They're meat is ALWAYS TENDER to Perfection I would recommend the Brisket and sweet tea They are a Family Business and the feeling of home really shows they make you feel welcome. Cleanliness: 5/5. Place is clean, staff is helpful and friendly. They insured I had everything I needed. No complaints. Food:3/5, I had a half lb brisket sandwich w/ Mac & cheese, and a sweet tea. The brisket is exceptionally dry. Like even the stupid amount of BBQ sauce couldn't hide that. Like dryer than lean brisket usually Is. It was also way more chewy than I've ever had. Mac & Cheese was over cooked and under cheesed, basically turned to mush as soon as ate it. Not really the BBQ plate experience Im used to. BBQ sauce was overly tangy and sweet. Price:2/5. 16.23$ was a bit high. 1.50$ tip and .70 service charge??? Yes 18$+ meal was not worth it. Like i don't want to be insulting but I'm pretty disappointed. Suggestion: don't trim the briskets as much. Be more attentive while cooking the sides, and really do what you can to improve the foods quality to justify the price. This barbecue is as good it as it gets south of San Antonio, trust me. I have been eating Willie B's for over a decade, and it only continues to improve, not only with its service, but the dedication and inventiveness of their menu. Not to mention that the ultra delicious, tangy/spicy barbecue sauce is made in house fresh daily, as well as their spicy take on cream corn (get there for lunch or else they will have run out, always such a bummer). My two favorite things on the menu are definitely the brisket sandwich and the brisket potato with extra sour cream and extra cheese. I can't even describe this without my mouth watering. If you're not exactly feeling barbecue, don't worry, they also serve bomb ass burritos and lean smoked chicken. Me and my dad walked in with empty stomachs and we left stuffed. I enjoyed a delicious double brisket burrito plus a couple of chicken tacos. Such large portions which was just what we needed. Only giving 2 stars because the environment is clean. Bread from sand-which was falling apart, as if old. Onions cutt too big. Ordered a turkey sand-which and was cutt only 3 old hard pieces of turkey meat. Best part of this meal was the canned sprite. Sweet tea very weak, tasted just like water. Will not come again. Yelp steered me wrong on this one. As BBQ joints go this one was definitely below average. A coworker and I came here for lunch. He had a rib plate (with 5 tiny dry looking ribs), 2 sides and some sausage (5-6 slivers). I had the 2 beef tacos and a side order of mashed potatoes. Each of us also had an iced tea. None of the food was anything to write home about. The ribs were dry, the fajita meat was greyish looking and below average, the side orders also weren't that interesting. Neither one of us finished the food since it just wasn't very appetizing. $36 for the food we ate would have been a lot in a good BBQ joint, but for this slop it was an outrage. What really took the cake was that when we questioned the price, since we thought there must have been a mistake, the cashier lectured us on the high cost of meat these days. Really that's the excuse? In that case I suggest that you get a new meat supplier the stuff they are selling you seems to be both over priced and bad quality. read more

I was so mad and disappointed, I woke up today determined to make up for yesterday's BBQ nightmare. Huge difference! Night and day. The service was outstanding. The employees were so nice. I ordered half pound brisket by itself, no bread, no sides and it was just amazing. Perfect amount of juicy fat and meat. I had to grab my phone immediately and sing their praises! I had some AC work being done on my vehicle just down the street so I decided to drop in for a bite. I've been here before and to be honest I wasn't impressed then or today for that matter. Now I must tell you that I have eaten at some of Texas' most prestigious BBQ joints such as Smitty's, Blacks Barbecue and Kreuz Market all in Lockhart, Texas. In addition The City Market in Luling, Texas is another bbq restaurant that I was seriously impressed with their level of BBQ. As far as Willie B's, the Potato salad was decent and what looked to be corn in a cream sauce was tasty. The brisket although soft and tender lacked seasoning and smoke flavor. The pickles and onions along with the bread made the brisket a bit better. Still I have had much better brisket. They provided BBQ sauce on the side as I requested. The sauce initially was too sour and it made me pucker my mouth. The pork ribs on the other hand ... seemed boiled, didn't look seasoned and lacked smoke flavor. I was hungry and did finish my plate but for the amount I paid I would expect good quality BBQ. If your hungry, drop by. If you want good bbq .... We'll you decide. read more

I only give it 4 stars because the dine in area was pretty warm. It's over 100 degrees outside so you would like to enjoy your meal in a nice cool place. The staff was very courteous and polite. The food is really good and the prices are very reasonable for the amount serves. My suggestion order To Go unless you don't mind it being warm in the dinning area. Like Willie B's #1 in Alamo, the #2 restaurant in Edinburg is outstanding !! One of our favorite menu items is the loaded baked potato. This thing is about half the size of a football, done to perfection and loaded with meat and corn. If you read that and say "eww" then keep your sissy butt out of Willie B's please. Was in Edinburg and Yelp'd this place . Brisket slightly dry but flavorful, ribs were very good . For sides I had the beans they were super tasty and the Mac and cheese which was good. I would eat here again . Not sure why but they charge my again the next day for my meal. Charged on 11/9 and 11/10. They must have seen this review and reversed one of the charges. read more
