It was a pleasure ordering a custom bouquet from this shop! When I walked in, we discussed what I was looking for (something a bit airy and romantic), received a quote and was able to place an order right away. Even though it was a little different than the usual structured styles on their website, they were able to accommodate and also make sure it was free of flowers that might be toxic to cats. The staff were very personable and easy to communicate with. I appreciated the displays in the back with price ranges, and thought my custom bouquet was quite reasonably priced, too. This is the flower shop I didn't know I needed. First of all (and they might remember that I mentioned this) you can smell this place from several yards down the sidewalk. I do not think that has EVER happened to me before and I have walked past quite a few florists in my time, including those with flowers placed outside. This place is FRAGRANT. Kent Buds and Blooms exceeded my expectations! I came in while waiting for my food order nearby. I was greeted immediately and was impressed with the store. They offer a variety of plants, flower arrangements, gifts, and accessories such as stickers, pots, pet related items, and much more! I am new to house plants, but saw a plant that could join the only one I have at home. There was a bunch on sale for $5, and I selected a cute pot for it. The gal behind the counter was really sweet and informative. She even put the plant in the new pot with soil and added a couple of rocks. Ordered arrangement several weeks ago requesting purple flowers and what I received were some purple flowers and what appears to be pink flowers. The vase is purple, so they got that right. I am very unhappy. Manager argued with me stating they are purple even though they look pink. I asked a few people what color the roses were and they said pink. Manager was unwilling to be helpful, she did offer to make a new arrangement and stated I would not be happy with it. I will never use them again, I paid around $70 and didn't get what I wanted. I've ordered two deliveries from Kent Buds & Blooms, and both were great! The first experience was with ordering a bouquet for a new baby. Ordering was seamless, and the delivery was made on time. The second experience was for a delivery to a male colleague to congratulate him on his wedding. I ordered a big plant for him and had it come to my attention at work so I could set it up with everything else we gave him on his desk. The plant was healthy and strong in a classy silver tin. I received duplicate emails from the vendor telling me that the orders were completed, then processed and finally delivered. The only con would be the frequent spam they send via email. read more

What a wonderful little shop! I needed a bouquet last minute, (I had planned on going to a flower stand but it was closed) and Buds & Blooms came to the rescue! The employee, who's name I can't remember was wonderful and very friendly. She offered to make me a bouquet in my price range if I had 30 minutes, but also gave me the option of taking one of their pre-made bouquets and changing it to my liking. My time was tight, so I went with a pre-arranged bouquet and made a few changes which ended up lowering the cost. She was knowledgeable, helpful and clearly loves what she does. We stopped in here before a graduation at Showare last Thursday to buy flowers for my daughter. That was part of our plan. The sign said, "be back soon." We sat on the bench outside and waited for a half hour and no one showed. We gave up and went to the graduation without the flowers we very badly wanted to give her. You have nice flowers but it's not good business to be closed during business hours. If you're gonna close, just close. Don't put a sign up saying you'll be right back when you're not going to be right back. More than thirty minutes is not "right back." That's lying and You're just wasting people's time. The positives -- so many. reasonably priced, descent in-store selection, friendly, owner operated. If you order in advance, their selection is fairly typical, but I have no doubt they will add their special touch. The negative (first time only) -- if you don't know where it is, it's very difficult to find and there is no on-street parking. However it is located in the bottom floor of the Green River Community College Kent Extension. There is ample parking behind that building and a short walk through a breezeway and you're right there. If you ever find it necessary to go into the store again, this will be a non-issue. I can't rate the delivery service because I picked up the bouquet and vase for my wife's birthday and delivered it myself. Also, if you need service before opening hours listed, give it a try. No guarantees, but you just might get some unexpected help (within reason). read more

Located close to my home, I stopped in one month ago and so enjoyed my visit. The store is adorable and the staff was friendly. I picked up my August 31st order of center pieces, corsage and boutonnière. I selected arrangements matching my parent's floral arrangements from 50 years ago. Late this morning I placed an order to have flowers delivered to a friend that was having a bad day. I knew ordering them that I was not going to be able to get them delivered same day. On the special instructions I mentioned I knew it was last minute, but if there was any chance at all could they deliver them today? I got a phone call from a very nice girl letting me know there was a strong possibility they could deliver today and even better she thought they could have them there before 4, which is when she gets off work. I cant rave enough about Kent Buds & Blooms! I called WAY last minute and asked if they could deliver flowers to my daughter's school within the hour before her dismissal bell rang. The driver was out and extremely busy; however, they were able to accommodate my request. They even offered to drop it at my house if they didn't make it to the school in time without charging me any extra fee. I was very impressed with the customer service over the phone and with how quickly they accommodated me. My daughter loved her bouquet and cried with joy when she got her beautiful flowers. Buds and Blooms got all of the floral arrangements put together with extremely limited notice. They sell flowers in the store too which I nabbed up to treat myself. The lady working helped me put together a custom bouquet which I love. Terribly disappointed. I ordered the PREMIUM Country Basket Blooms for delivery for my mother's birthday. She received the flower basket and emailed me a photo. I was shocked to see the small size of the basket compared to the photo of the premium basket pictured on the web site. I paid $77.95 for a $30.00 basket in my opinion. I'd hate to see what an "As Shown" basket looks like! On 9/25/16 I sent Buds and Blooms an email with photos of the delivered basket and asked that they call me. I received an auto-reply stating someone would contact me. It wasn't until I sent a 3rd follow-up email and 23 days later that someone finally called to tell me that they have to follow certain instructions for Teleflora orders and had I have CALLED THEM, they could have enlarged the order for around the same price!!! What?!?!? There was nothing on their web site telling me that if I call I could get a better deal!!! Very deceptive selling tactics. I will never order anything from this florist again. I'm in the service industry an deal with customer service all the time. Ace at buds in blooms is amazing his customer service skills an willingness to help is amazing. This is the third time I have used this company an every time they were spot on. This time when I called there was a problem with my bank card an I needed the flowers delivers by noon. Ace said I'll get them ready an when you figure it out call me back 20 min later I got a call from ace an he said he had set me up on a house acct an that if I didn't get the card fixed he could bill me an that the flowers were already on the way. I was baffled at this there are not a lot of company's out there that are still like this that are so dedicated to customer service it is amazing. This is the only floral company I will use. My experience with Buds & Blooms turned out to be fantastic. I needed to have some sprays made for a family members funeral and they were needed fairly quickly. The funeral was in downtown Seattle and because of their location in Kent, they use another company in Seattle to fill and deliver the order. The clerk that took the order accidentally sent it to the wrong company. When I checked on my order Monday morning, the owner, Ace, had already realized what had happened and was working on my order personally. He immediately assured me that they would fill the order at the Kent store and drive the delivery to Seattle themselves on Tuesday morning. The flowers arrived in a timely manner, despite the terrible traffic getting there and they were absolutely beautiful. They did such a nice job. I couldn't have been more pleased with the outcome. One simple mistake could have become a huge disappointment that day, but instead, we had three gorgeous sprays that stood out at the service and looked so lovely. I feel the customer service I received was above & beyond and I will always refer them to anyone looking for a great florist. read more
