It's a great spot. In the woods, and some fine weather, but the best are the people there. Lots of smiles, and waves, and fun activities.

The name of the nurse is SONJA - do not EVER stay there if she is your nurse. Here with my friend…read morefor a check on her lungs since she had been feeling some pain there. We've been here about 5 hours now, there's no food or water for them to provide, and my friend is about to passout as she's gotten progressively worse while being here. This feels extremely counterintuitive to what an emergency care is supposed to feel like. I expressed this concern to Sonja while adding that this was "not her fault" and in response she bent down right in front of me, took off her mask which is extremely unprofessional in a medical setting, and argued with me like a child. I told her behavior felt condescending, and like a CHILD would, she responded "YOU'RE being condescending!!!". Felt like i was in a preschool instead of a hospital. I understand the chaos of healthcare but hardly anyone is even giving her any attention or acknowledging her declining health, and no one can even give us a eta or anything of the sort. We've talked to multiple doctors now, the rest have been understanding however Sonja was INCREDIBLY rude. As a doctor I would've hoped that she understands anxiety and frustration from patients, but there was no understanding or validation of our worries or anything of the sort. Horrible experience here, do not come and DEFINITELY do not stay if Sonja is your nurse. I cannot express my disdain and anger towards this facility, specifically her. I feel kinda bad for her tho, life must suck in order to talk this way to someone clearly at least 25 years younger than you.

Each room that was stayed in was in great condition upon check in. I still miss a good complimentary breakfast from BW but we blame Covid for all these missing things now. I will say that the hotel does have billing issues much like other reviewers have mentioned. Strange ones that I've never encountered at any other hotel no matter how cheap or expensive. The biggest complaint, they charged my card for the full amount before the stay was over. When my partner went to pay with his personal card and a gift card for the room at check out, they told him the card was already charged. Meaning, my card that I used to make the reservation was charged the full amount. However, you can pay at check out with a separate card and maybe a gift card you earned through the rewards program they offer at check out. They wouldn't even reverse the charges and re apply to his card or gift card. I've never encountered that before. Even charging before the 11am check out is weird. Anyhow, we stayed a total of five times. Sadly we wont be coming back again for awhile if not forever. I'm a Best Western customer through and through but when you get a bad one it really stands out.

Unfortunately, my experience this evening was particularly unsatisfactory. I extended my stay by an additional day and went out this morning at 8:00 AM. I left a sign on the door requesting housekeeping services, such as fresh towels, bed making, and trash removal. I returned intermittently throughout the day from visiting a family member at the hospital, but these requests had not been fulfilled. At approximately 5:30 PM, I returned to my room expecting the services to be completed, but they had not been. I contacted the front desk, where I was informed that the housekeeping staff had finished for the day. I also inquired about the signs I had left, which were printed in English--however, I was told that the house keeping is only Spanish. As I understand, staff members should be trained to recognize and understand these signs regardless of language, to ensure guest requests are properly handled. When I discussed this with the front desk, they mentioned that the only assistance they could provide was towels, which would require me to leave the room and obtain them myself, as no housekeeping was available. I then carefully placed the trash in the designated cleaning areas which was still open and decided to depart for the evening. The front desk stated they could provide me with an email address for customer service to file a formal complaint and mentioned that they could inform a supervisor, but there was no guarantee of resolution. I intend to submit a formal complaint regarding the language barrier and the lack of understanding of housekeeping signage. I believe it is important that staff are properly trained so they can address guest requests effectively. Additionally, Saturday morning was also frustrating. The breakfast service did not open until shortly after the scheduled time, and the attendant managing the breakfast buffet was quite unpleasant, displaying aggressive behavior such as pushing chairs as if she was truly pussed off and without regard for the setup. The breakfast offerings were incomplete at the opening, with no bread, carbs, or pancake batter available, which was disappointing. On a positive note, I appreciated that the laundry facilities included at least one washer and dryer, which were affordable and in good working condition. The availability of laundry detergent at the front desk was also convenient. However, the coffee machines--offering mochas, espressos, and lattes--have been broken since our arrival, possibly even before, and it does not appear there are plans to repair them before the weekend. Overall, I am disappointed with this renovated property. It does not seem to meet the standards expected of a Best Western Plus hotel. As a member at the Diamond or Gold level, I believe all guests should receive consistent and quality service, and I am concerned that this has not been the case during my stay.

Check-in was smooth, and the staff member who greeted us was genuinely pleasant and cool, giving us some extra water and few green bags of goodies (returned the next day), promising to wave the parking fee. That's where the positives ended. After a long drive, we dropped our bags in da rooms and went out for a dinner without inspecting our rooms a bit closely. When we returned later that night and checked the beds with a UV light, we were shocked to find stains on both beds. It was darn disturbing (photos attached)! We went down to the front desk to report it. The night staff told us there was no one available to change the linens and no other rooms available to change at full occupancy. Instead, we were handed a set of sheets and sent back to deal with it ourselves. After 10 PM, exhausted, we had no real choice but to accept it. In the morning, we raised the issue again with the new front desk rep. The replacement sheets were not much better, and despite our complaint, the response was limited to verbal apologies only. We were still charged full price for the night, plus a $20 parking fee for overfilled parking lot that's essentially had open access from the street. This is not the level of cleanliness or service expected from a Hyatt. Do your due diligence and do not assume standards are being met. Check your room carefully before settling in. Breakfast on the other hand was great! Variety of eggs, milks and healthy choices beat other Hyatt locations we stated at the next day in Portland. Loved it, and that what basically got the stars.

Beautiful grounds and a lovely breakfast, plus an evening glass of wine are all included. Very good value. Not mentioned in any reviews that I read prior to staying here: a mainline of the Union Pacific Railroad is just three blocks away. At least three times during the dead of night, trains came through with the horns blowing loudly at each of many crossings through this part of Eugene. Unbelievably loud!!! People living in this area must be able to tune it out, but we were NOT used to this. Because the Campbell House is up a hill from the railroad, it seems that horns can be heard unimpeded by other structures (despite the massive 18 floor Ya-Po-Ah Terrace building nearby). I would suggest wearing ear plugs during the night. Nevertheless, I would consider staying hear again if traveling on my own, but my wife would probably veto it we were both traveling. We left sleep deprived to begin our 7+ hour drive home.

I am on a 5 week road trip/camping trip with my kids and we have been camping all over the PNW and CA. This has been my favorite stop of the trip and had I known it was going to be this magical, I would've booked a week instead of 3 days. The check in process was amazing. They give you the code and you go to your Yurt which is away from everyone else at the campground. You have your own little dock, backyard, outdoor cooking area, sunroom with a shower, and the Yurt itself is like a home/suite-like hotel room but in a Yurt. After a long day of driving, being able to just go to your room and walk right in, especially with young kids in the car, is such an added bonus. I've literally felt like I've had the place to myself these last few days and it's heavenly. Being away from it all means my kids aren't bothering anyone when they're out playing at 6:00 in the morning, and we've been sleeping like logs by 9:00 because it's so quiet --aside from the relaxing sound of water and birds. I'm pretty sure this is my new favorite place. It's so much better than the website depicts and I am absolutely staying here again. I imagine this place books up rather quickly. I got lucky and booked it 7 months ago with no problems. You can kayak (included) to Siltcoos lake OR the ocean. The added gate to keep kids in and away from the dock is such a thoughtful touch and kept my anxiety at bay knowing my twins wouldn't wander off.
