I have lived in my house for 24 years. Always called Willmans because of two brothers Paul and other. They have one guy Scott who is a hot head and a nut but I never got him after a bad experience. I renovated my house and upgraded to Viking and wolf and subzero appliances. The Viking dishwashers were 3400. They were used improperly by a tenant and when called Willmans Scott shows up to tell me to throw them out. Not worth fixing. I showed him out and called appliance genie. They came and fixed the machine. The issue with the high end machines is that repair people don't wNt to work with the manufacturer on phone because they make the most money doing quick non technical repairs. Our sliding freezer drawer door inexplicably broke off on one (small child may have have something to do with it). We called Willman based on multiple local FB recommendations. After trying to resolve this problem for over 2 months with the owner, I finally have to write a review I don't want to write. Our dishwasher was overheating and we decided to call a local service after having problems getting a hold of Sears, the manufacturer of the Kenmore dishwasher. A gentleman came out and spent 36 mins trying to diagnose the problem and couldn't. He left saying it's either 1 of 2 things, please run a cycle, and let us know which problem it is. Upon hearing that, and paying $150.33 for his 36 mins of time after leaving without fully diagnosing the problem, we decided to give Sears a call one more time. Sears came out, and within 30 seconds diagnosed the problem: the mother board was shot. This was done with a diagnostic test apparently available to all repairmen. Upon hearing that, I called Willman back and explained the above. I also explained on their own website they did not list Kenmore as dishwashers they serviced. So, I thought that may have been in the problem, but she said they do service Kenmore. She was also surprised that her repairmen did not use the diagnostic test and that she was also surprised that he left putting it on our hands, and said she was going to speak to him right away. More than 2 days later I got a call by the gentleman, returned his call less than 1 day later, and never heard back from him. I proceeded to call the woman again a few weeks later, she remembered me, and was going to speak to her repairman and call me back right away. 5 days later, and after 2 phone calls, she finally picked up the phone and refused to let me speak to the repairman. She was immediately defensive and would not let me speak. And when I did, she didn't want to hear what I said. She also questioned (the previous time as well) why wouldn't I call them back if the dishwasher wasn't fixed after they came back. I proceeded to tell her that if I take a broken car into a mechanic and a mechanic gives me my car back still broken and doesn't know what the problem is, why would I go back to them. She also proceeded to inform me that I paid for a 90 day guarantee (for $90) that if there are any problems, I'm covered for trip charges. I asked her where was that listed, she said it's not listed and I should both know and she would have told me. I explained that we spoke to you to set the service, had a repairman come out, and further spoke to you again, and that was not mentioned. She only wanted to believe her repairman's side of the story and would barely let me speak my side, and my wife's side. Found Willman's on my neighborhood face book page. Needed my dryer repaired(no heat). Called their office and spoke to a lovely woman named Livi. Made an appointment for the next day 8 to 11. Scott showed up at around 7:45 and had my dryer up and running in about 25 mins. The repair charge was very fair. With three kids and a pile of laundry mounting up i felt like i hit the lotto finding them. They are my go to appliance repair guys from now on. Nothing like reliability. read more

Last year I called Willman's have my oven repaired. The repairman came out and was having trouble diagnosing the problem. He said he would do some research and get back to me. He never did. Even after three subsequent phone calls on my part. Last week, in need of a different oven repair I decide to try again. They are a local business for me, and I try whenever possible, to use support my local businesses. My bad. I made two phone calls to the office on two different days Both calls were answered by a secretary who said I would get a call from the repairman/owner to schedule an appoinment. I was called a liar by one of their employees when I called and left a message complaining that their repairman had failed to show up for an appointment (when I had taken an afternoon off from work to meet him). The single worst customer experience of my life. DITTO on that! The woman that answers the phone is curt at first, and quickly turns downright rude! My biggest issue: It was my mistake to NOT ask if they would charge a "service call fee" for just coming out to look at my stove. I certainly should have asked, but they also didn't mention it, and I really think she should have, considering the fee to just come out was $125! I believe this fee is waived if they do the repair work. I would have had them do the work, we even had it scheduled until I learned that the entire cost to fix one burner on my gas stove, would cost close to $400! I had to cancel! My stove only cost about $600 brand new--and the problem is one burner! The cost was outrageous. Still didn't know about the service call fee until we received the bill! My boyfriend paid it....I would not have. The rude condescending manner of that woman who answers the phone alone was basis for me not to give them one penny! What a shame! read more

