My nephew has Fragile X syndrome. He loves to go for car rides and he loves French fries. Yesterday, I gave him a ride and we went to Williams Chicken on University and Church Street. My nephew is somewhat nonverbal but I rolled his window down so he could say his version of Hello to the young lady at the drive through. Her name was Nikki. She was so sweet and so kind to him!!! Don't, just don't. Save your time, save your money, save your health. I ordered chicken tenders with mashed potatoes and wow it was gross. The mashed potatoes tasted burnt, something like a burnt roux. The gravy was gritty and extremely salty. And the chicken was greasy and marginally cooked fully. I ate only a small amount and threw the rest in the trash. If that's not enough to persuade you then know that it also cost twice what other fast food chicken places charge. I went there after not going for months. There was a new staff there and the chicken was delicious. Hot, juicy and seasoned. The restaurant was also clean this time with the floors not being sticky and the tables clean as well. Service was outstanding. I will be going back again. read more

Mann!!! So I was starving and decided to grab Something quick to eat. As I looked to my right I seen Williams Chicken sitting there and my stomach said "Bingo! We got action" at that exact moment my mind reminded me that the wife said (no no no) but against my wife's and mind's judgement I went there anyway. So I get in the drive though and ask for a white meat combo with fries. I get to the window to pay and when I received my food it was fried Okra!! The Indian lady tells me I ordered okra but said she will drop me fresh fries. So she tells me to drive back around and the fries will be ready when I get back to the window. I said okay. While I was driving around and waiting back in the drive-through line, I decided to try some of my chicken. I instantly realized that the chicken was disgusting. I'll get back to the front window. I ask them that they season the chicken at all. The two Indian ladies was looking at me like no we don't season it! I'm like are you sure you don't see it at all? The lady said no we don't season. All of a sudden some man pops out of the window from behind them " like I am the cook and they don't know what they're talking about I do season it and I soak it for 13 hours" I said no, you have to be lying. He said "no I'm not" I told him well my taste buds must be broken because look right here. There's no speck of season anywhere on this thing as I'm showing him the chicken. I literally didn't see one black dot of pepper anywhere. And the batter they use for the chicken looks like tempura. Like the stuff that asians batter there shrimp with. Anyway. I took the chicken apart while I'm talking to him. Trying to find seasoning anywhere. He (the cook/ owner told me that I won't see the seasoning because it's in his brine that he soaks it in for 13 hours. However, even if you did that you still should season it for one, and for 2 the chicken will have a red or some type of discoloration signifying it was properly marinated. I told him to keep the french fries because I don't want them, but they gave them to me anyway. There was a homeless lady right in the parking lot so I drove out of the drive-through and gave all of my food to the homeless lady.. I informed her I bit a piece of the wing and tore some of the chicken breasts off of the chicken breast but it's still good food and edible. I also told her if she needs salt and pepper for the chicken to go to Williams Chicken and ask for some. To make a long story even longer this was the worst chicken I ever had in my life. I am a foodie and I've eaten everywhere in many countries and this is by far the worst. If you are dying of starvation, and your ribs is touching your back because your stomach is that empty please do not go here. You will be better off, catching a pigeon and putting it in the microwave or over an open flame in the back alley. Than eating here. I should call Dr. Fauci. And the FDA to have them shut this Williams chicken down. They must be stopped. Unimpressed. I had never tried Williams Chicken before so decided to give it a shot. Drove past and decided to stop since there was only one car in the drive thru. Took my order and I got in line. It was all downhill from here. The car in front of me was waiting on their food. 10, then 20, now 30 minutes later they get their food. Normally, I would have just backed out of the drive thru and left. However, another car blocked me in and you can't easily get out of the drive thru. So I waited. I get to the cashier and pay. Then she asks me to pull forward and they will bring it out. Now I'm already upset for the wait, but they hadn't even started cooking my order!! At 45 minutes I go into the store and It's just coming out. Really? The service is terrible. I get home to try the food. Heavy breading which I like. However it tastes like flour! Bland, bland, bland. Come on now. I didn't expect the Colonel's secret 11 herbs and spices. But basic salt, pepper and some seasoning...yes that is expected! Bad service topped with bad food is usually a recipe for me to never return. However, I understand not everyone gets it right the first time. So, I'll give them another shot later. We ordered here last night after running around and moving all day, I expected some nice fried chicken but instead was greeted with greasy, overcooked, unseasoned chicken that was more batter than chicken, my food was completely inedible and just ended up in the trash, the fries were soggy and bland and looked like they were just frozen and defrosted and that's how they were served. My friend got the chicken tenders and was only able to eat 2 before just throwing the other three away. It felt as though they just showered it with salt and let it go out that way. Even the hot wings were bad, I'm not sure what "buffalo" sauce they used but it had zero spice and pretty much just tasted like vinegar. They charged us 40 dollars for all of this and we weren't even able to eat the food. This place deserves negative stars, you're better off going to Walmart and getting their hot food section, honestly anywhere else. Do yourself a favor and don't eat here save your money read more

