Came here on a whim with my daughter and her Fiancé being late at night and most restaurants were closing soon! It's a nice diner! I was reading some reviews that the burgers are great here but I ordered a pork medallion dish that was a special that evening instead. All I wanted were sautéed onions in my dish, not the other vegetables which was probably why my plate was loaded with onions! So much in fact you couldn't see the meat, LOL! But, it was very tasty and served over some rice. Not enough room for more with all the onions. I would get it again though, just half the onions next time. The matzah ball soup was delicious! A big bowl with a lot of flavor served with lots of chicken, veggies and a big matzah ball! I also have to mention the bread basket with garlic bread that is brought to your table to start and it was really tasty! Portions are very big, there was plenty left over for dinner the next night! My future SIL ordered the Chicken Parmesean and it was really good (I tasted some) that he finished it all! My daughter ordered the half spring chicken served over an apple stuffing. That was really delicious (I tasted some ) so if I don't order a burger next time, I will be getting the chicken. Dessert was OK, I got the cheesecake and it was fresh and creamy! Still a local go-to diner. I ordered delivery today and was so disappointed i felt the urge to update my review. I ordered two identical egg sandwiches and they arrived differently! Different cheese, one had tomato and one didn't... There was a slight "detergent" taste to everything- When ordering on the delivery app you must choose what kind of bread or cheese and they ALL cost extra... Rude Service, Bad Food, Never Again! My family and I have been coming to this diner for over 20 years, unfortunately this diner has been going down hill for the past 5 years. Our friends don't go here anymore. To start off the "hostess" was not very welcoming and our waiter was very neglectful, never coming once to check on us or offer us coffee. The waiters and bus boys and "hostess" were unbelievably loud. My husband and I had a hard time hearing each other. When we sat down, our waiter gave us dirty napkins. My wrap was way over-priced and my husband's omelette was cold and flavorless, as were his home fries. When we asked for the check, our waiter just placed it on our table and walked away. The hostess was very impatient with my husband when he was trying to pay the bill. After we paid, no thank you from the hostess and waiter. This is the last time we will go. It's such a shame. What a popular diner! On this occasion, three of us dined; two had breakfast and one had the early dinner special. (Note: the Sunday dinner special is available all day, however, if it's not dinner time, you won't get the dessert that the special comes with). Here are our menu choices: - Beef Brisket ($19.95 Sunday dinner special), comes with a veg and a potato of your choice. (No dessert since it's not dinner time). - Belgium Waffle deluxe ($13.80), comes with a large Belgium Waffle, bacon, sausage, ham and one egg. - Farmer's omelet ($13.95), three egg omelet w.bacon, ham, sausage & cheese and toast). This is my favorite neighborhood diner. I love that it's not a huge place. It has a very intimate feel and I always enjoy seeing neighbors from town. On my last visit with my husband and daughter, we had the nicest waiter who was warm, friendly and attentive. You got the feeling that he wanted you to have a great meal and a pleasant experience. He engages with you table side with his easy going banter. The food is always delicious and come with great portions. My favorite meal is without a doubt the cheeseburger platter. The burger is juicy and delicious, fries perfectly cooked. And of course you can't beat the diners famous chickpea salad that begins every lunch/dinner meal! The meal comes shortly after ordered. But you can relax and take your time. There is no rush at the Williston Park Diner. Disappointed today. Service not what I expected. I did not get my food the way I ordered and wait staff never came to check to see if everything was alright. When I informed him that my home fries were not cooked enough (I requested well done) I was told that they did not make them that way because it takes longer. WTF? I would be happy to wait for food prepared the way I like it. If that was not possible, I would have ordered something else. I sent them back uneaten. Expensive, but worth the cost. Burgers are big, cheesy, and juicy. Bread to meat ratio is also good. Staff is very friendly, I talk to them whenever I come here. Fries do need some work when they're just normal. You can ask for them to be as crispy as possible, and they will do just fine. Very crispy. Breakfast and dinner is also good. The restaurant itself looks very appealing, with artwork on the walls. It looks like how movies portray a neighborhood in the 1950's time period. Overall, 10/10 read more

My husband and I went to several diners during Thanksgiving weekend and considering the fact that diners normally have larger portions, this one in particular had the largest for sure! The wait staff were nice and accommodating - so much so that we had 4 different wait staff come by our table, which was a little confusing, and we weren't quite sure who our waiter was... Overall, the food was great, though my home fries were unseasoned in my eggs Benedict order. Like not even salt hahaha which I guess is good for those who can't have too much sodium. Cons: Undercooked cold french fries, I couldn't find the waitress after she dropped off my dish. I wanted some mustard. I finally asked the busboy who brought some honey mustard dressing. I'm not going to say this was a 5 star restaurant but it was certainly a 5 star diner. It was bright and very clean. Everything in the dessert case at the entrance looked excellent. I really wanted dessert but my meal was so big I couldn't finish it, let alone have dessert. I ordered the 2 meat sandwiches combo for $14.99. It was two whole sandwiches on rolls. It came with potato salad, cole slaw, a pickle, and chick pea salad which came first. My only negative comment would be about the potato salad. It had an unexpected sweet taste. This diner is always clean when I walk in. I've never sat to eat in, I always do take out. I guess it's supposed to be an upscale diner, if the prices are any indication. The food is good and in the beginning, there was a lot of it. Now, after I've been there a few times, not so much. I'm trying to stay away from carbs. So I asked if they could make me three scrambled eggs with just lettuce and tomatoes. I got a large coffee with it. The lettuce they gave me, hardly covered the bottom of the aluminum dish. The whole thing set me back, almost nine dollars! Really? For that I should have gotten the whole kit and kaboodle...carbs and all! Stopped for lunch yesterday at around 3 which must have been an off hour as only a couple of tables were occupied. Its been awhile since dining here and we remembered the food was good. We ordered a Bullseye Burger Deluxe med rare and a Turkey Burger with salad substitution for french fries. The coffee and iced tea we had were fine and so was the little chickpea placed on the table gratis. The good: The burgers were great, nice and juicy, particularily the beef burger with egg over easy. The bad: The accompanying onion rings were hard as a rock and were replaced. I wish I could say more about the Town House diner but my only meals there have been eggs, in one variation or another. You walk into a very modern diner with lots of window walls so it very bright. The various hosts and hostess' have alway been extremely personable and very welcoming. One thing about the Town House diner is that so many of their clientele are regulars and you can see just how comfortable everyone is there with the servers. I ordered eggs and I will say that if you can bring me my standard eggs over easy with well done corned beef hash and it comes out 'like that' and hot you've scored all the points you can here. The waiters and waitresses have always been extremely personable, friendly, and glad to be helping you. They keep an eye out for the coffee refill and removal of any unnecessary dishes. The owners have spent a fair amount of money sprucing up the place and it always looks modern and clean with very shiny lines. The parking tends to get a little tight but I am always able to find street parking either in the front on Hillside Ave or on the surrounding streets. I will definitely pay them another visit perhaps dinner so I can experience some of their specials. In the meantime, I'll enjoy my eggs. read more

