This resturant is sooooo cute and instgramable. But sadly the food was below average and flavorless. The toast with the goat cheese and some kind of butter was terrible and we couldn't eat it. The shakshuka wasn't bad but it lacked a lot of flavor. The buratta was average. The only reason there are three stars is because the drinks were really good! The Bloody Mary was good and my green tequila cocktail was amazing. The other reason for the lack of stars is the Unhygienic bar tending. She grabbed my straw with her fingers she kept rubbing on her dirty towel hanging from her back pocket and she dropped the lemon in my drink with her hand. It's just a little gross during the day in age. I would NOT recommend coming here. read more

Maybe we weren't supposed to come at night. Half of the menu items are brunch stuff.. didnt know the lot next to it is also park-able so i parked on the street. Drinks are $14-17 per, which is quite pricy in Tampa. The $14 ones are premixed, not bad just didn't feel like it's worth that much. The food is meh and also quite pricy. The thing that bothered us the most is how we felt rushed. They are over attentive, trying to clear plates multiple times when there's still food in it. Even though there were only like 5 tables occupied. Also, they close at 9pm on weekdays for dinner, so if you are planning a late dinner this is not the place. read more

We finished brunch at Willa's only a few hours ago and I just received a text thanking us for joining them! I am beyond impressed, and I had left felling extremely impressed:) The space is beautiful. The service and staff are incredible. Sadly these days you rarely get service good enough to gush about. The food, drinks and menu are all stellar. I had a very hard time deciding what to order because it all sounded amazing. We walked in without a reservation and we're told it could be 45 minutes I said no problem as we are a party of 5 we went next door grab coffee's and our table was ready:) I love when they underpromise and over deliver. A group of us walked over here from Rome + fig to check this place out. I had a couple of things to eat and a drink. I tried the peach blueberry cobbler and the chicken soup. The chicken soup was good, but the peach blueberry cobbler was bland sweet. I think mine didn't have ripe peaches. I tasted a "fruit", but not much else (Maybe it needed cinnamon or something). My drink of choice was the Willa's fix on tap cocktail which was good. The atmosphere, visually, is very nice. It appears they renovated an older building to use this restaurant for. My son and daughter-in-law took us here for dinner.on a Wednesday evening. The restaurant recently opened in the north Hyde park area. It is in it's own free standing building and has a large parking lot. It seems this area is undergoing a modernization. The decor is contemporary and the restaurant has a chic feel. There is some outside seating with umbrellas in front. The food and service was excellent. The menu is American comfort food. We ordered several small plates to start. Prosciutto, whipped ricotta toast, homemade potato chips and pull apart rolls. For diner we had the pork schnitzel which came with a nice side salad. I ordered a side of macaroni au gratin. The schnitzel was some of the best I've eaten, including German restaurants. The Mac n cheese was also some of the best I've eaten. The menu is alla cart. The bar area is nice. They have a unique beer, wine and cocktail menu. I had a local beer on tap. I forget the name, but it was a lager and tasted like a German Warsteiner. read more

Finally tried Willa's for the first time and it is a pretty cute spot. It reminded me of a restaurant you would find in Williamsburg in Brooklyn. Great music and loved the decor. A little loud, but that's because it was a busy Friday night. Our server Joe was really great and so was the rest of the staff that we came across. We started with the whipped ricotta toast with hazelnuts and honey which I thought was ok. It would've been better if the hazelnuts were chopped or maybe as a dip imo. The mac and cheese was good as well, not too creamy which I would've liked more of and definitely glad we added the bacon because it was pretty plain. Also the menu said you can add pork belly which I get technically is bacon, but we were hoping for some thicker pieces instead of regular bacon. Wasn't the best mac and cheese I've had, but it was still tasty and a good portion. The entrees we had were both great and super large portions. I especially enjoyed the rotisserie chicken. It was super succulent and the sauce on top was delicious. The schnitzel was good too, but was a little dry. The carrot cake was amazing and huge. It was served cold and the icing wasn't too overwhelming. Overall, enjoyed our dinner and definitely want to come back for brunch! read more

