I was referred to Willow Gardens for their service of planting flower pots at one's home. I am now disabled and not able to do it but love summer flowers. Jennie came and measured pots and we talked about color and she assured me she would get back to me with a plan. SHE NEVER DID. I called numerous times but was treated very rudely. Lack of professionalism is astounding- Staff rude and didn't have the decency to tell me they can't do the work. read more

Stopped by here in winter, so didn't have many Expectations. However, the gift shop was well displayed and quite large. Of course, we got to see the greenhouse which was huge and an awesome surprise; it was all set up with Christmas decor. They did a good job for winter display which I think would be a hard thing to do, plus they had free coffee and cookies. Great store can't wait to go back this Spring/Summer. read more

Still LOVE Willow Tree... Came back today to purchase my holiday goods and sadly some of my items had been sold. They were not on hold so that's my bad, but just speaks to how great of a place this is and when you come and see something you want you better get it same day! Prices are all over the board here, but most of the merch is well worth it. The staff is soooo great and during the holidays they really put you in the spirit (they also serve coffee, cider and HOME MADE cookies). I tell everyone I know to come here, even during the non- holidays they are an awesome nursery and have adorable decor shop inside. read more

I am giving a 2 star review not based on their plant selection, which is great, but rather their employees lack of smiles, friendliness or even sheer joy to be working amid the beauty nature has to offer. I have shopped there for many years and as an avid gardener also shop elsewhere. go to Watson and everybody is upbeat. you're greeted with a hello and smile by almost every employee. they let you know they're there and happy to help you. Hmmm, maybe that's why it's. easy to drop a few hundred dollars every year. living in Fircrest so close to Willow Tree I'll stop by there to see what's in and if there's something I don't already have. But what a downer vibe. The employees are literally grim. I've been in sales for years and they need an overhaul big-time. its almost like the customer is a burden. And folks, it's been like that for years! Since my last typical visit I just had to write this review in part hoping that they will read or hear about this and take a happy pill! And a Thank You at the close of the transaction is good too. read more

I stopped going here. I gave it one more try. The outside garden staff has the personality of a rattlesnake, especially Amy. Customers are treated like a nuisance when needing help or have a question. They're moving to Gig Harbor, good luck.... read more

This is not a huge nursery but their selection of high-quality season-appropriate plants is very good. They have a large gift shop with several rooms and much more than plants and nursery items. I saw some beautiful scarves and jewelry and managed to find a great gift for someone at much less than I would likely pay at other nurseries. Prices are very reasonable. Staff are helpful and there is plenty of parking. Recommended. read more

Fantastic business...Found FB advertising for this place. So I went and checked it out. Employees were great.. I purchased some gifts, ornaments and didn't want to leave. It was like walking through a Winter wonderland.. Christmas trees, ornaments, gifts.. "Oh, my"... I would definitely recommend this place to everyone. While I don't garden or have any interest in the nursery, the gift shop was fabulous! It was a fun maze to walk through and I was surprised how many other sections there were to it! The prices were very, very reasonable. They do offer layaway which I will have to utilize in the future I'm sure! My only two qualms... lack of signage. There is a sign travelling east on 27th but not travelling west. The sign is hard to read and the font is small. I had to wait a while to be helped in the gift shop. There were other shoppers also. However, once helped the lady at the counter was very nice and rang me up quickly, though she didn't make any mention of apology for me having to wait. I'll definitely be back for the gift shop. Though I probably won't really go to the nursery. I don't garden. read more

I was immediately impressed with the excellent quality and vast selection of plants--rarer plants that you won't find at Lowe's or Home Depot garden center. Last year at one time I dropped about $150 for 2 full carts of plants and some bat guano (the best organic fertilizer IMO)--altogether a very good investment. I had to wiki the Greek names on the tags of many of the flowers I bought. Their sedum selection is amazing--this is the place to go if you like rock gardens. Other things I bought were gaura, linaria, penstemon, Monterey Cypress, New York aster, and a host of other awesome plants all already sprouting in our warm El Nino weather this year! I have some sub-dividing to do. I highly recommend checking this place out. read more

I have been going there for decades. I have always received top customer service. It is a small business - not Lowes. Sometimes they are over run with customers and can only wait on a person at a time and try to acknowledge other customers. As a customer in a business, I can tell that a clerk is busy and look around until someone can help me. As a business owner of a family business in its 60th year serving the public, I know how hard it is to make people if they are not the center of attention the minute that want your attention. I take reviews with a grain of salt like the one about not being served right away. I also noted that the complaint about the plant was not planted like the two others so it depends on if she watered it properly as it would burn out more quickly in the pot. I have been in that store with it was not busy and when it was over whelmed with customers and I have never heard a clerk be anything but lovely to the customers. I just wonder how that person acted in the store. In our business we deal with hundreds of people ranging from the kindest person in the world to the most irritating. We try to be kind no matter how we are treated but it is not always easy. If you give this store a chance, they have wonderful plants, they are very helpful and the gift store is the best and the prices are reasonable. Every person who has received a gift from me from this store has loved it and i see them displayed in their homes, Each season as I pull out the decor I bought for that time of year, and later go into the store, it reminds me where I bought the items I just displayed in my home. If you like different home decor and holiday decor that is not from the box stores, you will love their offerings. When you are in a small store, please treat the clerks with kindness and patience. We are closed at 5 pm too. After a day of working with a hundred people or so, I want my employees to go home and be with their family. They are open both Saturdays and Sundays. If you have any family members who lived in the 1950's, 1960's, and early 1970's, we did our shopping on the weekends. Even the grocery stores closed at 7 and some closed on Sundays. You learn to deal with it and make plans around it. i liked it better because clerks got to be with their families in the evenings and on weekends. read more

I have been shopping at this nursery for several years and thought it was a nice neighborhood nursery. I like to support local businesses but no longer will take my business here. In March 2010 I purchased the only huckleberry plant they had in stock. I few days later I was able to find more huckleberry plants at Garden Sphere on North Proctor. In a very short time the Willow Tree plant looked different from the other 2. I am a fairly good gardener so I was surprised that within 3 months it was beyond saving. When I took the dead plant into Willow Tree, I was told how difficult it is to grow huckleberry plants in pots. No mention of this when I purchased the plant - and theirs was the only put it was in as I planted it in the ground. There were a fair amount of excuses made but ultimately I was told all sales are final. In my opinion, when a native plant can't survive 3 months, something is wrong. (The 2 plants from Garden Sphere, planted in the same location as the dead plant, are beautiful!) Willow Tree looks like a nice place - just don't expect too much. read more

There is more to this place that you might think. I went in for some shade loving plants (lucky me, garden gets no sun...) And I found tons of options. Prices were normal (not more or less than Home Depot.) Then I saw some inside stuff...SO MUCH stuff!! It was really fun to walk through. I wanted everything. They have fun stuff at each holiday too. I took the kids on Halloween and we picked up some fun decorations. I love this place!! Much more than plants. read more

We had bug issues with three of our purchases from the nursery. One was a $140.00 tree that had white fly. The other was a $130.00 cedar that had so many ants in the root ball it could have planted itself. When we called to complain we were told to bring it back. They don't even warranty their stock. In my opinion, it's because they don't take very good care of their place. Looks a bit run down. I won't be back and in my opinion, you shouldn't go either. read more
