Absolutely amazing Molcajete!!! It was served in a traditional bowl and was so delicious! If you have never had it you should definitely try it. My husband enjoyed his burritos but I think I won best dinner pick for the night. The cheese dip was really good also. So many are runny but theirs was nice and thick. I had the Mexicana quesadilla. It was delicious and the beans were homemade. Finished up with a Mexican cheesecake. Heaven on a plate.

Mexican food, def not!! Came here looking for some good Mexican food and was very disappointed. The food tasted like something you would get from the frozen section at Walmart. I loved this place when it first opened. The tacos were so good--they were large and filled with so much meat! After some time they became the same size as the taco shells you buy in a grocery store, so they also don't have much meat anymore. We haven't been back in some time because of this, but i doubt they've decided to go back to the original sizes/portions. Service was always a little slow too. read more

I know the age of many Mccormick residents is in the 55+ range but our meals were very dull and bland. Having them served on room temp plates turns everything cold after a few minutes. The thick, stale tortilla chips and tasteless salsa was disappointing. They are close and I want to support local businesses, but their meals need to have flavor, spice and heat. Maybe if they offered sauces in different heat ranges (mild, medium and hot in red and green) the flavor issue would improve and possibly boost the number of customers. I love to eat Mexican food, but it has to have flavor and melted cheese. Having the wrong meals delivered to our table didn't help either. If you come here to eat, bring your own hot sauce. After looking at the other reviews, it appears we were not the only customers with the same experience. read more

We were headed to El Sombrero but it was closed so we came here instead. From the front it looked small, but our group of 7 was put in a side room and there were more tables than expected. Our waiter was very nice and accommodating. It didn't take too long to get our food and the quality was better than we expected. I'd say that for most Mexican places we go to the food is fairly similar, but we agreed the quality of the food here was better than most. I went here about a few days ago and had a horrible experience. The waitress was rude and slow. There was hair in my drink and whenever I tried to get her attention, she's outside SMOKING !! When I went it was only about 3 people dining in and it took forever for my food to come. When it did finally come, it was cold ! There was also multiple roaches in the establishment. We are from out of town, but visit McCormick regularly. We decided to try an new place, new for us at least. Wish we had stick with our regular spots. The cheese dip was Luke warm and lumpy. The beef tacos were not edible. Neither of our kids liked the quesadillas. The chips were stale. And it was overpriced. We all left hungry and disappointed.
