I received a large bouquet of flowers from my daughter delivered to me for Mother's Day on Saturday morning. The vase was 1/2 full of water and some of the stems of the flowers were not in the water so I filled the vase but by Monday the flowers were all wilted and looked terrible. I'm not sure what else I could have done to keep flowers alive more than 3 days. I did reach out to the shop but never heard back. I would not recommend getting flowers from this shop, they are very expensive and not worth the cost. Update to previous review: Iris&Peony emailed an apology for the wilting roses and provided a replacement. This was unexpected and appreciated. Photo below. read more

We purchased an arrangement to be delivered locally for our aunt's funeral. We paid for the 'premium' arrangement and got a a much smaller arrangement with less flowers and roses. It did not look like the picture below. It was 1/3 the size and volume. Really disappointed. We didn't take a photo of the arrangement at the funeral because it's rude. But if you do order, I would contact the company and be very specific about your arrangement and your expectations. Wow. I was very hopeful they would deliver something close to what we thought we ordered online. They were to deliver on 24th. They delivered 23rd. $100 later mom sends a picture with no pine cones, no holly, no evergreen boughs, it's maybe a $40 arrangement and mom says it is overwatered answer sloshes over! I'm so disappointed. Ugh. Yuck. It's NOT EVEN CLOSE TO PREMIUM. They gratuitously refunded our payment and apologized for the mixup. Let me start this out with, I use to be a Flower Buyer for many years back in New Jersey. I would buy flowers from the Miami Flower market who imported them from South and Central America. Later the company I worked purchased their own farm in Ecuador. I know a little bit about flowers and because I do, I rarely buy them. Yesterday was a friends birthday and she was ill, so I wanted to make her feel better so I looked up a local Florist so she could have that little extra of having flowers delivered on her Birthday. I picked out an arrangement that had the flowers that she likes and a cute little vase that the description said was special. I was satisfied with my piece and upgraded it as high as it would go in price. All toll, between the cost of the flowers and the delivery it was just short of 100 dollars. I was okay with that, if it made her happy. I will admit they made her happy or at least she said they did. They did not make me happy. What she received and what was advertised could not be further apart, including the dollar store vase. I went next door today to QFC and could have gotten twice the arrangement for 24.99. The least Iris and Peony could have done was call me on the phone and say...nothing is going to look like the picture. We don't have the vase, we don't have the flowers, we are just going to wing it and not wing it well. I would like to post the pictures I took, but I don't see that option any longer. read more

I usually never write reviews but I cannot let this one go. This is a $45 bouquet which is pitiful. The flowers are wilting after one hour after pickup and the women that took our order was very unpleasant. To top it off the card cost a $1! Why would the card cost anything? I mean really! I bought an $80 bouquet as well and half the flowers were still closed so not a great presentation for $80. It will be my last stop here. read more

What he brought home was an OK bouquet with small white roses and bent over lupin and white stock. Not a single iris. I am impressed with his effort, but the first thing he said at home was "which ones are irises?" I finally got a chance to visit this lovely store which I've been itching to see during business hours. For months I've been visiting some of the many great restaurants in Burien at night after operating hours and looking through the inviting window displays of all of the great giftware and unique household items and decor. When I entered the store today I was greeted by friendly and helpful design staff as I looked in awe at so many great gifts and artistic floral designs. In speaking with Robyn the owner I learned they offer floral design classes and create custom event decor and flower arrangements. I'm a designer for many years and it takes something special to catch my eye and great customer service to draw me into wanting to work with someone. I definitely recommend this business and working with Robyn and her design staff. read more

I'm very disappointed with their customer service. I ordered flowers for my stepmom's birthday to be delivered February 5th. I received an email on February 4th there wouldn't be deliveries due to the weather that day. They never stated my order was canceled, and after hearing that four bouquets from four different florists were delivered I was confused as to why mine weren't. I called at 9am which is supposedly when they open but nobody answered. At 9:30 I called and spoke to Monique who couldn't have been less sympathetic. When I told her about the other bouquets which were successfully delivered by other florists she became snippy and rude. She told me she didn't know of anyone delivering. When I told my stepmom the name and location of the florist she was surprised they wouldn't deliver as she had driven locally with no issues right past them. My biggest issue is that they didn't offer an alternative delivery date and Monique's attitude was quite curt and rude. I prefer to support local businesses but I will never use them again. read more

