I am bewildered and disappointed. All my previous experiences with Auto Haus have left me feeling…read moreconfident about their work. Auto Haus failed my annual inspection, citing tires that had worn to 1.32. I get my tires from another company in town and so I ordered two new ones. That company, upon learning the reason for my new tires, measured my existing tires. Turns out my tires measured well above FOUR and did not need to be replaced in order to pass inspection. Needless to say I had my car reinspected with them, with the existing tires. Auto Haus response: "How we do it here is we check all around the tire tread and take the lowest value we find. Tire tread depth will always vary on the tire so to be safe we always take the lowest value. Some shops may do it differently but that is just how we prefer to do it to make sure the tire never reaches to where it may wear to the point of failure on one part and not another." So if you have your car inspected at Auto Haus, know that they do not follow state inspection standards, they follow their own. Instead of offering servicing recommendations, they may use their own standards to fail your car.

Now I am stuck...... oil stick checked - no oil visible. Off to get a quart of oil..... checked underneath. Saw oil dripping from oil filter, one drop every 5 seconds........ not a happy camper...... At an auto repair garage in MD now on Monday, June 24, and the mechanic just talked to me. The last person to install the filter, did not properly align the oil filter and it was not seated- seal correctly. Go figure.... Lost 3 quarts of engine oil in 3 days. Oil covered the underbody, and I have pictures to prove the lack of attention of detail by the Williamsburg mechanic that works here.. Now my second oil change is complete and another 85$. Glad it was not an engine fire or blown engine. GREAT JOB GOODYEAR!!!!!!!! I did submit a claim and was pleasantly surprised with a full refund ( credit) on my second oil change out of state..... But I had to drive 70 mins round trip to visit the store manager for the 86$ credit .

They are willing to fix and address anything that was agreed upon at the time of sale but not after their 3 day window. I would have given zero stars if it would let me. Also, do your own financing on used cars. I saved a little over 1% on my financing by using my own bank and handeling the financing myself. His approach and answers to my questions have been demeaning, unsatisfactory, and some of them, wrong after I've done more research on my own. In addition, I was told over the phone that there would not be a fee for a service for my car since it was new. To my surprise, when I got there, I was charged for the service, and Rob told me "I don't know who you spoke with." I would have gotten the inspection done at my local mechanic if their associate provided accurate information. Both of these times I left feeling disheartened. Because of these multiple negative experiences, I don't recommend this dealership.

I recently relocated to Williamsburg and in the midst of packing up and selling my home, I lost sight of my car inspection. It was already over due. I called American Pride and they were able to get me in the same day and even helped me get back and forth to my hotel from drop off to pick up. I am a widow and often get hit up for 'added repairs and services'...(I think being a woman dealing with car things, makes me a target). Given some of the other reviews here, I was a little worried that would be the case. They couldn't have been more kind, were courteous and no added 'recommended services or repairs' were pushed onto me. Just a passed state inspection and ready to go. Thank you American Pride. I wanted others to know, that I DID have good experience and didn't get the usual hit up for add ons.

I called another garage for a second opinion and they quoted me less than half of what American Pride quoted. When I called American Pride to see if they would price match they said no and then wanted to charge a diagnostic fee before they would release my car to me! Of course I made a big stink and the manager made me feel they were doing me a huge favor by waiving the fee this "one time". Suffice it to say I never went to them again.

