I was in the market for a new Honda, and knew the exact car/spec I was looking for. I spoke with three other dealerships prior to calling Williamsburg. Priority Honda in Chesapeake quoted $2500 over sticker. Hall Honda quoted $5000 over sticker. Casey Honda didn't return multiple calls. Williamsburg quoted me sticker price with no additional gotcha costs within minutes. Kylie followed up with an itemized quote texted to me. BTW, their processing fee is $300 less than the dealers mentioned earlier. Kylie had the car clean and all paperwork in order when I arrived. I delayed the process by adding a trade to the deal. This only added 15 minutes. I didn't initially intend to trade a vehicle. I brought it to test the waters. Williamsburg offered me the top end of Kelly Blue Book. I took the offer. I will absolutely give Honda Williamsburg first swing at the pitch for my next car purchase despite the hour drive from my house.

The text message sent to my daughter from the salesman at Williamsburg Honda.

I appreciate the fact that new car sales is challenging. The reality of today's car buying environment is that the internet removes many of the pricing veils. There are buying services, such as USAA, which provide straightforward (no haggle) pricing. Consequently, whether a car dealer (such as Williamsburg Honda) makes a sale is largely a function of other factors such as extending the engine/power train warranty and free oil changes. Car dealerships need to keep pace with their competitors in these areas...especially when the car price is equalized among the different car dealerships. That said, if you miss a sale, Williamsburg Honda car salesman, don't follow up with an email accusing me of being "dishonest and sleazy"...as you did in a text to my daughter. That is a surefire way to ensure that we never return to Williamsburg Honda for any reason. Rather, ask yourself (or me) what Williamsburg Honda could have done differently or better. I would have told you that your pricing never entered into my discussions with your competitor. The vehicle price was set by USAA. It was the other items (no cost extended warranty, free oil changes, and state inspections) that Williamsburg Honda didn't offer and couldn't match that made the difference. Of course, customer service counts as well. Ultimately, one salesperson's complete lack of professionalism tarnished whatever reputation Williamsburg Honda might have had with me and my circle of acquaintances. As mentioned, I will never return to Williamsburg Honda. I'll will happily drive to Newport News or Richmond for service and share my experience with Williamsburg Honda with everyone I know.

They are willing to fix and address anything that was agreed upon at the time of sale but not after their 3 day window. Not to mention that it's been almost 2 months and I'm still waiting on my license plates... I would not recommend this dealership to any of my friends or family. I would have given zero stars if it would let me. Also, do your own financing on used cars. I saved a little over 1% on my financing by using my own bank and handeling the financing myself. The dealership got me approved through my own bank with a higher interest rate. The pictures are after the dealerships quality service and detailing of the car. What a joke...

His approach and answers to my questions have been demeaning, unsatisfactory, and some of them, wrong after I've done more research on my own. In addition, I was told over the phone that there would not be a fee for a service for my car since it was new. To my surprise, when I got there, I was charged for the service, and Rob told me "I don't know who you spoke with." I would have gotten the inspection done at my local mechanic if their associate provided accurate information. Both of these times I left feeling disheartened. Because of these multiple negative experiences, I don't recommend this dealership.

The rear window broke that morning (i.e., would not roll down or up) and we thought we could make it home but then it started to rain. We found the Ford dealership after a trip to Pierce's BBQ, and asked for assistance from the first gentleman we saw, Kenny Tharpe. Kenny arranged for a mechanic to take a look at the door. The mechanic, also named Kenny, pulled apart the door immediately and diagnosed a broken regulator. Unfortunately, a replacement part was not in stock, so Kenny got the door put back together, the window up and cleverly wedged shut so we wouldn't be rained on during our trip home. When I went and picked up my vehicle, they said "If we can't duplicate it, we can't fix it. It's probably talk radio if you listen that allot, or it could be Google play, they don't sound the same as radio" When I ask Dave Lewellen if he checked the recall, he replied "No there's no fix for it yet. When you come back for your oil change we'll look then." My husband dropped my car off after that, for the break recall, and ask them to check the seat. Went to pick up my vehicle and they didn't have it on the paperwork to look at my seat. My husband told me this. I reached out to Dave Lawson (GM) the first part of November regarding my frustration with service. He had me bring my Expedition in and he heard my speakers, and I was telling him my vehicle has Gremlins. He replied it does not have Gremlins. I beg to differ. At that point they ordered seat covers and promised to look into my Gremlins. The only time I heard from them over the last nearly 2 months was when I would reach out, via email. I heard 2.5 weeks ago, they were looking into a loaner for me and ask me if a F150 would be OK. I replied 'it would be fine.' Radio silence. My last email to Mr Lawson, was letting him know of my frustration with this whole process and told him I wanted to sell my vehicle back to them, as I'm done. Radio silence. Bear in mind, over the last couple of years, we've purchased 4 vehicles from them, upwards of $250,000.00 spent with these people. The sales department is amazing, the service department smells like a full porta potty on a hot Summer day. I don't understand "If we can't duplicate it, we can't fix it." If I go to my doctor and explain something that is going on with me she ask questions and does her best to figure out what it maybe, however since she's been a doctor for ao long, she pretty much knows. Isn't a auto mechanic a doctor for automobiles? If, they're worth their weight in salt. You explain and they have the answer, nope not with these people. I have to wonder if they hope, I'll shut up and go away, or if they treat all women like they're clueless.