Seemed very nice on the phone, although the person at the office couldn't really grasp the problems I was trying to explain. Was referred to the actual repairman, who understood perfectly and asked for pictures (which I sent) of the stove in question. Never called me back, even after I left repeated voicemails asking him to do so. Finally did call me back after I called his office and inquired, and then got belligerent when I asked about why he had taken so long. Totally unacceptable customer service. Very poor customer service and appreciation. The woman/part owner Libby who answers the phone is curt, obnoxiously rude and condescending and blamed me for a mistake they had made. She also said they would get back to me multiple times and never did while I am living without laundry for weeks. I think they are very disorganized and like to blame the customer when they lose appointments, etc. Go elsewhere if you can!!!!! read more

I had an unusual phone exchange with someone I believe might be an owner. She suggested that, given the age and make of my dishwasher, it was not worth a service visit to fix it. She let me know how to reset it electrically by turning off the breaker for a bit but if that didn't work, she suggested that we purchase a new one. She did not have anything to gain from this advice and it was very wise and much appreciated. This leads me to believe they not only know what they are doing, but they do it is an ethical manner. Had a issue with my oven. My neighbor suggested to me to call Willman's service. i spoke to a lovely woman in the office. Due to the fact that i work i figured it would be hard to make an appointment. The woman (which turned out to be the owner) said she would bring in her tech early so he could come first out to me in the morning(8am).Michael showed up right on time and went right to work.He diagnosed my problem in about ten mins.He ordered the part i needed and left. Two days later the office called and made the same arrangements with me for the following day. Michael returned and had my oven up and running in about 30 mins.He did a fantastic job and was neat and clean.The rates were fair and the labor and part were warranted. I read the other review on yelp and who would expect a company to send a truck and tech out to your house for nothing. Did she really expect to get service for free? How would they stay in business if they did free service calls. She should call Sears or GE and see what they charge for a visit. Maybe she is a new homeowner and is not into reality yet or maybe she thinks Willman's service is a Church or non profit organization. Anyway the service i received from this company is the reason they have been established since 1933.It's always a pleasure to find a small family business that stands by it's work. -- Willman Service came to my house to fix a dryer that was not heating. I was told that the dryer was not connected to the gas line. Michael, the repair person, connected the dryer and said it might need an adapter kit from natural gas to propane. He said he would contact me about the part needed. I was called by Willman Service for payment for the dryer and told no adapter kit was needed. I paid for the service call with a credit card over the phone. When I subsequently tested the dryer, a few days later, it still did not heat. I contacted Willman Service. Their phone is answered by a very unfriendly woman who would not let me speak about the issue. Initially she declined to send a repair person telling me I needed a plumber or I should contact the manufacturer of the dryer. After a prolonged struggle on the phone, she finally agreed to send Michael back. He was supposed to arrive on Friday, 9/11/15 with a window of 11-2:00. When he had still not arrived at 1:40 I called the office to check on his progress. They were unable to contact him. I left the house at 2:00 and got a call at 2:20 that he had arrived at the house. I told him he could enter the house in my absence and fix the dryer. When I arrived home at 6:00 pm that evening, I found the dryer unplugged and the exhaust hose disconnected. There was no explanation. No paperwork. Nothing. Because the dryer was still hooked up to the gas line, I was unsure if it was unplugged by Michael for a safety issue. I called Willman Service on Friday after hours and left a message asking to be updated on the status of the dryer. According to their automated message, they have Saturday hours from 9-12:00. When they did not return my call by 9:30 on Saturday, I called again. No answer. I called again at 11:30 and asked, again, that they let me know what the status was with the dryer and if there was a safety issue that prompted Michael to unplug it. There was no answer again and my call was not returned. They have charged me for a service call that did not repair the problem; they were late and discourteous about standing behind their work, and finally they did not communicate with me what the current situation is with the dryer. I have now contracted with another service company to fix the dryer. I have asked Willman Service for a refund, which they denied to me. I explained that I had submitted a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. They said that was fine. I disputed the claim with my credit card company while Willman Service was on the line still claiming they did nothing wrong and refusing to refund my money.
