Painting needed Several staff were compassionate ( and saved the day for Mgt) however many were not ( on their phones). Memory Care quality very lacking as if a patient is incontinent, unless you're there and push the staff to toilet/change them, they sit there or lie in their bed for hours. Don't expect them to help getting their teeth brushed either. Long story but you're lucky if they get it done. UNLESS you push the issue. Food mediocre at best. Activity provided but if a patient is unable to participate no effort to help or get them engaged. Staff to patient ratio very low. This area had about 20 patients and no more than two staff so if one was busy with meds or changing a patient, the other was responsible for everything else like entering or exiting visitor due to the lockdown policy. Forget the positive online reviews and if you tour, ask other visitors their thoughts. Maybe AL is satisfactory but MC is way below expectations.

The front desk could not have been kinder and accommodating, and meeting the director on duty (on a weekend I might add) for the first time really put us at ease. I appreciate mtce being so willing to help me get settled for the move in, even letting me borrow tools to assemble furniture! Their activities director is a special person, I can't get her positive attitude and smile out of my head, your loved one will be lucky to have her. Their Sales Director was also amazing, she walked us through the process, went out of her way to give us a video tour the same day we spoke for the first time (that meant a LOT to us) and then worked us through all the initial paperwork. We couldn't be happier with the care my father in law is receiving, this is a great facility made so by the incredible staff.

My mother is thriving there, she finds purpose now everyday! The activities are engaging and well thought out, the premises are beautiful and the rooms are very spacious! All of the staff there have been patient, kind and nurturing. An Alzheimer's diagnosis is scary but Providence helps my family understand this journey we are on & provides top notch care for their residents. My mother is happy, and not just looked after, she is truly cared for. She is safe, engaged, smiling again & finding joy. I wholeheartedly with confidence recommend Providence for those suffering from dementia related conditions. They are what all memory care facilities should strive to be like.

Not far from restaurants, a Farmer's Market, I-4 expressway. Lots of areas to sit in screened in porches, beautiful gardens outside, nice pool and a walking path. It has lots of potential. However, I cannot highly recommend at this time. They are pretty disorganized. When I initially met with the marketing director, I was told that the food was delicious with many options. The service is ridiculously slow in the dining area and far from being delicious. Quality is inconsistent. Food choices are limited with lots of carbs, mostly meat options , very limited fresh green vegetables or fresh fruit. They are very short-staffed. Servers seem burned out. Trelago The Grove is trying to hire more staff. Director is very opened to suggestions and making changes. He seems like he is really trying to improve things and he is hands-on. Newly hired Activities Director is warm, enthusiastic and very helpful. Outside trips are starting to be planned but up until recently, it was very limited. In a senior living facility, I was surprised to see the kitchen has high countertops requiring barstools. I think that most of my concerns relate to being new, limited staff and as I said there is good potential to improve. I will update in a few months.

We were so excited that a room opened up at Village On The Green for him. It is a beautiful facility and at that time, only one-year old. The Physical Therapists and Occupational Therapists did an amazing job with my father-in-law. My father-in-law could not move in his bed, or sit up when he first arrived and he definitely could not walk. Upon leaving he could roll himself over, scoot himself to the edge of the bed and could get up on his walker and walk without any assistance. He was slow and it took him a little time, but I didn't think he would ever walk again. All of the PT's and the OT's said he was a very hard worker and did what they asked of him. They were awesome! They have some wonderful nurses and PT's, such as Marva, Manny, and Michael. Chris Atkinson, Director of Rehabilitation was superb! Nessy Altenor, the Community Outreach Coordinator was great! On the downside, the food was horrible. They definitely needed a new menu and new cooks. I had a very bad experience with their Director of Social Services, Yakini DeClouet. We had a nice conversation one day and before hanging up, she said, "Btw...I will be calling you next week to have a discharge meeting and go over everything your father-in-law will need for discharge, and he will probably be discharged 2 to 3 weeks after that." The next week came and went and no phone call. The following week my husband received a phone call about a hospital bed and a wheelchair being delivered to our house that day and my father-in-law was told he was being discharged the next week. I called Yakini and told her and her response was, "O.k." with the attitude of "Like yeah, so what." I said, "well, you told me you were going to call me last week and we were going to have a discharge meeting and that he would probably be discharged 2 to 3 weeks after that. You never called me last week and now things are suddenly happening, we haven't had our discharge meeting and we aren't ready." Instead of him being discharged in 2 to 3 weeks, we are being told next week." Yakini set the expectation of what we were to expect, but she did not follow through... In fact, quite the opposite. She then told me she was washing her hands of us and that Chris Atkinson, the Director of Rehabilitation, would be handling my father-in-laws discharge from that point forward. When I spoke with Chris, he said that is the social worker's job. I said, "well, she is saying you will be handling my father-in-laws discharge from this point forward, she is washing her hands of us." This is in fact the social worker's responsibility and she washed her hands of my father-in-law, because I called her to find out what was going on....beds and wheelchairs are trying to be delivered, we haven't even had his discharge meeting and we are now being told he is going home the next week. Very unprofessional and took zero responsibility. My father-in-law was not released the following week. He ended up being there for another 3 weeks and his bed and wheelchair were delivered the week prior to his return home. It ended up working out, but we never heard from the social worker again. Extremely poor job and disappointment on the part of Yakini DeClouet. There are several 5 star ratings on this site, but I can tell you, several of them are from the staff, Directors and Administrators that are employed at Village On The Green. Vernon Zeger is the Executive Director at the health center, and Melissa (Missy) Costa is the Administrator at the health center.

One star is incredibly generous. With the exception of a few nurses and a supportive physical…read moretherapy team, Savannah Cove should really be your absolute last choice for rehab. You cannot reach the facility. You will be sent to voicemail over and over, and it will never be returned. If you have a concern, you will not be able to address it. They routinely run out of essential medication, and when they do have it on hand, it is late more often than not, sometimes by hours. When they run out, it can be 24 hours without any pain medication, blood thinners, Insulin, etc. My mother was there for more than 30 days and saw the doctor one time, including when the facility was overrun with Covid and she was complaining of pain in her lungs. Had her symptoms not improved on their own, our only option would have been to call 911 to bring her to the hospital. She requested to see the doctor for several significant issues and was told each day that the doctor "comes in tomorrow." She was never seen in response to a single request, regardless of urgency. She was also frequently ignored by nursing staff. After pressing her call button, nurses would routinely come into the room and turn off her button without speaking to her. Her roommate fell out of her bed several times after being ignored by staff, and there were always cries for help throughout the hall that were never answered. She was recently discharged, and we were told by the discharge team that they had requested approval for PT/OT, nursing, and equipment that would all be with us within 48 hours. After four days, we finally called her insurance company who said they had no record of Savannah Cove ever submitting the requests. When the insurance rep tried calling Savannah Cove to obtain the information, she was also unable to reach anyone. When she finally did, after her third call, they hung up on her after she said she was with the insurance company. If you have literally any other option than Savannah Cove, I would take it. If you don't have an option, be prepared to visit frequently to advocate in person, as best as you can. They will tell you to call, and even here they might say to reach out to the executive director. I did, on more than one occasion, but you can't speak to them. You'll get their voicemail, and they will never return your call. Additionally, some of the positive reviews on this page and others appear to be from names identified on their Facebook as staff and administration, who post reviews from the POV of patients' families.
