We love this place- so close to Eugene yet feels and smells as if your way out in the forest, far away from it all. Love the privacy and gorgeous trees! The staff has always been wonderful, the store has ice, firewood, small grocery items and bikes for rent. Across the way a park setting for kids and family to play. Access to the lake, more kids play area and a great place to ride bicycles along the water. Summertime when it's busy, it does get a little noisy but for the most part, people respect the 10pm quiet time. What I really appreciate is that each time we go, our firepit is cleaned out- I know staff maintains the sites and for the most part, sites are very clean. What is wrong with campers that they cant clean up after themselves? Always was raised that you leave your area cleaner than how you found it. So disrespectful to leave garbage, food and debris at any facility. It's not that hard to care a little bit about the forest, animals and other people. Ok, I'm done. Look forward to going back next year!

This is a very family & RV oriented type of campground. It's primarily for families who have children, boats, RVs, big gas guzzling trucks and other vestigages of the typical Middle America kinds of lifestyle (shopping at Costco, for example). It's a pretty tidy campground - could use more trees, fewer signs about poison oak nailed to the trees that are there. The camp hosts are legion here - and they are all extremely friendly and helpful. I landed here just at sunset on Fourth of July - the campground was packed, but I was able to get a spot in the "hiker/biker" camp area (which would only take 4 tents) despite the fact that I later saw plenty of camp sites that were reserved only for someone's boat/trailer (so a tent area, picnic table & fire pit were just being unused!) Folks stay up late drinking beer and shooting off fireworks, the I think I was the first person up and about except for the janitor at 5:30am the next morning in Campground B. I don't know that I would make this a destination but it would do in a pinch and I imagine that it would be far less crowded off-holiday. The reservoir is big enough that it has multiple marina areas - and they seemed to be having a fireworks showdown which was enjoyable though not spectacular. Great for kids & families!

Lovely campground with a variety of sites to choose from. Plenty of pines to provide sufficient privacy. Online reservations are a breeze, though I couldn't find a map to help select one (found one on another website). Camp hosts are welcoming and helpful. Washrooms are immaculate though showers are closed thanks to COVID-19.

Really nice campground close to town. Attached park has large day use area with roped off swimming area and beach for kayak launching. There is a very large marina equipped for boats up to 30ft in length. Outdoor movies every week reasonably wheelchair accessible.

    Empty park!! Amazing

Not sure how this place could have anything but 5 star reviews. We planned a 3 night trip here and ended up staying 9 nights. We liked it so much we even came back the next weekend. The RV/Tent slips are pretty secluded and surrounded by trees. If you get a slip on the outskirts the brush and trees are so thick you cant even see your neighbors which is so nice for privacy. We came during the offseason, September/October, and it was super quiet and peaceful. I think because of the season there wasn't much activity in general however, it made for a nice quiet trip. I can imagine during the summer the place would be filled with families and people doing lake activities. We can't wait to come try out this site during that time. The park hosts were nothing short of amazing. They were just the sweetest and were super accommodating to us. I love it here and cant wait to come back again and again and again!!!

We were camping and where we were staying, there was only a fast moving river. We wanted to chill on our floaties and not worry about being pushed out to kingdom come. The place has a lot of tables and is kept up. I never saw workers so the fact that it was clean at the end of the day was nice. The people there were mixed meaning some were families, some were just young people there to have fun. Some looked seedy while others looked okay. All were there to have fun so don't let that keep you. There is a roped swimming area which is nice if you have little ones. Of course most people went on the other side (I did) because it was easier to swim. Off to the right there are kayak and paddle board rentals. I believe they were about $40 for the entire day. They even had a sailboat rental for $60 for an hour. I would definitely visit this place again if I were in the area.

Of course, you can always walk in for free or park a few blocks away and walk. This park borders the fern ridge reservoir and features tons of picnic tables with BBQs, a boat launch ramp, a small sand volleyball court, an area to dock boats, bathrooms, an unmonitored swimming area, and fun in the sun! If you want to host a BBQ or get together without needing a reservation this place is perfect. If you come in winter, low water reveals extra shoreline which can make for a fun day of treasure hunting, I once found a very wet phone here and was able to return it to it's owner. This is a particularly great place to start a run around the lake, you can go for miles without seeing another person or car.

I am on a 5 week road trip/camping trip with my kids and we have been camping all over the PNW and CA. This has been my favorite stop of the trip and had I known it was going to be this magical, I would've booked a week instead of 3 days. The check in process was amazing. They give you the code and you go to your Yurt which is away from everyone else at the campground. You have your own little dock, backyard, outdoor cooking area, sunroom with a shower, and the Yurt itself is like a home/suite-like hotel room but in a Yurt. After a long day of driving, being able to just go to your room and walk right in, especially with young kids in the car, is such an added bonus. I've literally felt like I've had the place to myself these last few days and it's heavenly. Being away from it all means my kids aren't bothering anyone when they're out playing at 6:00 in the morning, and we've been sleeping like logs by 9:00 because it's so quiet --aside from the relaxing sound of water and birds. I'm pretty sure this is my new favorite place. It's so much better than the website depicts and I am absolutely staying here again. I imagine this place books up rather quickly. I got lucky and booked it 7 months ago with no problems. You can kayak (included) to Siltcoos lake OR the ocean. The added gate to keep kids in and away from the dock is such a thoughtful touch and kept my anxiety at bay knowing my twins wouldn't wander off.