I ordered the 12 pc tender dinner with 2 sides and 2 drinks for $22.50. I ordered inside and that meal was priced at $22.50, the cashier, more than likely, one of the managers, if not, the owners says your total is $27.50, HOW!!!! He said the menu price was wrong and says someone probably forgot to change the price listed, not only did it cost more, it was the same price as the regular 12 pc chicken dinner. I said whatever and paid, got home and some of my tenders were pink in the center, disgusted. First time to try Williams chicken. Got a chicken sandwich and a Cole slaw at the drive thru with a Diet Coke. The service was quick and polite but the chicken sandwich was such a disappointment! Dry, deep fried chicken breast, a handful of dill pickle slices, and a bun. That's it. No sauce at all except mayonnaise packet thrown in. As most businesses, just getting started, you can expect stellar or lackluster depending on how the preparation of staff and management begins. At least, that is my opinion. I grew up eating Williams chicken in Louisiana and was excited to see a location end up in McKinney. To my experience, it was the drive thru. Quick, courteous but not the chicken I remember. It is halal prepared chicken and in my opinion the establishment should be under another name, NOT Williams... but to "each his own"! I never thought I would say the Church's location in McKinney was superior to any place, but they were a little better than the place that replaced them a couple of weeks ago (Williams). Williams was open at 1000 like Church's which was a plus since I was driving past two minutes later and needed to grab lunch for the family. The rest of the visit resulted in multiple issues. Took another 10 minutes after I arrived for chicken to be ready. The associate who took my order was pleasant enough, but the woman who picked and bagged (seemed to be a manager) it was not. Very curt answers to questions that were borderline rude. She jammed 16 pieces of chicken in a box that was clearly not meant for it and then bagged it in a bag that barely fit the box. On the way to my car, the handle ripped with the box of food falling on the ground. Luckily, the food didn't end up coming out, and i wasn't about to go back in. Chicken was OK, but the skin was pretty loose as a result of it being piled onto other pieces and eventually dropped. Beyond that, the oil was obviously old and a little funky. I expected better from a newly open place that just opened for the day. Prices were as expected, but the breasts were a total mess and not worth the price. Wings on the other hand were meaty, and I ended up with an extra wing since it was supposed to be a 15 piece meal. Location was a mess, but I'll chalk that up to a new open with new staff. I will certainly hold off going again at least until they have been open for a while, and I may not return. There are better options for the same convenience and price. read more

Don't try and order DoorDash from this location. I ordered almost an hour before they closed and they still cancelled my order. If this ever happens to you, go back on the DoorDash app and check the location again. If it says "Currently Closed," (during normal business hours) that means they just cancelled your order and turned off the DoorDash tablet so they don't get anymore orders. Places usually do this so they can clean up and go home earlier. Pure laziness by staff most of the time. I'll pass on this location moving forward. read more

I called in my order for gizzards because of the time needed to cook them. When I arrived the manager told me that they didn't drop them because she didn't know how long it would take me to arrive. I told her that she was told a time on the phone. Then she lies and says that she couldn't hear good on the call. However, when I arrived she still had my order in the system and everything was correct, so it seems she was hearing pretty good to me. She said it would be 5 minutes to cook the gizzards at 1:24 pm. I waited for the gizzards to finish. She started to box the gizzards and she tells the cook that the gizzards were 4 short. So I waited again for those gizzards to cook. Not once did she say anything to me about the order. Once the order was completed it was 1:43 pm almost 20 minutes later. I asked the lady was she the manager. She replied yes and I said to her you could have at least apologized for the order taking so long since it was your fault that I had to wait so long. She just stared at me and then said Thank you. Have a nice day. But still no apology. I won't be going back with this type of horrible customer service read more
