We were referred to Dr. Janet Le when I was pregnant with my first and searching for a pediatrician, and we feel so lucky to have found her. From our very first meeting, we felt completely at ease--she was warm, approachable, and knowledgeable. We were living in West Plano at the time and chose her without hesitation. Since then, both of our children have been under her care since birth. Even after moving to the McKinney/Allen area, we continue to make the drive to Willow Bend Pediatrics just to see Dr. Le--that's how much we value her care. They're always able to get us in when one of our kiddos isn't feeling well, and my kids actually love going to the doctor because of her. That says a lot! Dr. Le has an incredible bedside manner--she's warm, friendly, and always takes the time to listen and explain things thoroughly. We've never once felt rushed during an appointment. As long as we're in the DFW area, she will absolutely remain our pediatrician. We can't recommend her enough! read more

This place is completely out of touch. We called to schedule a checkup for our toddler and they informed us the only time available was 11:30 even though we requested an afternoon appointment. After taking off work to make it work, significant storms came in and made it to where we were 15 minutes late. Instead of seeing us then, they demanded we reschedule for 4:30 later that day - even though they wouldn't schedule us in the afternoon when we originally tried making the appointment. Love dr. Sickler, she is amazing. But scheduling process is a pain. You can't get a time in advance, you can't see doctor tomorrow. The only thing you can do - call them every morning trying to schedule a "sick" appointment and there is no guarantee that you will see YOUR doctor, it can be any of them. It is impossible to schedule "non rush" visit, only annual check ups or sick reason. Frustrating.... read more

The facility is always clean and it's pretty easy to schedule an appointment but there are insufficient appointment reminders. Parking can be a bit tricky. We saw Dr. Michaels in the beginning. Our first son received 5 vaccinations in one visit we noticed a change in his demeanor. The doctor dismissed our concerns. After some delay we confirmed an autism diagnosis. Dr. Lee was great in allowing us to use the Sears schedule for our second child. However, I was dismayed to learn that the same nurses who administers the cocktail to my first child continued to administer vaccines to my second. After more review I found that the nurses did not follow the Sears schedule completely. I was devastated and have loss trust in their service. Thankfully second child remains typical. read more

For the past 11 years my 3 kids have received outstanding care from this practice. Through that time, our primary physician has been Dr. Susan Sickler but we've been cared for by all of the doctors at some point. Until January of 2019, treatment has been for the usual suspects-- ear aches, strep, well visit, a MRSA infection, and wax impactions to name a few. That changed in January when Dr. Sickler saved my son's life. I was told by the medical transfer team that moved us from Children's Plano to Children's Dallas as well as multiple neurologists that cared for my son, that our pediatrician was the reason that when his condition turned dire he was already in the hospital and that he received life saving treatments. My son presented with a headache and fatigue. Most doctors would've swept this into a viral category and sent us home. No fever. No strep. No flu. No other symptoms. A nagging headache and sleeping non-stop was unusual for my son who prided himself on perfect attendance at school. Dr. Sickler listened. My son turned out to be a 1-in-a-million kid who had brain and spine inflammation caused by Acute Disseminated encephalomyelitis. Tuesday he went to school. Thursday he was on a ventilator. All that to say, I'd drive hours to see Dr. Sickler so if you need a referral for your own kids, I recommend her with all my heart. read more

We have been going to Willow Bend Pediatrics, specifically Dr. Frank, for 24 almost 25 years now since my oldest son who is now 27 was just turning 3 and we had just moved to Plano. They always make room to see your child if they are sick. We've never had a problem getting a well check, even now with my youngest who is now 18 and a freshman in college. The staff is always friendly and love how they have taken care of my 3 children. I highly recommend any of the doctors at Willowbend Pediatrics! read more

My girls have been seeing Dr Michaels since they were born and she's super nice. Everyone is professional, the office is always clean and the nurses are always friendly and informative. They have plenty of handouts for whatever your kids illness or behavior problem. Dr.Sickler and Nurse Becky are hands down the best! We have been with them since my daughter was born. Dr. Sickler is amazing, attentive, caring and hands down the smartest person on the planet. She never forces meds when they are not needed and is always available for questions! My kids ask to go to the dr to see Dr.Sickler and nurse Becky even when they don't need to go! 1 star for office staff. Horrible appointment system. No reminders before the appointment. Once the appointment is set and confirmed over the phone, their system does not recognize if there was an appointment made ever. We have two kids and it is not easy to miss work (dad) and miss school (mom) and bring kids to the office in order to find out that we do not have appointment in your system when your office called a week earlier and confirmed our appointment. very frustrating. read more

