This little gem is located downtown Lincolnton,Ga. It's my first visit and definitely want be my last. My choice was the shrimp basket with sweet potato fries that came out fresh and piping hot! The shrimp were so big I couldn't eat them all. My friends and I each enjoyed our choices with one exception the menu states the nachos come with queso,but ours did not. Food was great, a little slow but good. Service was good, got there around five on Saturday and was seated right away. They had a young lady "singing" in the dining room and it was so loud we could hardly hear the waitress. Thought that was a little much for such a small space especially since she wasn't very good. Should have been outside on patio. Will check next time to make sure entertainment is outside. read more

This place came highly recommended. Coming from out of state, I do not recommend it. The bartenders outside, absolutely amazing. Our server and her manager, wooooo! Where should I start? Our server had an attitude with our party of 20 as soon as I ordered my beer. Ordered medium rare prime rib. Got well done prime rib. Sent it back, got blue prime rib. Server didn't care, and the "manager" was the most unprofessional woman I have ever met. She told me she checked my steak before it came out. I had 4 people confirm the meat was well done. Then she said when I sent it back, They under cooked it so they could put it back on if need be. They put my uncooked steak in a to go container and the manager came over being argumentative, and asked us to leave. Ok, bye. They put my sister on my tab. Wasn't aware, then proceeded to call the police because after I was asked to leave, I left. I literally just wanted my food or for them to comp it because everyone in our party already ate at that point. This is 2 times my prime rib wasn't cooked correctly, but ok. Please don't subject yourself to this terrible establishment. You could literally not pay me to go back there. I've never experienced such a trashy environment in my life. The place was nicely done, clean and our server was doing a great job juggling all her tables during lunch. I wanted to try several things on the menu so we decided to get a variety and share. The fried green tomatoes were on point & nicely done with the grits the fried mushrooms were good but nothing special. The bruschetta could've been done on the right kind of bread for the price. We had the salad sampler (name?) chicken, macaroni and shrimp salads for lunch. Personally I didn't try the macaroni due to the way it looked but the others tried it and were not impressed. Good service outside, a bit slow as the server was overloaded with tables. She made sure our drinks were always full. The restaurant allowed us to bring our dog to sit outside and the server even brought her water too. All the food was great. The Shrimp Crepes were a hot item as they ran out while we were here. I cannot recommend this restaurant at all. Our waitress was very kind and attentive. The manager wouldn't let our service dog in. We showed the manager the ADA law in the state of Georgia and she said it doesn't matter. The owner said no service dogs allowed. So we had to split up our family indoor/outdoor. Really bad experience. Nothing worse than when a business doesn't know the law, follow the law, just arbitrarily makes up their own. If you're a vet like me who has ptsd, think twice about going here. read more

We arrived at 6:00 and did not have a long wait (a party of 8). The waitstaff was personable. Our drinks were served promptly. We placed our orders quickly since we had been anticipating the meal. The food was EXCELLENT! Shrimp crepes, grilled shrimp, ahi tuna, fried green tomatoes, grilled salmon. The problem was the timing. Our orders were taken but there were multiple tables around us, seated after us and out the door before we got the first food to our table. Once the plates were served, one order had been mixed up. Grilled shrimp rather than the grilled salmon ordered. Apologies were made and we were assured the salmon would be right out. The salmon did not arrive until after the other diners were completely finished! The salmon was served at 8:05, two hours after we had arrived. Then then poor wait person was left to make excuses. We could understand the initial wait since they are not yet fully staffed. But for the extreme wait not even a complimentary meal was offered. The manager/owner, "Miss Penny", did not even come from the kitchen to check on her diners. The customer service was appalling. So unfortunate for such a good food. We called and ask for sitting for 10 outside, sure no problem, arrived only to find out they would not sit us outside, waited a hour for food watching tables around us get served, food was awful. Over cooked shrimp, greasy grilled shrimp and overcooked burger and steak.the basket of French fries were the bottom of the bag and greasy. Seen the cook outside smoking while people were waiting for food, one can only hope he washed his hands. Went to Williemacs for the first time last night. There were 5 people in my party. Our server, Colleen, was amazing. The food was delicious and came out in good time, considering the place was packed. We all had drinks from the bar which were delicious, especially the Naughty Georgia Peach. The entire staff was super friendly. The atmosphere is fun and enjoyable. Before we left, we went into the bar to order a drink. Usually, we are pretty frequent visitors of the rest at aunt. Never had a problem and even made relations with the staff and planned a very large party to be brought in. However, the past two trips have been EXTREMELY below our expectations. The first time we had an issue, we had called ahead with a reservation for 10 guests to be included but we only had 4 of us at the restaurant right then. They refused to seat us because we didn't have 1/2 of our party. A single person was missing, causing us to not be seated. Now, this most recent trip is the one that has decided they will not get our service again. We received our order and two of the steaks were cooked wrong. They were both ordered medium rare but came out of the kitchen well. After they were sent back, they brought out an uncooked, blue, cold steak and expected us to eat that. Their excuse being "we didn't cook it much so we could put it back on if you wanted". That steak was sent back as well. Then the manager came out of the restaurant and started arguing with some of our party about how the steaks were perfect. She then told us she had personally cooked them. We were then kicked out of the restaurant and made to leave. The manager refused to take the steak off and threatened to call the cops for theft if it was not payed for. Needless to say, our services will not be welcome back at williemacs again. read more

To say the least I was very disappointed with Williemac's tonight. To have had good service in the past, tonight was a disaster! Our group (12) arrived at 5:30pm and were seated outside. It went down hill from there. It took forever to get our drinks and appetizers not to mention getting our food order. After waiting in the cold because the space heaters were out of gas, we finally got to order. We experinced no service, no checking up on, had to go to the bar to get our own drinks and water. Wrong food orders were brought to our table a couple of times. A little over 2 hrs, our salads showed up, then our meals. To make things worse, the steaks were cooked wrong, fries instead of onoin rings, etc. After paying close to $100 for my wife's and my dinner, I couldn't get out of there fast enough. I don't know what is going on with the resturant but hope to hear that they get things straighten out. read more
