I'll start by saying this was one of the best tours we have ever been on, and I do not say that…read morelightly. If I could give our guide, Elena, infinity stars, I would. When you book (and you absolutely must), ask for Elena. She was not only an absolute joy to be around, but she is incredibly knowledgeable. She knew exactly where to go and when based on the weather, and she is a true expert in all things Yellowstone: the wildlife, the thermal features, the geology, the history. I could go on and on. My husband and I were celebrating my 50th birthday the day of our tour, and I could not have asked for a more magical day. We were a little nervous since it was shoulder season, but those worries disappeared the moment we got started. From the first stop to the last, it was nothing short of spectacular. We were fortunate to see an incredible amount of wildlife throughout the day, but two moments stood out above the rest. First, watching a herd of bison, including a precious newborn calf, was breathtaking. Then came the showstopper: a bear emerging from hibernation. Elena spotted what looked like a tiny dot on a distant cliffside, sprinted to her vehicle to grab a telescope, and within minutes we were watching that bear in real time. It was one of those moments you genuinely cannot believe you are witnessing. That brings me to another wonderful perk of this tour. In addition to the binoculars provided to each guest, the guides carry high-powered telescopes they set up quickly and effortlessly, so you can truly see the wildlife up close. It makes a world of difference. This is a tour we will never forget, and we are already planning to come back in the summer with our daughter. You better believe we will be requesting Elena. You can tell she loves every single thing about what she does, and she is all heart. Five stars is not enough. One million stars, minimum.

While en route, the driver rear-ended a fully stopped vehicle at highway speed. The impact was significant and airbags deployed. My wife and two children (both under 10) were in the vehicle. EMTs evaluated us on scene and, thankfully, everyone ultimately recovered, though there was bruising and soreness following the collision. What was most disappointing was the lack of follow-up or care from the company. We had to initiate contact ourselves days later and never received any meaningful outreach, apology, or effort to ensure our family was okay or to take ownership of the situation. Accidents can happen, but how a company responds matters. I waited several weeks to post this to give them time to do the right thing.

We booked the Yellowstone Lower Loop tour, and it was the perfect way to experience the park together. Our guide, Ben, was absolutely amazing! He arrived right on time at 7am with a spacious, super comfortable van fully stocked with everything we could possibly need for a great tour; including binoculars, drinks, and snacks. Ben was friendly, engaging, and incredibly knowledgeable. He kept the kids interested and made sure the entire group was enjoying themselves throughout the day. He was very accommodating to our interests, always asking if we wanted to stop when wildlife was spotted or if we wanted to take more time at certain locations. His flexibility made the whole day feel relaxed and tailored to us. Lunch was at Old Faithful, and it was a delicious treat; sandwiches, chips, fruit, and the best homemade chocolate chip cookie. Everything was provided and thoughtfully prepared. This was such a memorable and well-organized experience. I will absolutely be booking with Yellowstone Excursions again, whether it's to explore another area or when more friends and family come to visit us in Bozeman.

The staff was nice but not very knowledgeable about any history of the museum itself. We were there for a walking tour. There was no encouragement to explore the museum. I think they have volunteers that create walking tours. Local historians that conduct research and create the tour. The tour host told us stuff that contradicted what the museum had on display in pictures & plaques, and even what the city had on plaques I had noticed walking around earlier. Part of it could be that we have taken walking history tours... Similar themes of the dark history of an area, in Savannah, Boston, London... So we have been on good tours. With great story telling that you didn't even care how true it was. This host was mostly quoting research and offering her judgement & opinions. Little confusing and contradictory at times. I stopped asking questions because I didn't want to steal away any one else experience. And once I lowered my expectation, I enjoyed the totality of the experience... Beautiful quaint town, great to walk around with some preservation starting in earnest. Not sure if the museum pays the tour host or if she was just a volunteer. The museum tend to elevate the women in their slim options the for a livelihood, the tour guide seems to cast judgement on the poor women of Bozeman, not the industrialists that made them sex slaves to the growing town, and the necessity to survive in a new city at the start of the industrial age. The cost of the tour was a good value, and was worth every opinion though because would know none of it otherwise. And of all the tours available, this was the best selection I wish that Bozeman historical created a plaque or other marker for what once stood on the ground there

I recently took one of their walking tours which covered the local park area and one of the historic residential districts. Beth was our guide and she did a wonderful job - it was a great way to spend 2 hours on a lovely late afternoon! Definitely add it to your "to do " list while visiting Bozeman!

She is very passionate and knowledgeable about Yellowstone and the wildlife that live there. She took us to a carcass that allowed us to see Wolves, Coyotes, Grizzly Bears, Pronghorn and more. She explained their interactions between the various animals and provided details beyond what we were observing. She had a scope with a camera that made it easy to really view the animals. She connected with another tour guide to share a lesson on scat, tracks and more. Katelyn would take the time to direct other tourist on where to look. She is exceptional at explaining where to focus to view wildlife with binoculars and cameras. When we asked Katelyn about the best routes to view other areas and must see/do of Yellowstone, she gave us wonderful directions and options. Including which turn offs and hikes that were appropriate for our skill level. We would recommend Katelyn, of Silver Gate Guides and Silver Gate Lodge for your next trip to Yellowstone. In fact we have already done that for several of our friends and family planning trips. Thank you for an Amazing Experience! Deb and Bob Kleinbrook
