Ok searched near and wide for our vehicle. Finally found one that carguru and other sights rated good deal or fair deal. Soooooo we traveled up to Delaware from Virginia Beach to buy a car. And by the way wanted to do it in one day. Left Va beach and called the dealer to ask to have all set to go. Most dealers will try to nickel and dime ya. See an earlier review with buying my daughter a car. One star experience. We also were looking at a different dealership. We drove up with our dog. We walked up to the car and the salesman, Glenn, had it opened & ready to go after greeting us. Great customer service! Gave me the key. And me and the wife were off for our test ride. THE DEALERS WATCHED OUR DOG ABBY!!!!!!! The Finance Mgr, Howie, was no pressure as he professionally presented the different options for their warranty packages. Overall a very professional & awesome experience in every way!! Highly recommend!! Final process which takes other dealers, hours, took about 29 minutes and we were off, back to Virginia Beach! First, to make it easier for me he had the car delivered to my home in Magnolia, 35 minutes away and after driving the car for a day, I heard a problem with the front brakes and they picked the car up, replaced brakes and rotors and re-delivered the car to me at my home! If you have any type of work done on your vehicles done here, they stand behind them 100% if the work is initially done by their service, detail or any other depts. Just took the old girl in for service and was pleasantly surprised. My initial feelings and expectations were tentative based on previous reviewers' experiences. My experience was favorable and I'm name dropping just so those responsible for my great experience can be recognized as having done a great job. I called yesterday for an appointment and had a friendly conversation with Connie who gave me all the info I needed regarding their service capabilities and general pricing. She told me by name who I would be working with and scheduled my shuttle appointment. Upon arrival, as indicated service assistant manager (soon to be manager -shameless flattery but she did do a great job) Aggie gave me her card, collected my remaining info, and did a walk around inspection with me. Her manner was great. We discussed my service expectations and I felt much better about the whole thing - aside... I hate taking the car into the shop, it reminds me: A) that I'm less manly than my Dad who taught me everything he knew about fixing my own vehicles, B) that I have trust issues and am depending on someone with contrary interests to fix my vehicle (queue visions of sabotage) C) that I'm poor and about to make the Credit card company very happy. Add to that - I go into any shop assuming they'll want to tack on endless services at exorbitant prices and use the fear of breakdown to either take my money or feel terrified that my car is going to explode. Dealerships/Service Centers/Mechanics give me the same gnawing anxiety of a blood bank. - end aside.. I'm happy to say that my concerns were assuaged. Read on... Got home via the door to door service shuttle (thanks Harvey great job). Aggie called me up with an itemized list of the requested repairs, necessary repairs, and recommended fixes with prices. The prices for oil change and air filter replacement were very reasonable. I'm not familiar enough with standard pricing of the other services to speak to the price fairness. That said I did groan at the all-in totals (I always do) and then limited everything to the requested service. I was retrieved promptly after a heads up call by Harvey, went through my service check with Aggie (the documentation they provide was as fantastic as the service they provided), and paid the lady. They proactively identified and fixed a recall item which was awesome. All in all this appears to be a good company taking great strides to mend its tarnished online reputation and I'm happy I was a part of it. Had my 2007 Cadillac CTS in the shop for about a week. Was told the wrong part was ordered. But when the correct part arrived, the car was fixed the very next day. So far so good. My complaint : What ever happened to a courtesy car wash. I spent over $2300.00 on my repair and I couldn't get that !!!! I also had about $15 - 20 in quarters in the console that somehow disappeared. Now I know you're not responsible for items left in vehicles, but in this day and age ?? Come on now !! I went to look at a car and had the pleasure of working with Rich Meinhold throughout the purchase process. He was courteous, not at all pushy and got my wife and I an outstanding deal on a used car. Once we had purchased the car, the front control arm bushings started making noise and after speaking with Rick, the dealer honored their 30 day 100% powertrain warranty and replaced both control arms without any pushback. I had an absolute terrible interaction with "Susan" who identified herself as the Service Manager today. I responded to a recall notice from GM 6 weeks ago by visiting this Dealer. I meet with an employee who reviewed the recall notice and scheduled my service appointment for 5/07/21. I arrived for the appointment early and waited in the customer area apx. 1hr. "Susan" rudely informed me that my car wasn't covered under this recall. I asked her if we could review the notice I received from GM along with the dealer employee who scheduled the appointment. Her TERRIBLE ATTITUDE exploded from 0-60 within