The RVs almost all had permanent additions on them. Some had roofs built on over the top of the RV roof. This is not a place I would consider staying. However, it is definitely fulfilling the needs of its residents. There doesn't appear to be strict restrictions like you will find at most other places.

He communicated directly via text and email before we even arrived and provided a lot of valuable advice and suggestions to plan our trip to Eugene and the surrounding area. When we arrived to the B&B it was like coming to a second home with a welcoming relative. Every detail and comfort was considered and present in advance. The estate is massive and yet homey simultaneously. Tom was a tremendous host throughtout our 3 day stay and cooked and served a delicious and fresh breakfast daily. Also charged our Tesla at no cost, told interesting stories about his home and the region, and recommended places to visit. He truly went above and beyond to make our stay a 5-star+++ experience. If all that was not enough, Tom picked berries with our 5-year old in his orchard, gave her cooking lessons, and kept her entertained while we rested. Can't recommend McKenzie Orchard Inn enough and can't thank Tom enough for his warmth and hospitality.

The best Japanese lager and a glass of white wine was just what we craved. We humped our gear up a short flight of stairs to a room around the corner on the second floor. Beautiful! Clean! Comfortable king bed. Quality engineered hardwood floors, no plastic here. Wood ceilings and pine open closet neatly organized with plush white towels. Thoughtfully appointed room in modern colors that complimented the wood and white linens. All of it, ample space, color coordination (even the old style phone matched the fridge and microwave). But the bathroom was amazing. Beautiful tile work, walls and floor. The plumbing fixtures look like "steam pump" style in brass. Nothing was missed here. Everything matches. Clearly the owner takes great pride in this motel and has gone above and beyond to make their guest's stay remarkable and memorable. Needless to say, we are impressed and so pleased to find this gem. Reading through other reviews (on multiple sites) the owners seem to have a pattern of treating guests inappropriately. We booked the room for a business trip for a customer who was coming to Sweet Home. This was for an out of town guest. I tried to call the Inn two weeks ago to make a direct booking. I left 3 messages and none were returned. I was hoping to give them the direct business. So I booked it through Expedia. Expedia took our Amex card and I received confirmation that the booking was confirmed Several days later, I received a message on Expedia saying that they did not accept American Express at the Inn. I told her to charge it under Expedia. She said she couldn't. That's fine. I asked her for a phone number because I had tried calling the mainline and no one answered. They gave me a personal cell phone number to call. I called the number and talked to the Female owner. She told me they don't accept American Express, but they can if they charge a surcharge. I told her I'd rather not pay the surcharge and she told me I could pay either cash or with a different credit card check in. I didn't hear anything back for a few days and then this morning I received a cancellation. I called their main hotel line again, no answer. So I called the cell phone that they had given me before. This time the Male owner answered. I asked why my reservation has been canceled and he said we have been trying to contact you for another credit card. I told him I talked to his wife a few days before everything was all good then. he said no we need a credit card. OK I was willing to give him a credit card at that moment. He said the credit card has to be in my name, I said yes it is. Then he told me that the room were all booked (which was a lie, they have rooms available online and he also lied to Expedia about this too). Anytime I tried to speak to him. He just talked over me and became very rude. Then he hung up the phone. I've filed a complaint a with Expedia. Unfortunately, because they canceled the reservation I have no photos to share of the conversations. For reading this, Sweet Home is a wonderful place to visit and vacation. Don't let these folks scare you. I'll be booking a new room at the Best Western in Lebanon. We have booked rooms at BW in the past and it has been a pleasant experience. I was hoping to try out the Foster Lake Inn as it's closer and I wanted to support a local business. It's very sad that the owners are not customer service oriented. I would suggest that you hire a manager and pull yourselves out of the business.