My sweet dad in the midwest sent me flowers for Valentine's day. He likes to go with local businesses instead of online florists, and I'm glad he did. The bouquet of roses looks and smells beautiful, and the greenery and accent flowers are nicer than the usual fillers. When I called my dad to say thanks, he said that the person he spoke to at the store was very friendly. If you're looking to send flowers to someone in the area, this is the shop I'd go with. We ordered a bouquet from Iris and Peony for our high school reunion. The bouquet was to be placed next to a "memorial board" of deceased classmates. Because of the sensitivity of the occasion, we brought a picture of a bouquet that we liked and asked I&P to put together a bouquet as illustrated in the picture. The bouquet was to be delivered to me at the hotel where our reunion was being held. The delivery truck driver drove to the hotel, went to the front desk, and asked for me, but since I was not a registered guest, the driver returned to the flower shop with the flowers undelivered. He did not attempt to call me on my cell phone the number of which was on the order. When I discovered the problem, at 3:00 on a Saturday afternoon, I called I&P and was informed that the store was closed and no delivery was available. I was directed to send someone to the store and if they hurried, I could pick up the flowers there, which we did. The bouquet had no resemblance to the picture we had left with them to use as a model. It was a totally unsatisfactory experience. Don't trust Iris and Peony with any special flower bouquets! read more

Ordered a basket of flowers for a viewing in Burien. Iris and Peony did an outstanding job the basket had the WOW factor that I wanted. Even a family member remarked on how beautiful the basket was! They also supply plants for St. Francis Parish in Seahurst which is where I found out about them. Flowers were very different and were very fragrant. Thanks for doing a great job. Should have know when I walked in and was told what I was asking for was wrong and treated in a condescending manner. I really don't even want to give them a one star, they don't even deserve it. My boyfriend picked out a centerpiece arrangement from their website and ordered it to sent to me. It was very thoughtful and romantic of him to sent me an arrangement. I was so surprised and felt the love from him, but I was so disappointed of the arrangement, it was the ugliest arrangement I have ever seen, and not only that it was over $130.00. My arrangement was supposed to be bigger, a bigger teddy bear, and a real box of chocolates, instead I got a small only a few flowers arrangement, a smaller teddy bear, and three small bags of Dove chocolate maybe from Safeway for $2.99 ea. Needless to said we are never ever going to order from this place again, nor will anyone I know. I wish I could give them a better review, seeing that they are a local business, but I cannot. My husband has ordered several arrangements each year from I & P, but the last two were not the quality you'd expect from a florist. The latest arrangement was for my birthday. It arrived with numerous flowers and fill-ins already dry and wilting. Within the next two days, it began to deteriorate greatly - a sign of not-so-fresh flowers. I called to speak with the owner about the lack of quality and offered to send photos, which I did. She emailed and stood by the quality of what they delivered to me and said maybe it was my preference, which I understood to mean I was unhappy with the flower choices. Hmm, who preference is wilted? I offered to bring the arrangement back to her, she said that would be good and also offered to refund my husband's money. He took the arrangement back, they refunded our money, but we will not buy from them again. Oh, she seemed shocked I was not happy and said they'd only had two unhappy customers. If the postings on here are just a small percentage of unhappy clients, it's certainly more than 2. Maybe they did not contact and register their disappointment with them. read more

Wow! What a sweet surprise it was to come home to such a beautiful bouquet of such fine quality. I have been in the shop before, but this was my first time receiving flowers from someone else from Iris & Peony. What made it extra special, was the base my bouquet came in doubles as a candle holder, and they even included candles to light after my bouquet is gone.
