I really like this nursery. Great prices on a great selection of fruiting trees, vines, and shrubs. Bought two bare root fruit trees in late January, an Akane apple and a Rainier cherry, with great root structure and great branch structure (the best part about buying something bare root is that the tree isn't rootbound and hopefully the roots haven't been clipped to fit it in a small pot, so it should grow well.) The owner, Troy, is very, very knowledgeable about what will bear fruit in this region. There's a huge assortment of figs, deciduous fruit trees, blueberries, citrus, and more, in a variety of sizes (the web site has lots of details on what's there). I'd never seen different camellia sinensis (tea) varieties but ended up buying one as an experiment. Am planning to make it back to get a couple of honeyberries as an experiment, and maybe some other plants as well. I've planted fruit trees everywhere I've lived, and I can say that there's nothing as awesome as wandering out to the garden and picking your own perfectly ripe fruit. I'm really looking forward to apples and cherries next year! The nursery isn't paved, so you may want to wear appropriate shoes. read more

Bought a kaffir lime tree ($60 or so..?), and a hardy kiwi ($20). Owner was super repsonsive and I felt comfortable paying, and my friend picked it up for me, driving them from Seattle area to Portland. Shortly after, my plants started struggling. I emailed several times, asking for some advice about pruning and care, and no response whatsoever. The kaffir never branched out, and the kiwi dropped its leaves. 2 years later, they are both just dead sticks. I clearly didn't do something right, but these plants weren't inexpensive. Take your chances, but just don't expect any kind of support or response after purchase. read more

I bought 2 small jujube trees online from this nursery. I was a bit hesitant at first as the trees were just in 1 gallon pots, but then I realized I had no choice when it came to these special varieties and I really really wanted to have them. None of my local nurseries carried these varieties. I looked up on Facebook to see if people had reviews for 1 gallon jujube trees and found some so I kind of knew what to expect when the tree arrived, that they would be small, look like dry sticks, lol, and with enough luck, it could bear some fruit the next year. The handling and shipping was quickly in my opinion, I received my plants after 6 days. Communication in emails was good. I think they have at least 3 different emails and one may be more active than others. The trees were still in dormancy while being shipped (which was better than shipping a leafy tree in my opinion), I repot and trimmed some of the roots off as I saw the rootstocks had so much roots tied up in the 1 gallon pots, the grafts still looked new, probably it was the first year of the grafts. The trees have been doing well and slowly waken up in the past 2 weeks. Overall, I'm pretty happy with this purchase. [smile] Maybe I'll update with more pictures later. read more

Don't be put off by the signs and the lack of a huge covered nursery. It might be a bit tricky to find, but just head towards the Grandview Dog Park and you can't miss it on the right. Amazing nursery with a great selection and prices so low you think there's a catch (there isn't, just some petals and dirt that might be in the car). Tons of different types of fruit trees and to pick from and very friendly and knowledgeable people. I came by unsure because it was tucked between houses and there was 1 dirt parking spot and an arrow where to go to find the Nursery. But once I got there my mouth dropped. It was BEAUTIFUL. There were so many options, and fruit I've never even seen before. Troy was extremely helpful and he told me about all the different fruit they had and answered all my questions, as I am only a beginner gardener. I left extremely happy with a raspberry bush and a blackberry bush and only $11 dollars short. Cheap right? The prices were a WAY less than at nurseries, and as I understand it they deliver free to a lot of areas (including Seattle) with a $150 purchase. Who wants to get soil in their car? This is definitely a Garden of Eden. I was a little unsure because of the location and dirt parking. But the selection is AMAZING, the prices beat that of Carpinito Bro's, Costco and Home Depot. You will get wonderful trees, plants and bushes that will produce more, and bigger, produce. I WILL be back time and time again.
