My mom called them on a friend recco to fix a Maytag washer that was not starting. The recommended repairman was not available, we took the next available appointment from who was available. Repairman was scheduled for 3 days later, the showed up as scheduled and inspected the washer. They said it would need replacement of 2 lock mechanisms (both left and right) as well as the main control board, whatever, we were fine with that we just wanted it fixed, they said they would let us know when they could get the parts to come out and fix it, and since we had already paid them $166.43 for the service visit we would only be charged parts and labor for the fix. they called my mom back 2 days later and said that that control board was no longer available from the manufacturer so there was nothing they could do for us. I called back and asked if I could source the parts if they would install them for us, they said they wouldn't. I asked them to confirm that they identified that it was the control board and both latches that needed replacement, as at this point I figured I would just try to repair myself, they confirmed both latches were bad as well as the control board. Anyway long story short, I found the parts and ordered them, after going through the diagnostics on the device I couldn't see anything indicating anything other than the left latch was bad, I replaced it and everything is working fine. I'm not sure if the technician was just upselling us by replacing parts that weren't bad? or perhaps just replacing anything that might be a problem? but clearly his diagnosis was incorrect, and on top of that to say after we had already paid them $166 that there was nothing they could do, I mean they could have just replaced the latch mechanism (that is still readily available) without trying to make us spend more money on a logic board. Anyway I don't really know what was going on here, but I do not trust these people at all, either they are innocently incompetent or just trying to rip people off neither of which are characteristics of somewhere you want to spend your money. read more

I had Jonathan come by to fix issues with my (brand new) Viking kitchen appliances. I can't speak for the rest of the company, but Jonathan was extremely professional, helpful, and knowledgeable about the products he came to fix. The 3 issues he came to fix now seemed to be resolved. If you work with Absolute I would definitely suggest asking for Jonathan. The work was covered under warranty, however if I had to pay out of my own pocket it would not have been cheap (as I understand, it would have been at least ~$200 in labor costs alone for an hour or so of work). The other less than ideal aspect is the amount of wait time before the appointment. It was over a month between when I first reported my issues and when they were finally resolved. While this is due in part to the availability of the new parts I needed, it also seems to be partially due to Absolute Repairs being understaffed. Fortunately none of my issues were emergencies, but if I had had, say, a broken fridge, I don't expect that my perishable food would have lasted a month..so, make your appointment in advance. As an aside, beware of Viking appliances, apart from being expensive and shiny, the quality has not blown me away so far... read more

From start to finish I had an excellent experience with Absolute Appliance Repair. The office staff was very friendly, and stuck to the appointment we made. Chris, who performed the repairs, was extremely helpful with the LG warranty process. He was able to order the needed parts (two doors and seals) and had them replaced as soon as the parts arrived. The fast turn around, and them keeping me in the loop are what sent me back when our water dispenser was leaking. Chris was able to talk me through an easy fix over the phone. read more

We are all in lockdown because of the Covid, and the Bosch dishwasher broke. After youtubing how to fix it and trying everything, we finally broke down and called Bosch to recommend an authorized repair company. We were wary of having a stranger come into the home and spreading the virus but the repairman came very well protected, even with protective shoe coverings. He was very professional and fixed the dishwasher no problem. the price was much less than anticipated and we couldn't be happier. no more fighting over whose turn it is to do the dishes!! Repair tech fixed one problem, caused another and the owner Chris Lombardy insists it is not his company's fault and will gladly charge to have it fixed. Absolutely shameful! He even went so far as to accuse me of breaking it to have his company do a free repair! Really? My wife and I were recently given a Lynx grille by a close friend's parents. The grill had been sitting outside under a tarp for a couple years, so I thought it would be a good idea to find someone who is authorized to service it. I called Lynx Grills today and was referred by Lynx Grills to Absolute Repair, Inc. in Putnam Valley, NY. It seemed like this was going to work out great since I live in the same small town. When I called Absolute Repair I was given the runaround; the technicians aren't there, the manager isn't available, etc. I just wanted to bring the grill in and have it serviced but was told I can't do that. Ultimately I was told by the completely un-helpful girl that answers their phone that she would have the manager call me back. She took my name and phone number and said it would be just a couple minutes. Two hours later I hadn't received any call, so I called back. Of course the same useless receptionist answered my call. Somehow magically she had "just spoke" with her manager and told me they can't fix anything that has to do with plumbing. This comment meant absolutely nothing to me. Grills have plumbing? Since I've never owned a grill like this I told her I had no idea what she was talking about and if there are plumbing parts in this grill I had no idea what they were. And, of course, the manager this whole time just didn't have the time to get on the phone and help a potential customer out. So I was stuck with this girl who obviously had more important things to do than perhaps attract a customer. Then the girl told me she could send someone out for a service visit to see what, if anything, they could do. Finally something she said seemed to be solution-oriented. $155. That's how much she told me I would be charged for someone to come over. $155. That's one hundred and fifty-five dollars. Just to take a look. 5 minutes away. I explained that I'd rather just bring it by and have someone look at it. Nope. Not allowed. I have to pay $155. I asked if $155 is what it really costs someone five minutes from my house to drop by and look at my grill for two minutes. Her answer was "yes" and that's when I told her "no", gas doesn't cost that much. Then she did all that her obviously limited skillset would allow her to do; she hung up on me. So this is who Lynx Grills referred me to. I can't figure out if I'm more angry at the mismanagement and flawed business model that is Absolute Repair Inc. or if I'm more pissed off at Lynx Grills for putting me through this. Does Lynx Grills do no vetting of their service providers? Is this type of treatment and lack of service okay with Lynx Grills? Meanwhile I have a Lynx grill that probably cost over $6000 and I can't get someone to offer any type of help. In my company, we bend over backwards to take care of customers. We have 111 years of reputation to defend and promote. We do what is right and we make sure we never leave a customer unsatisfied. Sadly, it seems Absolute Repair Inc. doesn't have this same approach, and Lynx Grilles either doesn't know or doesn't care. read more

This was Absolutely the BEST service and repair experience from Absolute Service. I had Absolute Repair take care of a safety recall issue for a Bosch dishwasher. Their follow-up and response time was excellent. They sent a repairman named Jonathan R. to make the service call. He was on-time, friendly, courteous, good with pets, meticulous with detail and cleaned up after himself (no charge as this was a safety recall) While in my home, I was having a problem with my refrigerator and he diagnosed the problem, had the parts ordered and came back within a week. He called before the window of time to tell us of his ETA. Once again Jonathan FAR EXCEEDED our expectations with a stellar service call. Jonathan is a GREAT Brand ambassador for Absolute Repair. We used this company at the request of the manufacturer of our dishwasher (LG). We were getting an error message. Getting an appointment was not easy. They would only book appointments between 4-7pm. Once we did finally get a repairman in, (Jon) was SUPER nice and respectful. He said that if we had any problems we should call back for no charge. The problem was not solved. He came back and fixed that problem with the dishwasher, BUT (unbeknown to us) caused the dishwasher to leak under the tiles in the kitchen. The tiles began to crack. We called them back and he fixed that problem and was very apologetic. HOWEVER, the owner (Chris) was not willing to take full responsibility for the damage to our house. We are in the process of getting the problem fixed and dealing with it through our insurance. read more
