I tried this stretching program for the first time and experienced immediate results from my first…read moresession! I will preface this review that this was a free introductory session they offered for a limited time. THE PROCESS You lay on the table and the stretching coach does all the work to stretch you out. They strap you onto the table so they can pull on you without pulling you off the table. There is one stretch where they grab the arm on other side of table and then pull that arm across to twist you sideways at the hip....OMG....that was my favorite! It stretches your arm, shoulder, core, hip and leg all at once. ATMOSPHERE There is one large room with multiple tables. You are being stretched while other people are being stretched. Since this was my first visit, I wasn't nearly as flexible as some people there. It was truly impressive to see how far the coaches could fold back the legs of some of those clients! RESULTS AFTER ONE SESSION I immediately felt different when I walked. My hips and lower back were loosened up! It was truly amazing! Without repeated stretching the muscles tighten back up. They recommend a 12 week program where you come once, twice or three times per week. The per-visit cost is less when you sign up for more visits per week. TIPS - Wear loose clothing that will allow you to stretch. This is not the time to wear your tight jeans or restrictive shirt. - You can split a program between two people. For example, a couple both can purchase a program to visit twice per week to save a little cash, while each person uses one of the two visits per week. STRETCHING VS MASSAGE They don't offer massage but I compare since some people get a massage to loosen up their muscles. The stretching feels good but it's not relaxing like a massage. However, I found the results from one stretching session to be more productive for loosening up the body than massage. COST I found the cost to be less than a massage, but I don't get massages weekly. I didn't opt to continue the program because I couldn't afford it personally. However for those that are able, I believe you will get good results from a 12 week program! Only reason I gave it 4 stars was that I found it to be priced a little more than most can afford.

I'd like to start off by saying that I have always been a skeptical sort of person all my life. I…read moream a scientist, I like to deal with verifiable data, I went to medical school, and I have always supported evidence-based treatments for patients. Because of all these things, I came in to see Isa with a more-than-healthy dose of skepticism in the back of my mind. But I was also at the end of my rope. For the last two and a half years, I've been suffering from severe back pain. I've been to the emergency department twice with severe back spasms which leave me bedridden for weeks at a time afterward. I'm not even 40, and here i found myself relying on a walker to get around my house. I've been to a neurologist who at first was sympathetic, but later became passive aggressive when I asked for an alternative to relying on pain medications and steroids to control pain without doing anything about the source. I was told it was my fault, even though he had diagnosed me with degenerative disk disease. After my second episodes of spasms, I was walking with foot drop, and had no reflexes on my right ankle, with diminished reflex in my right knee, but I was being told my pain was "mechanical" and not spasms. I then remembered reading an article about how the military had approved the use of acupuncture to treat chronic pain, citing evidence to support its effectiveness. And this is how I ended up looking into acupuncture. I had to share this long and rambling background to illustrate just what a life changing effect acupuncture treatment had upon me. Right off the bat, after the first session, I was able to walk out with a more normal gait than when I came in. Over the next sessions, I've seen much improvement, to the point that I am able to start running again with minimal discomfort! A couple weeks ago, I was able to run non-stop for five miles! It may not seem like much to some, but I haven't been able to run or even walk without pain since November of 2015. To me, it's given me a chance to lead a normal life again, without need for drugs to control my pain... it's a BIG deal! Thank you, Isa!
