautifully prepared, and the shrimp spring rolls with ginger peanut sauce were bursting with flavor. Even the flatbread pizza with Caesar salad was spot-on. One great dish after another--we were honestly stuffed by the end of the night. What stood out most was the attention to detail and restaurant-quality presentation, something you rarely see at private catered events. Chef Ray clearly takes pride in his craft, and it shows in every bite. We're already looking forward to the next event he caters at our friend's house--and we'll definitely be using Chef 805 Catering for one of our own parties in the future. -- Anil

Have I really not reviewed this place? No way! I am an OG supporter of Zef BBQ since the covid days…read moreof driving up in a car to get the goods. And it's always been good! Can BBQ in Simi Valley be THAT good? Well, yes BECAUSE we are talking 'bout a good dude (and family) with an open mind and kind heart that brings that to his food. In what ways? Let's give an example - by taking chances with flavor - in the case of the past weekend for ISLAND OF ZEF. Like c'mon Logan be making loco moco AND bahn mi with island vibes and that 'cue smoke! And he's doing it out of a small as* kitchen with just a few staff, churning these orders out for the people. This is home-cooked value. This is local love and support for a business that gives back to its community. So what tips do I got? 1) Burnt ends hit all the time 2) Nanner pudding even better after you freeze it 3) Order early and chill in line - yep it can take a minute but good things come to those who wait 4) This dude SEASONS the food so don't be surprised 5) Themed weekends are a great way to explore outside of your everyday bbq comfort zone 6) Don't be sad if you don't see "Zef" live and in the flesh. I promise you 99 percent of the time he is back there prepping your shi! 7) Follow him on social media and be entertained (Do I have critiques? I mean nothing is ever perfect but you can directly share with him and he responds. And things continue to get better! I have witnessed the work and the growth and it's been awesome to watch!) @this_camera_eats_first

Customer service not good and Overpriced for what u get…read more The main guy with a man bun is sarcastic and kind of rude. I tried this business at their Benny Boy brewery pop up. Once I got to the front of the line he asked me to wait to order (guessing because they seemed like they had a lot of pending orders before me) which was fine. I noticed he was very obviously just killing time walking around aimlessly instead of helping the food preparers catch up which was the 1st little thing I noticed but tried not to think much of. Then when he finally got to taking my order, I only ordered the banana pudding and he asked me "oh just that why didn't you say so" like how am I supposed to know why you're making me wait to order?? I brushed it off and then decided to add on the bacon wrapped chicken "lollipop" thing to snack on for my order. He then asked me if I wanted the pudding now or when the rest of my order was ready. I said I can take it either way and joked about hoping I wouldn't forget the pudding when I came back to pick up my chicken order when he then said it was up to me because it's "not his responsibility" to remember. So it's not your responsibility to keep track of the customer's order before serving? Especially because they note the orders on physical paper tickets for the cooks. I've never heard of such a thing. It's kind of like when u order a drink at a restaurant and they ask if u want it now or with your food like are u not gonna give me what I ordered if I don't remind you? Mind you he's also very perky and talks with a smile so that he doesn't come off aggressive but he's actually passive aggressive and a little rude. Lastly, the banana pudding was just ok. It came in a deli container but tasted more like cheesecake in a tub which tasted good but not like banana pudding. The only banana flavor i got came from the actual pieces of banana which it had very little of and you can tell they were not fresh bananas. The chunks of banana were grey and bitter like they used bananas that were going bad or the premade "pudding" had been stored for a while which for $13 was not worth the price. $9 at best.

The Vineyards - Garden Ceremony The Vineyards Simi

    The Vineyards

    (260 reviews)

If I could pick just one word to describe The Vineyards and our wedding day? Magical. I had…read moretoured many venues in the Ventura County area, but none of them struck me the way The Vineyards did. I had a really good feeling upon pulling up to the venue, as it was clear there was ample parking. Not only that, but the greenery is well maintained and it looks absolutely stunning. It's easy to see from any of the photos, but being there in person just doesn't do it all justice. Every corner of the venue is well thought out and beautiful. The lights and greenery that make up the archways just gave the place an enchanting feel. THE VENUE/PLANNING: I knew I wanted a "garden" feel for my wedding and having attended 2 weddings leading up to my own, those experiences guided some of the more practical criteria I was looking for in a venue: -indoor/outdoor options for weather consideration -More than 2 bathrooms/toilets -Getting ready area for groom (in a lot of venues, there's some kind of bridal suite, but Groom facilities are more hit and miss) -photo op areas (plentiful!) -Large parking lot The Vineyards easily met all of these parameters and more. Aside from the above, I do want to note the HUGE bridal suite area with couches, tables and its own bathroom. I did not have a bridal party, but this can easily accommodate 15+ people. There were also 2 "ceremony" location options to choose from (garden or waterwall), and distinct areas for the cocktail and reception. There are so many little photo op nooks around the grounds that your guests can walk around during cocktail hour and enjoy the vibes. In the planning months leading up to our wedding day, The Vineyards was always very flexible and accommodating. They have a portal system which keeps all the important information in one place, in terms of information that they need, deadlines, correspondence, food choices, etc. Our wedding was in February 2026, definitely with the potential for rain. The venue (and all my vendors) were right there with me tracking the weather to see how it would play out. Luckily, it did not rain (down-poured the next day though!), and we were able to keep the ceremony in the Garden area. They did have options available to move the ceremony inside in case it were to have rained, and they went over a few details in preparation just in case. As other reviews have said, they offer a "Vendor Package" which I highly recommend. There are multiple vendor options within each category, but it is a huge perk that these vendors have the familiarity already, and really know where things are at the venue. I was very happy with all the vendors I chose; I'm sure you can't go wrong with any of them. THE STAFF: We met with Shadi, who first toured us around the venue. She is super sweet and very personable. She gave us a lot of detailed information and answered all the questions we had. We had even asked to tour the venue at night and she absolutely accommodated us, and turned on all the features so we could really get an idea of what it would all look like. Everything there is even more stunning at night, when all the lights are on. Shadi ended up going on maternity leave before our wedding and we were helped by Soroor and Jim, who were also incredibly helpful in all the questions that I had. Soroor was there the day of as well and helped me with my outfit right before the ceremony started. Jim was also there in the morning to help with a few setup items. Deana was our coordinator for the day and she is an absolute ROCKSTAR! We briefly met her during the food tasting, but we really got to see her in action at our rehearsal. I could tell immediately that she is someone that is incredibly organized, detail oriented and absolutely knows what she's doing. She is always thinking of the couple and doesn't make you feel like you're just another number. She was with us every step of the way from the start of the ceremony, making sure we had food and drinks during break times, keeping us on schedule with wherever we needed to be, handling and corralling difficult family with grace, and just generally checking in with us and how we were doing throughout the evening. It can be an overwhelming day, but it really does fly by, and having her there to guide us through it all is a big reason for why our wedding went as well as it did. We couldn't imagine having a different coordinator to keep us comfortable & stable. She made us feel that if anything were to have happened, we would be able to deal with it, no problem. We interacted with some of the wait staff during the Food Tasting as well, and not so much on our actual wedding day, but I received good feedback from our guests that all were attentive, friendly and professional. I genuinely feel that the team at The Vineyards really does care about making your day the best it can possibly be. I know that my wedding would not have turned out as amazing as it did, if I had had it at
