The studio is welcoming, clean and has lots of space. I took class with Kristine, she led a powerful traditional style Baptiste class with a great rock playlist. I had a great time, she had clear cues and offered a lavender cold towel at the end too. Verdict is in, i did indeed sweat, a lot! I will be back when I am in town!

SYC is tucked away in the back room of Ordinary Magic on Bernard Street, with free street parking…read moreavailable, which is super convenient. They offer a wide range of classes throughout the week--morning, afternoon, and evening--with options for every skill level, from beginner and relaxation to back therapy and advanced. I first discovered them through their amazing intro special for locals: three weeks of unlimited yoga for just \$59. It was the perfect way for me to try something I had always wanted to do but didn't know where to start. After the intro period, you can choose from various membership packages, pay-as-you-go, or even try their online remote classes if you prefer to practice at home. What really won me over, though, were the incredible teachers and the supportive community. It didn't matter what your body type was--curvy, slim, recovering from injury, or anything else--everyone was welcomed with open arms. The atmosphere was so positive, and I never once felt out of place. I have knee issues, so there were a few positions I couldn't do, but I was always able to communicate that at the start of each class. The instructors would offer modifications or alternatives, which made me feel cared for and supported. On top of regular classes, SYC also hosts workshops and mini music concerts with yoga--another great way to experience the studio. Overall, SYC is a truly welcoming place to practice yoga, no matter where you're starting from.

Clean, well decorated, calming and inviting environment to enter and leave your problems at the door. Loved the ease of booking a class online and the clear instructions on what to expect upon arrival (entrance to studio, parking availability, mat rentals, etc.) The gentle flow class is relaxing, low intensity and effective for de-stressing and tuning into yourself. My instructor Stephanie was fantastic. She has a very clean and deliberate teaching style unique to her own practice which set her apart from the majority of yoga instructors I've had in my time. Looking forward to coming back soon.

I had never really heard much about this place, but after seeing all the free offerings of the week I decided to check it out. Firstly, the staff was super friendly and welcoming from the moment I walked in. The place was extremely clean and smelled amazing. The yoga room itself was dim, yet inviting. I really enjoyed the class and now I look forward to attending paid classes in the future. Glad I got the chance to check it out!

It was a blast. Right on the beach. Weather was wonderful. The instructor greeted us and the other 12 or so people and was very polite. The session was relaxing, somewhat challenging and enjoyable. I had to be redirected or helped a bit by the instructor because my form was poor, but I appreciated that! I'd be willing to do some beach yoga again- and I'd choose Jobs Yoga Cntr if I did.
