Her hairstyles change more often then mine, and her nails are always groomed/painted. The staff knows her by name, and are able to make considerate conversation, if only momentarily. They all have a "Can-Do" attitude. Anytime the residents have a question or request, the staff never says no. They find a way to get them what they need in a timely manner. Just some examples of how people go out of the way for my Dad; Chef Steve added some things to the menu that my Dad suggested, Valencia (laundry) goes the extra mile and hangs my Dads things on hangers for him and gets tough stains out of his clothes, the nurses help him with whatever he needs, Rose and Debbie always listen to him and try to implement his suggestions, Barbara and Jan are always helping and making sure he is okay, Mary is making him an "adult bib" ! The service is ridiculously slow in the dining area and far from being delicious. Quality is inconsistent. Food choices are limited with lots of carbs, mostly meat options , very limited fresh green vegetables or fresh fruit. They are very short-staffed. Servers seem burned out. Trelago The Grove is trying to hire more staff. Director is very opened to suggestions and making changes. He seems like he is really trying to improve things and he is hands-on. Newly hired Activities Director is warm, enthusiastic and very helpful. Outside trips are starting to be planned but up until recently, it was very limited. In a senior living facility, I was surprised to see the kitchen has high countertops requiring barstools. I deliver food for Meals on Wheels every Wednesday and never once have they dropped the ball in any way. Every person working in the organization that I have met is caring and compassionate. The attention to food quality blows me away. They strictly follow a protocol that is impressive. The hot and cold food temperature is checked and rechecked before being placed into appropriate travel containers for my use. The containers are cleaned after every use. Sanitation is very important. The entire organizations concern over the well being of those being served is honorable. Everybody on the food delivery route is known and cared for by name. A wellness check is a priority along with a hot and cold meal. This is a great organization and one that asks each volunteer to commit to one year of service. It is a worthy cause and this is an awesome place to be involved with.

The facility was wonderful but he missed the Jewish culture he was used to -having lived in the Bronx, Westchester County NY and Boynton Beach. Jewish Pavilion brought that part of his life back to him with Yiddish classes, personal visits, Shabbat, holiday celebrations and also pet therapy. JP was also a great help to me - I felt like I had extended family helping me through his last years. This is a vital service for seniors and their families in Central Florida.

I was very concerned that he would not Want me after receiving a bottle. Dr. Beckman was cheerful, humble, knowledgeable and very positive that 1) baby was born knowing how to latch on to me...we just needed to remind him. And 2) baby should have no problem switching back-and-forth between nipple and bottle it was just a matter of strengthening the muscles that were weak. That was such a relief for a first time mommy. She went though a series of simple tests and gave us exercises to practice. Three days later he had his first decent latch. And ever since then it's been getting better and more consistent with longer stretches of time. We are not even two weeks since our visit with Dr. Beckman and today we've done more breast-feeding than pumping! Dr. Beckman and associates are professional, friendly, and prompt. Her process is backed by science and research, and carried out with kindness and compassion. I would highly recommend this office. Baby and I are forever grateful.
