Paid $15 dollars for a burger and fries and when it got home it was all smushed together. The meat was falling off the bun. It was just gross and thrown together in the messiest way. 100% not worth the money. read more

2nd time here. First time had a burger and it was great. Today had the catfish plate and it was good. Size on both meals is huge. It is a walk up shack or drive thru only. I ate in my car both times. Friendly service and good menu. I highly recommend. read more

Amazing. Great sandwiches, large and extremely well priced. No complaints here! I had the Vegas joyride. read more

This guy is tops! He responds to your questions on his Facebook page, and his food is top quality.

Enjoyed each meal I have are from this place. Love the fish sandwiches and recently had the fried chicken. Tasty I must say.

The food sucks, don't eat there. I mean can't do better than voice our unbiased opinion about the food. Absolutely the food is terrible.

I love Willie's burgers. They have the best burgers in town! They are nice people and they treat you with kindness and respect. I was nervous going back because my burger was plain and wasn't what I asked for. They quickly changed it and were super nice about it. They are so kind I appreciate their help and quality service. read more

This was the best place to eat for hundreds of miles. They for sure had the best fresh water fish sandwich you could buy in all the south east. Well now they took it off the menu. They also had a really good Reuben sandwich and they also took that off the menu. There is no reason to go back here and it breaks my heart. It is for sure the saddest thing to happen in the Chattanooga and surrounding areas for years. read more

This place is a shack, just like the name says. The people who work here are pretty nice. I had to use the bathroom and they let me in the shack to use it. He said we're all family. I had their cuban sandwich. They have two sizes, regular and large. Do not get the large size unless you have 3 or more people with you. These sandwiches are big. I could not finish a regular one myself. And if you get fries with this, you'll have enough food for days. Even their drinks come in "Big Gulp" sizes. I guess everything is bigger in Dalton. They have all sorts of stuff in the cuban. They put pulled pork, ham, cheese, and other stuff I can't remember. How was it? The bread was toasted fine. The pulled pork was dry. But I liked my sandwich overall. I guess this is the best place in Dalton for Cuban sandwiches. Maybe it's the only place. read more

As someone who has worked in the restaurant industry for many years, I never complain and try to understand that they might have something keeping them from operating at peak conditions. I do not have the time or energy to go over the amount of problems this place has, but in short. Over priced, underqualified employees, and you can tell they don't give a shit about your food. I don't wont anything free and I'm never going back. I would just hate to see somebody spending that much money only to be served a fat mans bag of grease with very little thought behind it. Just go to 5 Guy's ffs read more

WIllies portions are always abundant. The food is fresh and the service is friendly.

BBQ will blow you away. This main little shack has been a standard for quality. Although the menu items will change, they give you more for your money. The BBQ is the best in town with two sizes, regular and jumbo. I dare you to eat a jumbo BBQ, Fries and a 20 oz sweet tea and still breath. They are HUGE. Although it is a drive through, they do have a few tables outside. Unbuckle your belt and go for the best of the best. Great subs, Burgers and BBQ. Take this challenge from me. Put down a five and get a reg BBQ with Slaw and Memphis Red sauce and try it. You will be glad you did. If you don't, get on Yelp and let me know. read more

I love this place! It's a hole In the wall with a couple of picnic tables outside, but if you want big sandwiches, go nowhere else. The subs are the size of a newborn infant! Willie does a tremendous job! His subs are amazing. The hamburgers are great too! You can't go wrong at Willie's. read more

We were passing through Dalton on the way to Florida and googled the restaurants we had to check out in town. Willies kept popping up and I'm so glad we went! It's a tiny little place with 3 or 4 tables total (all outside) but the food was amazing! My husband got an Elvis burger which was peanut butter, jelly, and bacon, I got the shrimp po boy and we split some fries and a gigantic sweet tea. The burger was delicious and gooey, the fries were seasoned well and crispy and my shrimp po boy was the best one I've ever had with GIGANTIC shrimp and was well worth the 12 bucks it cost. Also, I don't usually like tea but their sweet tea was amazing!!! You have to stop and check this place out! It's award winning for a reason. read more

Wow! All I can say is wow! You have to experience Willie's for yourself, you just do. It's an unassuming little shack. They have lots of stuff going on in the menu. Lots of burgers, fish, shrimp, sandwiches, Po' Boys. I ordered the 6 piece friend shrimp basket. BF ordered the catfish basket. Order came out pretty fast. They work in a tiny space, I mean tiny. I asked if they had a restroom and they directed me to the back of the kitchen. Seriously? Everyone had to move around to accommodate me going through there. The door was so narrow I was afraid I wouldn't get in. LOL. Trust me, the space is tiny and I counted by just a glance, at least 6-7 people in there cranking out the food. The shrimp basket came with 6 big pieces of plump and butterflied shrimp, a ton of really nicely seasoned fries and 2 pieces of Texas Toast. Wow. Carb fest it was. The shrimp was good. I would have like a little more seasoning to the batter, tasted a little bland, but they were still good. The fries were nice crinkle cut fries. I'm sure they don't make them in-house, but like I said, they had a great seasoning on them. An almost spicy seasoned salt taste. Only a few places to sit outside to eat. They do have a drive thru too and seemed to be doing plenty of business. The prices are pretty steep but when you see how much food you get, you understand the prices. Definitely want to go back and try a burger. read more

