I love ennis and how charming it is. We were excited about trying this new pace out. There's nowhere to enjoy your tastings, the staff wasn't as helpful as you'd expect. The Swag is very over priced. We did enjoy the coffee creamer liquor though. read more

Willie's is an amazing local distillery that produces some incredible spirits. Their bourbon is very smooth and delicious, the coffee liqueur an excellent addition to any cup of joe or for use in White Russians, and the huckleberry liqueur is a wonderfully tasty for sipping or to pour over ice cream. Plus they sell a really cool flask belt buckle! I've found my new local favorite for spirits! read more

Found this great place, met the owner Willie who gave us a tour of the distillery answering all the questions we had about the processes they use for everything they make. Sampled some drinks which were great, don't pass this place up if you are near by, definitely worth the stop. read more

This place is a gem in the rough of Ennis, Montana! A group of us stopped in on our way back from Cliff & Wade Lake during a rainy and cold Saturday. When we got there we were the only people in the place. The bartender was friendly and accommodating, he really took the time to explain everything and answer all our questions about their drinks. We tried a few tasters and got a couple drinks, everything tasted great! By the time we finished our drinks there was a line out the door. The store itself is adorable. The products they sale are great. However I was looking forward to my visit here and was planning to get some travel gifts.., the young lady working didn't even acknowledge me! She was to occupied entertaining the men that stopped by and visited. I waited around giving her the opportunity to acknowledge me... and that didn't happen. Disappointed with the customer service! As the sign inside Willie's Distellery proudly proclaims, "Montana is for Badasses." Never is this more apparent in a small-town local whiskey distillery, where you can do bourbon tastings for $1 each and walk home with a bottle of Montana moonshine. Also on sale are cool stickers (Fish in the Morning, Whiskey in the Afternoon), wooden engraved fishing tackle boxes and a Willie's flask that would barely fit in carry on. Speaking of that be advised the Bozeman Airport TSA wrongfully confiscated one of my bottles on my way home to NYC. The legal limit is 140-150 proof according to the TSA website, don't let them tell you it's only 70 proof. Montana is for badasses. read more

Willie's is a small distillery in downtown Ennis, probably most notably known for their moonshine. It's a cool little distillery with a tasting room alongside of the equipment. You can order mixed drinks with their various offerings or go straight to shopping for take home bottles. One of the cool things they offer is a small barrel kit. You can take your moonshine options and pour them into the small barrels to add an oaked essence to your 'shine. The barrels fit on a shelf at home and have a spigot. Cool gift for the spirit aficionado in your life. You've already been to Shedhorn and the art gallery, and it's too early for dinner, so swing by Willie's and enjoy a drink. read more

This place is awesome, and can't get enough of the huckleberry hot coco. Great for a weekend night to hang out and have a drink, and really great live music. The staff is awesome, and a really cool spot. It is a tasting room, so you can only buy 2 drinks per evening. I purchased a bottle of the Honey Moonshine for Hot Toddy's and a bottle of the Huckleberry Cream Liquor to add to my own hot chocolate. read more

If you find yourself rolling through Ennis, MT, stop at Willie's Distillery. The gentleman behind the bar was not only throughly descriptive and knowledgable, but was also super friendly and humble. I was excited initially to visit this distillery. It quickly turned to disappointment. The girl at the counter hardly acknowledged our existence. She was very preoccupied with the other gentleman in the room. When we were finally able to briefly gain her attention, we asked bout the samples. We were allowed up to 5 each. I wouldn't have been bothered by the thimble sized samples if I wasn't asked to pay $1.00 each for them. Quite a racket. I wasn't too impressed with the samples given. The huckleberry moonshine tasted like koolaide mixed with whole milk, nothing more. The honey moonshine was just o.k.. The prices are pretty high for what they are selling and good luck trying to get the girl at the counter to give any customer service unless you are single. read more