minutes because I had the audacity to question her judgment and interpretation of the recall letter. After having invited me into the service bay area she threatened to call the Police and have me trespassed. She stated I wouldn't get my car back until I paid a service and oil change fee. Imagine, the Dealers representative holding my car hostage after scheduling my recall service. She insisted the recall didn't include my car despite the fact that I received the recall notice with my cars VIN number stating it was covered, directing me to visit the nearest Chevy dealership. Eventually this matter was resolved by requesting the intervention of the General Manager; Isaic, who apologized for her performance, and had my car released. This is a perfect example of just one poor performance by an employee interacting with a customer can ruin a business relationship. I'll never step foot in, or recommend that dealership due to "Susan's" performance. read more

I have taken my Corvette to this dealership for two 5 year service intervals spending a good deal of $$$. The last time was full of oddities as I was greeted with "you need a reservation for the shuttle." Funny thing is, I did make one but didn't let that bother me cause they fit me in. Got my baby back with no feedback on the checklist of items like brake wear, tire wear, tire pressure and other things that usually get at least checked off so the owner knows they were looked at. This time I had to ask for feedback. I don't think I should have to ask for this and doubt if I will go back here anymore. Too bad cause they were close to where I live and have a clean dealership. read more

My letter October 14, 2016 William Willis Willis Chevrolet 2707 South Dupont Blvd Smyrna, DE 19977 Mr. Willis, I am writing this letter to you to let you know how disappointed I am in not only in service that I have received from your dealership but also the manner to which I was treated. After speaking with Whitney, who was very helpful in listening to my concern, she led me to believe that you manager, Isaac Willis was going to work with me to help resolve the problem. Instead, he treated me with contempt and as if I were bothering him with a "trivial" request and couldn't listen to a word I was saying nor did he appear to even care. I would like to take a moment to go through my dilemma, which Mr. Willis, could not even bother to hear. I feel like I have been totally taken advantage of and charged for services and damages to my vehicle that are not of my doing but were actually caused by a mistake that happened while my car was in the care of your service department. Initially, in 2011, I brought my vehicle in for an oil change. When I left the service department after my oil change, my vehicle "died" and I had to have it towed back to Willis Chevrolet. After inspection, I found out that the oil filter was not installed properly. Ever since then, I have had problems with my vehicle. Then in 2013, while my vehicle was still under warranty, the timing chain had to be replaced. This also happened again in 2015. This time when it was replaced there were several "loose" wires left unconnected in my vehicle which caused my wires to catch on fire and locked by steering while I was driving with children in my car. I reached out and it was agreed that due to the faulty installation and the problems caused after, that Willis would incur this charge themselves and I was informed that the employee that did the work on my vehicle was terminated. Well, now here are again 2 years later and I'm finding myself needing the timing chain replaced again. I don't know much about vehicle work, but I know that a timing chain should last at least 100k miles. I put no where near that many miles on my vehicle in a 2 year period. I feel that my concerns have been dismissed and there is still no resolve in how to fix the problem that I believe was caused by my having received faulty service from your service department. I believe that the lack of effort on your part to resolve an issue caused by your service department and your lack of concern for customers who count on you for reliable service is deplorable. Your dealership and the way you handle complaints is irreparable and I will let anyone who will listen know just how your dealership operates and handles complaints and concerns. During my conversation with Mr. Willis, he let me know that the manufacturer was willing to pay the difference after I pay the first $700.00. That is all he kept repeating. I feel that there truly is a problem that was caused by faulty service from my oil change in 2011 that caused unknown damage to my engine and the poor workmanship from the service department on the repair and replacement of the timing chain in 2015 which caused my engine to catch fire and my steering wheel to seize, and rather than admit fault and take care of the problem, you would rather see a single mom of two children and takes care of her disabled mother in a fixed income pay for a mistake that is through no doing of my own. I would like you to review what has happened to my vehicle. It is ruined and I basically need to replace it, which not likely since I simply cannot afford a car payment. I would like to see some resolve in this matter and I would like to know that when a woman walks into your service department with a concern they are not going to be dismissed like they are nothing and do not know what they are talking about.