Not much for the ascetics but big on the taste. You come in hungry but leave full and with some leftovers too. Will be in my rotation of burger joints for sure. read more

Giant portions, cheap prices. Very interesting menu, including giant subs (should've gotten one of those!) Regular catfish sandwich was 3 large filets nicely fried. Giant order of fries. It was good. Now the burger.... I got the Black Widow Burger- mushrooms, provolone, thousand island. It was huge and look great! But the taste... The burger had been precooked, then kept in a weird tasting broth or something and reheated on the grill. It tasted weird. I had the chef cut it in half for me ( because they have no plastic knives) and the burger patty had a weird, unappetizing texture where it was cut. Again, over all, it was weird! I couldn't finish half because of the flavor. Service was fast, portions were huge and the folks were nice. Just quit pre-cooking those burger patties, they're gross! read more

The Mojito Pork Cuban sandwich is EASILY the best thing I've ever eaten in Dalton, GA. And I've eaten a LOT in Dalton, GA. Don't F around- Go eat this beautiful monster. Sure, it's too much food for one person. And yeah, maybe it's $13. But I promise you.... if you decide to eat this behemoth... you'll begin your meal as a child, and finish it as a champion. read more

Great food! Below is a video review of his catfish sandwich. Pure awesomeness. http://youtu.be/FzjsRoImLP4 read more

WORTH THE DETOUR from 75! Biggest downside I noticed is outside only seating = so many flies in the summer. Good, "stick to your ribs" food that you would get in your own backyard BBQ/Fish Fry. The portions are HUGE. One order of fries with your combo can feed 3 people. The table got a grilled cheese, corn dog, shrimp po boy and a fish plate. Everything was as good as you can hope for. Corn dog was light on the batter to hot dog ratio which was fine for me but another said they would have liked more batter, the po boy had good flavor with a half size being what I though the full size would be and the fish had a tasty batter. I wasn't a fan of the lemonade because of a strange aftertaste. I'm generally a fan of fresh squeezed lemonade but not this one. read more

I didn't know what to expect from such a small hole in the wall. I ordered the basic burger and pulled pork sammy. Both were super delicious and I was impressed. The prices on Yelp are not correct though, pretty sure everything was $2 higher at the spot. read more

We stopped while traveling to Florida. The portions are huge ! Split the fries and enjoy a free large sweet tea with your sandwich!

This place is really good. The fish sandwich and the "Miss Piggy" were both really good. :)

WILLIES FAMOUS Burger & Fries - Big Baby - Burgers Near Me - Dalton, Georgia

In my hometown (Columbus OH) this would be some hipstery, trying too hard, unauthentic letdown. Luckily here in Georgia this place is LEGIT. The burgers are the size of frisbees before they cook them. The chicken po' boy that I got was the best chicken sandwich I've ever had. It was 2 huge fried chicken patty's, covered in some secret sauce, hot sauce, pickles, tomatoes and lettuce and it came with a giant bag of fries and huge drink. My friend got a double chili bacon cheeseburger that looked like one big chunk of juicy, cheesy delicious meat and a macaroni salad that was made with a spicy as hell mustard. Very glad we stopped here. Back a year later. They got rid of the incredible chicken po boy, and anything chicken but I got the catfish sandwich Cajun style and it was every bit of amazing. If you're ever anywhere near this place you must go! read more

Great hidden jem! Delicious food that's not a chain. I recommend the Cuban sandwich... tasty and easily feeds two people. When you speak to the employees, you can tell they take pride in making sure the food is good. There's always a line/wait at lunch and you often see cops eating there which is always a good sign that the food is good. read more

If you want a fish dinner or a fried bologna sandwich, this is the place to go! My bologna sandwiche was a half inch thick and I just got the regular one. The jumbo is even bigger. Special sauce, pickles, and slaw. Oh so good, and free fries with every sandwich. Hubby got a fish plate. The pieces of fish were a good size and you get plenty of fries or whatever two sides you want. Come hungry! They do have a walk up counter to order, but seats are limited to 3 tables, otherwise you will have to use the drive through. Well worth it! read more

They have the best cheeseburgers in Dalton hands down. So good and so so filling. I will definitely be coming back. I'm

The food is extremely overpriced and tasteless. The portions are huge but not much of a benefit if the food taste like cardboard.

Come hungry! Willie's Cuban friendliness greets you at the drive thru which makes the whole experience better...knowing the owner is on top of his A game. "Hole in the wall" places are the best and Willie's embraces every feature you'd ever want in that. He doesn't hold back on quality and taste. Size portions are above and beyond...but don't fret about the price...you're buying lunch and dinner (or split it with a friend). Order anything and be ready to be satisfied! read more