Dr. Michaels has been my child's pediatrician since we moved here 5 years ago. The past couple of years, I've just felt she's not invested in us. She has tried 3 times to get us to move to another practice....Girls to Women. I have absolutely zero interest in having my child move there. She's nice and calls parents directly with test results. But, doesn't appear to want to see my teen anymore. I tried emailing their office with my concerns and to ask if there was another doctor in the practice willing to see a teen. No reply. We love Dr. Le (and all the other fine doctors and nurses). She is wonderful with my 7 year old and he is comfortable talking with her about how he's feeling. We never get pushed off to the next day if he's sick - they always see him the day we call for a sick visit. If you get on Frisco-Online and look for threads about pediatric practices, Willow Bend comes up as recommended many times. We left one of the "popular" Frisco practices because the front office staff was so horrendous and the check-out lady (a family member of the lead doctor) yelled at me like I was an idiot when I asked her a question - overbooking, miscoding billing/insurance messes...we got out of there fast. All of the doctor's have been great, but Dr. Sickler is our primary physician. She is like family to us at this point. She has been with our 2 boys since they were born and helped us so many times. She goes above and beyond to make sure that they are getting the care they need. From surgeries to broken arms. The best part is she listens to all concerns and addresses them as needed. read more

We moved to Plano recently and had need of a pediatrician. Dr Sickler is amazing. She is patient, thorough, gentle and very knowledgeable. She took her time with us and asked lots of questions in order to understand the problem. I particularly liked that she spoke to my grandson directly with her questions and listened to his responses as well. He warmed up to her very quickly and declared she was the best doctor ever. I am a first time parent of a now eight month old, and brought my daughter to Willow Bend Pediatrics starting when she was two months old. She always had great weight gain, but this stopped around four months - at four months, she weighed a little over 14 pounds, and by seven months, she only weighed about 14 1/2 pounds. Over the course of these three months, she was at the pediatrician once for her six month appointment, once because she was having terrible stomach pain, and once because she was severly vomiting. At her six month checkup, I mentioned my concern about her lack of weight gain and was told it was fine. At our appointment for stomach pain, I told them that not only was it keeping her up at night, but it was affecting her eating. The pediatrician thought her pain was due to acid reflux and prescribed her medicine. When that didn't help, they essentially said it was gas she would simply outgrow. At her appointment for the vomiting, I suggested perhaps she had a peanut allergy, as she had peanut butter shortly before the vomiting began. The pediatrician said that could not be true, as there was no rash, and that it was likely severe constipation. When I questioned that diagnoses, as my daughter originally struggled with constipation when starting solids but it had gotten better, I was shrugged off. Finally, I decided enough was enough and took her to a pediatrician who shared my concerns and ordered bloodwork. Come to find out, my daughter does have a peanut allergy, in spite of Willow Bend Pediatrics assuring me that was impossible, and a couple of other problems that became severe because they were left untreated. Since seeing a new pediatrician, she has gained over a pound in a month, and her stomach pain is MUCH better. As a first time parent, I fully trusted Willow Bend Pediatrics when they told me her weight gain and stomach pain were normal - I had no other experience to go off of. Now, I know it was anything but; however, I should be able to trust her doctor and not need to question what they tell me. Every child deserves a doctor who truly cares about them, and I did not find that to be true at this practice. read more

Same day appointment was scheduled and I was a new patient. Dr. Frank was Very nice. Very little wait time.

My daughters have been seeing Dr. Frank for 10yrs. They love him! The office is very clean and new looking. The appointment system is great because they only schedule sick appointments on the same day, so I don't have to worry about them not having an available appointment on the day I want to be seen. When I call because my child is sick I know they will see me on that day. I have never had a problem with the front desk staff. We never have to wait long to be seen, like I do when I go to my doctor. I have recommended several people to this office and will continue to do so. read more

Horrible first impressions. Not at all welcoming to new patients. I ended up going with a different pediatric office due to the obstacles in scheduling a first appointment with this office. My child needed a wellness visit, and the office refuses to even schedule something until all prior records are released and received in their office - which I was okay with. My frustration was in having no clear guides as to next steps once the office receives the information. My child's former practice told me they had released the information yet when I call this office they continue to deny that they received anything and said that I would just having to keep checking back with them to confirm they received my child's medical information before they will schedule an appointment. How about they call me to confirm receipt so that I could schedule an appointment? Based on this experience, I do not recommend them. read more

My baby has been seeing Dr. Nguyen ever since he was born and we LOVE her! She has great soft skills, is very knowledgeable, and is super accessible should we need anything or have questions outside of our appointments. It is also evident that every nurse has been very well trained in handling babies; minimizing the tears during each shot. Each of our visits has been filled with informative pamphlets pertaining to each development stage. Being a first-time parent, I have many questions. Dr. Nguyen is always so patient in answering every question thoroughly while offering relative resources and samples for whatever issue I'm concerned with at the time. There is barely any wait time once we arrive into the office and the receptionists are very sweet and courteous. The facility is adorable and clean with warm colors and lively décor. I have been so impressed with Dr. Nguyen and Willow Bend Pediatrics that we continue to travel from uptown for every visit. We have no complaints! read more