I've had several repairs done to my 2017 Silverado which have been not repaired correctly or charged for repairs which weren't needed in the first place. I had a front and rear diff service completed and less than an hour from picking my truck up the rear diff was leaking. I was advised by a manger that it was residual oil, only for him to change his tune and apologies that the rear diff was leaking and had to be re-sealed again. Mind you they had the truck for over 7 hours on a Friday and then I had to come back the next day for it to be fixed. I then came back for a standard oil change which went fine, and I was told I need my front brakes replaced soon. I had my front pads and rotors replaced; both lower control arms and my left front wheel bearing. I asked for my old parts back only to find my front pads to be close to 55% worn. I brought this up to manager Rio once again about feeling deceived on needing a brake repair that wasn't warranted. These repairs were completed back in Oct of 2025 Since then I've brought my truck back several times for a clunk noise that wasn't present after the front lower control arms were replaced. I was lied to several times that the repair was fixed only to drive the truck literally out of the parking lot to have it make the same clunk noise. In Jan the dealership had my truck for one day less then a month. When I came to pick my truck up I found the windshield had a huge crack through the entire windshield. I vented my frustration only to be told by another manager James Bridge that I was a liar and that the damage was present when I dropped off my truck. I told him to please check the cameras, he then stated they don't have any. He then proceeded to give me a walk around paper stating the damage was there...but guess what where my signature it wasn't there and it wasn't a drop off because they gave me a loaner.... I can only assume the dealership was attempting to pull another fast one. I ended up speaking with the GM who told me they were going to take care of the windshield. I then brought my truck my again for the windshield and suspension clunk noise for its 5th (repair/fix) while I was there other customer was venting how she bought a certified used car which was more like a lemon rattled with issues for being a certified used car that she had owned it for less than 2 weeks. During my visits I never once used fowl language or yelled. I did vent my concerns and frustrations to the service department as one would with these concerns Only to have the manager James Bridge very sternly and angerly tell me once the windshield was replaced I was no longer welcome to the dealership and they were not going to look into my cluck issue since there isn't a safety concern with it, even after James even helped my advisor write up the concern, the adviser was completely apologetic at the way he handled the situation and had no clue where that came from. If you take your vehicle here be prepared to be gas lit about repairs that are not needed, damage to your vehicle that wasn't there and if you vent your frustration you'll be asked not to come back. If you need an oil change and a tire rotation sure but for major issues stay away.

The rear window broke that morning (i.e., would not roll down or up) and we thought we could make it home but then it started to rain. We found the Ford dealership after a trip to Pierce's BBQ, and asked for assistance from the first gentleman we saw, Kenny Tharpe. Kenny arranged for a mechanic to take a look at the door. The mechanic, also named Kenny, pulled apart the door immediately and diagnosed a broken regulator. Unfortunately, a replacement part was not in stock, so Kenny got the door put back together, the window up and cleverly wedged shut so we wouldn't be rained on during our trip home. When I went and picked up my vehicle, they said "If we can't duplicate it, we can't fix it. It's probably talk radio if you listen that allot, or it could be Google play, they don't sound the same as radio" When I ask Dave Lewellen if he checked the recall, he replied "No there's no fix for it yet. When you come back for your oil change we'll look then." My husband dropped my car off after that, for the break recall, and ask them to check the seat. Went to pick up my vehicle and they didn't have it on the paperwork to look at my seat. My husband told me this. I reached out to Dave Lawson (GM) the first part of November regarding my frustration with service. He had me bring my Expedition in and he heard my speakers, and I was telling him my vehicle has Gremlins. He replied it does not have Gremlins. I beg to differ. At that point they ordered seat covers and promised to look into my Gremlins. The only time I heard from them over the last nearly 2 months was when I would reach out, via email. I heard 2.5 weeks ago, they were looking into a loaner for me and ask me if a F150 would be OK. I replied 'it would be fine.' Radio silence. My last email to Mr Lawson, was letting him know of my frustration with this whole process and told him I wanted to sell my vehicle back to them, as I'm done. Radio silence. Bear in mind, over the last couple of years, we've purchased 4 vehicles from them, upwards of $250,000.00 spent with these people. The sales department is amazing, the service department smells like a full porta potty on a hot Summer day. I don't understand "If we can't duplicate it, we can't fix it." If I go to my doctor and explain something that is going on with me she ask questions and does her best to figure out what it maybe, however since she's been a doctor for ao long, she pretty much knows. Isn't a auto mechanic a doctor for automobiles? If, they're worth their weight in salt. You explain and they have the answer, nope not with these people. I have to wonder if they hope, I'll shut up and go away, or if they treat all women like they're clueless.