I ordered the silver dollar pancakes and I think I got like 12 pancakes. The picture I posted was after I had eaten for like 15 minutes.... The bacon here is good. We usually come here just for breakfast. The food is good and freshly made. We always go with French fries instead of home fries. And they always come out piping hot. I like corned beef hash and I always ask for it to be cooked to a crisp but no matter where I go, I can never get it that way. The place is clean, the parking has never been a problem for us. Portions are good - we never leave hungry. The price feels a bit high for breakfast, but this seems well within the range for this area. One day we ordered a Caesar salad with chicken to go. I've been coming to this diner my whole life and have so many memories at this place, from having breakfast here with my parents, to grabbing a quick lunch with my grandma, to having dinner with friends (both local and visiting). In that time, I've seen this diner grow and evolve, including its most recent facelift that added a quaint waterfall garden out front. It also amazes me how over that time, much of the staff has remained the same, although there of course have been many staff changes over the years. Management here seems to run this place well, and in the past few years, their kids have started to manage the place as well. Leaving warm memories aside, this diner is fairly average for Long Island (and there's absolutely nothing wrong with that - we all know that most Long Island diners are reliable and consistent in quality and service). One of my favorite touches at this diner is the chickpea salad that they serve during lunch and dinner. It's small and simple, but it's unique and helps to hold you over while your meal is being prepared. Otherwise, the food here is exactly as you'd expect: satisfying and quick with a wide array of options. Service here is very good, but I would deem it functional rather than friendly. Nobody on the staff is rude, and they certainly operate efficiently, but I wouldn't say that anybody really goes out of their way to provide that extra level of service. In some instances I'll get an upbeat waiter or waitress, but I don't always find that's the case. The other pain point you might find here is parking. The lot is very small and narrow, and there is limited street parking. The turnaround is fast enough that you're more likely to get a spot than not, but during peak times (Sunday brunch, for instance), it can be rather tough to get a space. There are other lots and side streets to park on, though, if you need to find somewhere else to park. Overall, you will neither feel underwhelmed nor amazed by this diner. It simply meets your needs (a solid 3). Service is good. Food is very good. Ambiance and seating is good. So the diner is good! read more

Maybe it's just a bad day but they forgot to bring my coffee that I asked for and then there was no "corned beef" so I chose to accept the pastrami on a Reuben sandwich. Come here from time to time for lunch and dinner! My go to for dinner is the Broiled Seafood combo platter which, to me, is really good. However, the scallops are sometimes way too over cooked and rubbery. On occasion, I'll get 1 or 2 pin bones in the piece of fish which is kind of off-putting to me. Hard to control this when you don't handle the fish personally. I'm assuming they don't pick the pin bones out and the fish is outsourced. If they do handle the fish, then they should be more aware and precise with the pin bones! The shrimp are usually pretty good and butterflied nicely. The stuffed clams are good too. Overall, it's just an O.K. place. Nothing crazy or out of the ordinary. It's just another diner in my opinion. They have a private parking lot, but when full, backing out can be tight. They also have street parking as well. Seating area is adequate and service is oftentimes quick. Staff are friendly and accommodating which is why I'm giving them a 4-star and not a 3-star! read more

Lost a star. Went back on my day off for a quick (or so I thought) breakfast. The waitress was just as slow as humanly possible. Same as my previous visit - waitress shows up as soon as your butt hits the seat, gets coffee and order and then you sit there for a long, long time. I actually looked around, no waitress but the busser was sitting there watching TV so I got her attention and held up my coffee cup - she yells across the place: "more coffee?" I thought everyone knew the international sign of more caffeine but apparently not - Eventually my order came out- why it took so long to make a western omelet is beyond me, but it was good. I stopped by the Williston for lunch while on a customer call. It seems to be one of the better diners in the area. The design of the exterior is eye catching and the inside attractive with lots of of visible marble. I ordered the french onion soup which was EXTREMELY GOOD. I love French Onion. A garlic bread and onion where embedded with in the soup and a thick charred layer of provolone sealed the soup! YUM! I ordered the special which was Lamb stew. It was pretty good. The stew had potatoes, carrots, peas and mutton. The stew was green and kinda resembled pea soup. It was large, hot and filling. read more