Amber was serving us at my company party tonight and she was absolutely perfect. The best server we could have asked for. She was bartending and was so incredibly personable and helpful in drink orders as well as allowing us to sample different things and teaching us about liquors, we couldn't have been more impressed. They make their own tonic and ginger beer! I recommend the Ginger's Rule. We also tried the Grandfather Grocer, shandy, and Reverse Vesper. We started out with the fried oysters, which I would skip but others liked it and the beef tartare which we all agreed was delicious! We ordered the prosciutto, pickles, bread, kale Caesar salad, rotisserie chicken, pork chop, Mac and cheese, greens and banana pudding. The plates were affordable and I appreciated the opportunity to indulge in yummy food or eat a healthy, lighter meal. This is a beautiful place that has plenty of parking, nice bar, healthy fresh food offerings, desserts , cafe and great drink selection along with house made sodas. This is slowly becoming a family favorite as we're basically neighbors. My husband and I love sitting at the bar, sipping their sangria and enjoying the atmosphere here. Their menu offers a chicken that's roasted in house and looks amazing. The staff is always helpful, friendly and we've never had a bad experience to date. My daughter loves trying their different drink choices which are more fun than the standard syrup sodas. On days we don't have much time, We love stopping in the cafe for a quick coffee or pastry. I'm glad this place is so close to home and we really enjoyed everything that we tried. Looking forward to a competitive happy hour to get me in more often. read more

Writing a follow up review because I love this place so much. This is legitimately the perfect restaurant, I wouldn't change a thing. They make the perfect French fry, and I'm not kidding when I say I dream about the house salad (btw they put the perfect amount of dressing on it now). The staff is super friendly and the inside is so inviting. I would eat here everyday if I lived closer. Also there is something new on the menu every time I come. I'm on a mission to try everything on the menu because I know it'll be good. If you have a picky eater or someone who doesn't love vegetables, have them come here, my boyfriend asks for the broccolini every time we're here which he would never order anywhere else. So happy I got to finally experience all things Willa's. Their reservation process is a bit daunting of leaving a credit card deposit, etc. but their space inside is very limited. Cocktails are amazing and their spritz on tap was great and refreshing. Definitely will be a go to for me anytime I visit. I thoroughly enjoyed my Rotisserie Chicken Dip sandwich. It was served on a hearty baguette that was soft and had the right amount of pickles to help flavor the sandwich. I do wish the chips either had a little less seasoning or came with the option of fries instead. Others at the table also enjoyed their burgers, which looked amazing. I really enjoy coming to this restaurant! I've been here a couple times now and every time it just cheers me up. The ambiance is amazing and super trendy. You can either sit down and eat or just grab a coffee to-go. The service is always welcoming and super helpful. This most previous time I went I got the chicken salad sandwich. The bread was a little toasty for my liking and I could have went without the chips but other than that I enjoyed it. Sitting outside around this time of year is perfect! They offer reservations and walk ups. The parking lot is a tad small but there is street parking around the area and a safe walking distance. Highly recommend! read more

Appreciate the hand sanitizing spray at the table but whatever you do don't smell it. For whatever reason I thought because it was in such a fancy bottle that it may have a nice fragrance and I was very very wrong. What I would order again: Mac & Cheese (oh so very cheesy and a great portion to share) Roasted Potatoes (I would honestly come here just for these!) What I would avoid: Olives (they have pits so it's weird to eat in the age of covid. Pickles (was hoping to have more variety than just slices of cucumber) Cheese (one of the 4 pieces was rind, and it's not served with anything or marinated, just blocks of cheese) Not quite 5 stars as it's clear they're still working out some things being so new. I wanted to go this place on a Sunday became their daily special is a roast. A roast always reminds of one of the meals I always asked my dad to make. The atmosphere is cute and modern. I was helped by a bartender who's name I didn't catch. He was friendly and welcoming. I started off with the fried oysters then got the roast. So many cocktails to choose fun but I went with the spicy margarita. The oysters were good. Not heavy on the breading. I was disappointed the roast did not come with a side so I ordered the mac and cheese. Big mistake since I was only able to take like 3 bites of it. I got so full from the roast. I love the gravy that it was covered in. The top of the mac and cheese had a nice baked crust which was the best part. I wish I had room because my plan was to try for the first time ever an Espresso Martini. Next time since I need to come back and try the other things on the menu! read more

Have been to Willas for a date night dinner and for a (paid) holiday themed closed event. Date night: Ambiance and service was great! Really enjoyed their zero-proof drink option. The food was good, and would go back for their dinner menu. Event: Decorations added to the festive energy, appetizers served were sufficient, the drink menu was unique, but I was disappointed when the specialty cocktail(s) were served in a plastic cup. For a paid event (AND paid drinks mind you) I'd expect them to keep top tier visual presentation. Not serving a themed cocktail in a glass thus adding to the presentation disrupts the picturesque idea of going to a decorated bar during the holidays. To pay $15+ for a cocktail to be served like that at a holiday event that was already ~$30 is lazy, frankly. And there were definitely glasses available as I was able to see them available for use from sitting at the bar. So if possible I'd make this a 3.5 review because I think it matters to offer consistent level of top tier service throughout different scenarios. read more
