The staff is efficient and friendly. The chef and his team provides quality cuisine for every palate. The decor is relaxing and the features are well-planned. Love the swimming pool that has a ramp with a rail for seniors needing the added support upon entry and exit. Facing beautiful Lake Charity, the views are spectacular. An up and coming community with a traffic light for easy access to busy Maitland Blvd.

Not far from restaurants, a Farmer's Market, I-4 expressway. Lots of areas to sit in screened in porches, beautiful gardens outside, nice pool and a walking path. It has lots of potential. However, I cannot highly recommend at this time. They are pretty disorganized. When I initially met with the marketing director, I was told that the food was delicious with many options. The service is ridiculously slow in the dining area and far from being delicious. Quality is inconsistent. Food choices are limited with lots of carbs, mostly meat options , very limited fresh green vegetables or fresh fruit. They are very short-staffed. Servers seem burned out. Trelago The Grove is trying to hire more staff. Director is very opened to suggestions and making changes. He seems like he is really trying to improve things and he is hands-on. Newly hired Activities Director is warm, enthusiastic and very helpful. Outside trips are starting to be planned but up until recently, it was very limited. In a senior living facility, I was surprised to see the kitchen has high countertops requiring barstools. I think that most of my concerns relate to being new, limited staff and as I said there is good potential to improve. I will update in a few months.

Cobwebs abound…read more Many broken, damaged fixtures, faucets missing knobs, toilet tissue holders broken for weeks. Painting needed Several staff were compassionate ( and saved the day for Mgt) however many were not ( on their phones). Memory Care quality very lacking as if a patient is incontinent, unless you're there and push the staff to toilet/change them, they sit there or lie in their bed for hours. Don't expect them to help getting their teeth brushed either. Long story but you're lucky if they get it done. UNLESS you push the issue. Food mediocre at best. Activity provided but if a patient is unable to participate no effort to help or get them engaged. Staff to patient ratio very low. This area had about 20 patients and no more than two staff so if one was busy with meds or changing a patient, the other was responsible for everything else like entering or exiting visitor due to the lockdown policy. Forget the positive online reviews and if you tour, ask other visitors their thoughts. Maybe AL is satisfactory but MC is way below expectations.

My grandfather has been here for over 6 months and our experience has not been a positive one. Let…read moreme start by saying he's not mobile and can't see well. His room smells of urine and feces. It's so strong it's hard to be in his room. This isn't an isolated example because you can smell it in the hallways from other rooms, even when trying to mask with air fresheners which makes it worse. His wet clothes are left there as well as soiled diapers to smell up the room. I visit as often as possible and have to empty trash flush the toilet and vacuum. The pictures are gross, but that poop in there is not from today. Look at the ring that stays after flushing! When you sign in you designate room number and I've talked to much of the staff and nurses. Today I was handed 6 MONTHS OF MAIL. There were important notices about his insurance, his doctors appointment and labs that needed immediate attention. We'll be updating mailing address to my home, but would it been that hard to let us know that there was mail? I've also sent multiple emails to director and staff that has gone unanswered to this date. We're in process of finding a new home for my grandfather.

My friends mother has dementia and it's great to see her in a safe environment. She seems to be doing a whole lot better not that she has the care that she needs. If you're considering assisted living, I would highly recommend this one for you to check out.

They even gave me their cell phones to text them if I had questions. The patio is a nice area for the residents to walk around. The place is divided into 3 neighborhoods. It is extremely secure. They give families a key fob so you can go in and out of the facility. The transition of my family member was smooth. Even though she had a "shared" room it was only the bathroom that shared and the other roommate was hardly there as neither was my family member. The residents do not hang out in the rooms which is nice. This location is fairly easy to get to. There was never too much traffic to get in and out of. The lobby is nice as well as the family room to visit with the residents. Serenades of Longwood is a nice and safe place for dementia family members.

We were sad and, admittedly, very concerned about the care she would receive away from us. When we met Carolyn, the Director of Serenades, and her staff, we were immediately put at ease. They were knowledgeable and welcoming but, more importantly, their treatment of the residents was evident. We saw caregivers speaking kindly and with encouraging words prompting baths or participation in the various activities offered. The facility smelled fresh and clean, and the residents always appeared well groomed and - simply said - cared for. Before the pandemic, we could visit anytime we liked, and the circumstances remained consistent - mom looked healthy and clean, and the staff were always attentive to her needs. During the pandemic, we were encouraged to visit mom either remotely or at a safe distance. Sadly, our mom passed a few months ago on New Year's Day following our father who died a week earlier on Christmas Eve. Though we miss them every day, we are grateful that our mom received such wonderful care from a group of people dedicated to helping the elderly live their best lives possible. Not only do we want to express our sincere appreciation of Carolyn but all of her staff, particularly Ainsley and Sabaeda.
