Excellent location, amazing experience, right next to Colonial Williamsburg & Merchant Square. Can almost imagine what it might have been like to live in the colonial village, especially if you go for early morning/late evening strolls through the village when there are not many other tourists around. Make sure to sign up for the ghost tour! The breakfast buffet in the hotel restaurant is worth the treat. Cozy!

I haven't stayed in the Lodge, so I can't speak to the room quality, but I have visited twice recently for two different events. The first was Day 2 of the inaugural Virginia Cat Festival, which took place in their downstairs conference and event rooms. The venue was great and served its purpose well. I appreciated that the bathrooms were clean and orderly too in addition to the general cleanliness of the hotel. I felt very welcomed. I also visited last month for their Gingerbread House unveiling. It was pretty cool though not a huge wow factor. It'd be cute for kids, as Santa and Mrs. Claus were on-site too. The grounds at the Lodge are great, and my mom purchased some trinkets at their gift shop. The location can't be beat. It's right near Duke of Gloucester/the heart of Colonial Williamsburg. Parking across the street does have an associated fee but you can pay on a phone app.

This could be a great property. It is closer to a 2 or 3 star hotel. The staff was very friendly and our housekeepers were excellent. The location is fabulous.... It's just NOT a high end hotel at all. We had an upgraded room and, although very clean, it was not luxury, deluxe or anywhere near $600 a night. Pretty simple to replace worn items for guests......

Great hotel and location right in the heart of Williamsburg, within walking distance from the famous Merchants Square. This hotel had several different buildings, each with their own exterior courtyard and interior sitting areas. The beds were comfortable, noise level minimal, and room temperature nice and cool. I loved the feeling of stepping back in time into idyllic and charming Williamsburg which made my family's entire stay relaxing and pleasant. One complaint I have with the hotel is their EV charging amenity. They advertised themselves as having complementary EV charging, but really there was only 1 functional EV charger across the street from the main lodge. There are other "EV charging spots" in the garage but these spots only had electrical outlets for you to plug your own charger in. This to me wasn't really "EV charging," and the low charging speed from the outlets meant you'd have to park and charge continuously for a full day or 2 for you to fully charge your car. Still, this was a fantastic hotel stay and my family and I really enjoyed it. We look forward to coming back again in the near future!

We stayed at this historical house as part of the Williamsburg Inn collection. We came with another couple and had ample space.

Ask the Community - Williamsburg Lodge, Autograph Collection

Thinking of staying here for one night in February and have a couple of questions: is the indoor pool in the lodge or do you have to walk outdoors to get there? Also, are kids allowed in the indoor pool?

The conference side of the lodge was good, aside from there being many conferences at the same time.

River Course at Kingsmill…read more On a gorgeous autumn day, we enjoyed a round of golf at the course. Upon arrival, the bag drop area was available to leave our bags. The staff members helped us get our bags secured onto the golf carts. There is a small cooler on the golf cart. After checking in at the pro shop, we found the scorecards by the door. The pro shop had a great selection of golf goodies and I was eager to purchase some items with the Kingsmill logo. We had a wonderful time playing golf at the club during our recent visit. We played the River Course, which is known to host some of the most prestigious PGA and LPGA tournaments. The course is in excellent shape, with beautifully maintained greens and various obstacles that made our game more fun and challenging. Although the James River views are not visible until the last three holes, it was still an excellent way to wrap up our 18-hole round. Two restrooms are located along the course, and the access code is provided at the first hole. Don't forget to jot it down on your scorecard or take a quick snap in case the doors are locked. A beverage cart drove through a couple times to serve refreshing drinks throughout the course to keep us hydrated. A tip: for the par 3's, go left! The staff at the club was exceptionally friendly and supportive, making our experience even more enjoyable. We're already looking forward to our next visit to the town and playing golf at the club again.

The service and beauty of the location were absolute highlights! Although our reception was indoors, they still covered the outdoor patio tables. The bathrooms are large and luxurious, drinks well made, and space well used. The servers and chefs accommodated mine and my husband's diary allergy and Jennifer Walton cleared out the reception room for us to quietly eat hors d'oevers for 4 minutes. As for my sister and brother's gluten allergy, they again came through, and the four of us had our respective dairy and gluten free entrees. We dropped off our reception items with Jennifer's staff on Friday morning and everything was beautifully displayed for the event the following day. Our cocktail hour and reception was from 4-9pm and although our last song played at 8:55, the site graciously allowed us to make our way to the door while several more songs were played. Again, the beauty of the location cannot be beat, and the architecture does a lovely job of complimenting the site. It was easy for out of town guests to find and park. We were extremely pleased and highly recommend them.
