The place is beautiful. But deceiving. worst service. Worst food and you will pay for something you will not get.

I am completely blown away by my accommodations. I selected the usual room, which is 500 ft.² and…read moreincludes so many details to make my stay memorable. There is a vanity, a little pillow on my bed with two glasses and a bottle of Bailey's Irish cream. There is an upscale Nespresso machine complete with pods and creamers. A desk, a sofa and seating area. Robes and slippers... Everything to make this a luxury stay. There's even an emergency lantern in the closet in case the power goes out as well as an umbrella. There's a soaking tub and a shower and so many amenities. Room service comes not once, but twice a day. They open the blinds, refill amenities and put away things to tidy the room. In the evening, they put away the decorative pillows from the bed, fill the ice bucket and leave it out with a tray with new bottles of Saratoga water. They leave a small bottle of Baileys on a little pillow with two small glasses. They also close the drapes. I am so spoiled. I love this place!

The Inn has tremendous historical charm, but the guest experience would benefit greatly from…read moreupgraded amenities and attention to detail. The in-room customer amenities are especially disappointing. The colors and quality feel dated, and the toothbrushes are extremely poor--bristles came loose while brushing, which raises both quality and hygiene concerns. The bathrobes were rough, overly dried, and clearly shrunken, making them uncomfortable to use. The restaurant also misses the mark. Several dishes felt inexpensive in both ingredients and execution: over-salted hams, cheap syrups, and overall weak preparation. The service team is lovely--and trying--but the food simply isn't at the level expected for this price point. Concierge and front desk interactions were fine, but at this rate, I expect a more thoughtful, elevated experience across the board. With some investment in better amenities, higher-quality guest products, and improved culinary standards, this could be a truly special stay. My room was large, comfortable, and in a great location with easy walking access to town. I especially enjoyed dinner at Fat Canary--excellent food and service.

Erica very graciously satisfied my request (for medical reasons) to be reassigned to a room closer to the center of all the meetings. Great, caring service -- and much appreciated. ALSO Robert (who has worked there 40 years!) was an excellent porter who carried lifted all my bags, trollied them to the room and placed them where they would be comfortably accesible to me. These two people made a big difference in my conference experience.

The property is great with nice food and beverage options. We dined at both onsite restaurants-- Sweet Tea & Barley for dinner, as well as Traditions for breakfast and enjoyed both. We stayed in the Tyler Guesthouse which I was told was more modern. Our room was nice, clean, and had an outdoor patio with seating. The staff was kind, shouts out to Phoebe who checked me in, was quite knowledgeable, and gave a great rundown of all of the offerings on site as well as details on the included free tickets to visit Colonial Williamsburg (the living museum). We took full advantage of everything. All in all, a great stay and I'd absolutely revisit the property. Cheers!

They have a huge event space that you can rent out for anything, and it faces out onto the water which was a gorgeous view. I also did personal training here with Sierra Meacham and for anyone looking for a personal trainer but doesn't know where to start, like I was, I highly HIGHLY recommend reaching out to Sierra even just for a talk. She helped me personal train and helped me understand meal prepping and what to look for in my foods and what I need nutrients-wise for my goal as well as my weight goals! She kept pushing me to my PRs are farther:) She is so understanding and takes every problem I had whether it was with meal-prepping or weight-lifting posture hesitancies and how to overcome. I highly recommend her but definitely reach out and check in with her! She can book up quickly because of how awesome and thorough she is with her clients!! She can also guide you through the different rooms in Riverview such as the redlight therapy and saunas and what not and the importance of them on the body physically and mentally. They also have networking nights and people with different small businesses or want to get out there with the public and socialize I highly recommend checking in when the next night is and go... it's a lot of fun 100/10 recommend!! #personaltraining #mealprep #she'llsetyoustraight! #networking
