Had those for some time and thought I needed a professional to tell me if I need them replaced. (note, I am extremely scared of dentists due to improper care in the past) NOTE: I paid $10.000 for the horrible service that I am trying to be brief about on here. $5.000 for my permanent retainers. He came up with a plan that my crowns needed to be replaced. I had permanent retainers placed by my Orthodontist years ago to keep my lower front teeth in place, and I paid $5,000 for those. He took it upon himself to remove my permanent retainers, told me that my teeth would not move, I am 57, of course, they will move. He half extracted one of my lower front teeth in the process, very painful. I cannot bite into anything; my lifestyle/food habits have changed due to the half extraction/cannot bite into any foods. I kept going back and forth throughout that time while he tried to come up with a plan for my 4 front teeth. He said for me to come into his office on 6/2/2025, which I did to discuss the bridge he said was the only plan he had that could fix what he messed up. We have been on the phone multiple times trying to come up with a solution for the mess he created with my 4 lower front teeth. On 6/2/2025, he dismissed me and said I was not his patient anymore, and said he was sorry for the mess he created. He had planned the dismissal and did not want me in his office anymore. He took my 10.000 andmade my teeth worse. He said I am not to come into his office anymore. Got a call from his office manager on 6/5/2025, stating I will not get a refund/no work to be done to fix my teeth/not to call or come into the office again... I am at a loss as to what my next move is because Dr. Stephens is the person who created the mess with my teeth, took my permanent retainers out without my permission, took my money, and refused to fix my teeth or see me again due to me being 'unhappy,' he stated... Dr. Stephens has his eyes set on money/financial gains, not on helping patients. Steals your money and does not treat the patient/me and then discards his patients after taking their finances...

I live in Pearland,Tx and her office is in Spring, Tx which is a 58 minute drive which is worth every minute and second of the drive. The state of the art office and the wonderful staff made it very comfortable for me. I forgot I was having my tooth pulled. All that week prior to my appointment , I tried to cancel and Dr.Jackson talked me through the entire process on a daily basis what I would expect before and after the procedure. The day of I was so nervous she told me anytime during the process we can take a break she just wanted me to be comfortable. Well the procedure was successful wonderful I had no pain and I didn't have to take any pain medicine at all. To say the least I have found my new Dentist thank you Dr. Jackson.

Dr. Jackson is equally amazing and was able to answer my questions and give guidance when Dr. Boulos was unavailable. Now to Dr. Thompson (did my root canal). I cannot say enough positive things. The staff are all friendly and as a whole, the entire clinic has an excellent work ethic. There is no time wasted when you visit and they work with you on pricing and interest free payment plans. My brother has now had his broken tooth extracted and fitted with a flipper until he heals and can have a new tooth installed. The surgery was quick, and for the most part painless. We will definitely be coming back, thank you guys! TLDR; I recommend this place, 10/10.

Mr. Cort, the hygienist, is always calm, nice, and sweet, and the rest of the staff has also been wonderful. Unfortunately, our most recent visit with the dentist was very disappointing. My special needs son, who is autistic, nearly cried because the dentist could not get him to open his mouth for an X-ray. Instead of showing patience and understanding, the dentist became loud and pushy, saying, "He wont open his mouth, I don't know why he wouldn't, he's done this many times." His tone was not discreet, and the interaction left my son feeling scared and uncomfortable. My son almost cried while he was sitting at the chair. Even though my son has managed dental visits before, this experience has now made him fearful of going at all. It was very disheartening to see such little compassion for children with special needs. After years of loyalty, we will now be looking for another dental office--one that treats all children with kindness, patience, and respect.

Upon arrival I was told they would NOT do my cleaning g and check-up unless I did an expensive "deep gum" cleaning. I told the office manager I couldn't afford it, but they refused to even do a basic check up unless I gave in to their extortion demands. It is one thing to recommend a procedure, it is another to refuse service for other unrelated issues unless you give in to their demands completely. Come on YELP and read many other reviews about the same issue. Something has changed in this office and their practice. I will be going back to get a written detailed explanation as to their operating procedures.

Let me begin by expressing how disappointed I was with my recent visit to your office. While no one…read morewas overtly disrespectful or used inappropriate language, there was a noticeable coldness in the professional atmosphere that I believe is worth mentioning. I came in specifically to have a veneer on my front tooth reattached--the same veneer your office placed approximately two years ago. Without my knowledge, I was charged $180 for what was described as an "evaluation," despite the issue being transparent and straightforward. That fee felt excessive, especially given the nature of the visit. Once I was taken back to the service area, I waited for over an hour before being seen. The actual reattachment of the veneer took only a few seconds. To my surprise, I was then charged an additional $350 for the procedure. This experience was quite different from my previous visits, where I had built a positive and trusting relationship with Dr. Gonzalez, who initially recommended the crowns and veneers. As someone who has spent much of my career in public service--including working in hospital environments--I understand how important it is to treat every person with care and dignity, especially when they are vulnerable. Many of us go out of our way to ensure others feel seen and valued. As a former officer who has served this country and interacted with people from all walks of life, I can say sincerely that your office has developed a clinical, impersonal atmosphere that left me feeling unwelcome and uncomfortable. I was very much looking forward to coming here, and my first visit as a new patient was a huge…read moredisappointment and a complete waste of time. I have never been in a more painful dental chair in my life - and that includes the emergency room at Parkland hospital. I have not had any issue or problem with the chair at ANY other dentist. As soon as the hygienist finished the x-rays and reclined the chair I was in serious pain,both back and neck. I just have an average, 52 year old bad back, too - no serious spinal condition or neck injury. I can't imagine what being in those chairs for more than a minute or two would feel like for someonewho does. I was told that all the chairs there are the same. The hygienist was nice, friendly, and the desk was as well. I never met the dentist during my new patient visit, although I was told several times she was "on her way back to meet me". Even after I explained to the hygienist what the issue with the chair was, and was told there is no solution, she then told the dentist, and the dentist never made it back to my exam room. Again, a complete waste of time, and a huge, frustrating disappointment. Especially for a first visit to a new practice I was really excited about. The irony here is that I found this practice for my wife and I, and after some research, I booked both our appointments. This was MY idea. Hers was before mine, and she couldn't stop RAVING about how great the dentist is, his care and concern, his chair-side manner was awesome, how wonderful and helpful his assistant was,how great this office is, and we were both excited about my visit the following week. I was scheduled with the other dentist, and had the opposite experience. I can't help but wish I had been scheduled with my wife's dentist, I might have had a similar experience. Instead, I was treated like an afterthought, and ignored by the dentist who couldn't see her way to come to my exam and meet me, and address my concern with the chair. So now, my wife and I, who would have been regular patients at this practice (with a lot of work to be done), are going to find another practice. Because I was scheduled with the other dentist, not the one she had. We left our previous dentist for similar experiences; feeling ignored, like out concerns weren't being heard or addressed. What a disappointment.

It matters not how small or large the work that is required. The staff..when I walk in, when I am working with the talented professionals who assist Dr. Miller, when I receive the explanation of costs, the procedure, and executing the payment process, I feel at home. In a Dental office, that is hard to achieve, but at SCD, it is the norm. Kindness, support, courtesy, professional work, and being treated with respect is lacking in most corners of our culture.
