I am thoroughly pleased with my experiences at Will Vision and Laser Center! I was quite nervous about the procedure, but my misconceptions of Lasik were immediately alleviated when I stepped into Dr. Will's office. All staff members were extremely friendly and helpful, and the office just had a comforting atmosphere to it. I filled out a quick, electronic form and was soon taken into the back for preliminary tests that are very similar to those used in an optometrist's office. I watched two, short videos: one described the general history of Lasik, and the other was Dr. Will himself telling you about the process! Both videos told me more information about Lasik that I didn't know before. I felt very well-informed after that. And then I met Dr. Will! He looked at my eyes and at the tests that I had just taken. He said I was a great candidate for the procedure. He answered a couple questions I had, and I felt 100% confident that I could go through with the surgery. And believe me, the actual surgery was SO MUCH BETTER than I expected! Wow! It was quick, painless, and much easier than I ever dreamed. I was very nervous about being awake during the procedure and seeing the laser come near your eyes. That was the part that worried me the most, but it was really quite simple and not scary at all. I laid down in a comfortable chair, the two nurses talked me through each step, and I held a cute stuffed bear which was really helpful to keep me from moving my hands. Dr. Will was gentle and reassuring as well during the whole process. He squeezed my shoulder after it was all over and said I did a great job! I was so pleased! My eyes didn't hurt. The surgery was only about 10 minutes, if that. It was amazing. He uses only the top of the line equipment in the business and it's worth every penny. I trusted him and his staff 100%, which is extremely important when we're talking about your vision! They also have an observation room, so my husband got to watch on a TV screen exactly what Dr. Will was seeing. And you get a DVD or flash drive with your procedure too so you can show curious people what you went through. It was truly a breeze. I can't say anything negative about my experiences. I would go back in a heartbeat if I had to do it all over again. I recommend Will Vision to anyone and everyone. Just go in for a free consultation! My experience at Will Vision & Laser Center was UNBELIEVABLE!!! I cannot explain how excited I am about the whole procedure. When I walked in for my free consultation I really didn't know what to expect. I didn't know if I would be a candidate for LASIK. I didn't know how safe it was, and if the risk outweighed the benefits. After walking in I was amazed with how professional and fresh the whole place felt. After finishing the sign in I was brought back to go through the testing process. The whole time I felt like I was in good hands. They walked me through what each machine was doing. One thing that Will Vision prides itself on is using only using the latest in LASIK technology. Lastly on the consultation day they show you videos explaining what to expect before, during, and after the procedure. I was absolutely astounded with the experience of the consultation that I scheduled my appointment for the procedure that day. On the day of procedure they take you back and explain the medicine and again go over what to expect during the procedure and after. Once all that is taken care of they take you into the operation room and make sure you're comfortable. Next Dr. Will asks if he can pray with you which I thought was the coolest thing. After that they move you under the laser that creates the flap, which only takes a few seconds. Next you move to the laser that actually does the reformation all the while you have someone telling you exactly what is happening and letting you know how much time is left. It only takes a few minutes and you're on to the next eye. The whole thing was painless and quick it took all of maybe 20 minutes to complete and once you sit up you can see, and you're done. I first approached Dr. Will and His staff in 2001 just after he opened his office and Laser center in Salem, Oregon. My vision was 20/600 in one eye and 20/800 in the other, and I had worn glasses since the age of 5 and contact lenses since 27. Dr, Will and his staff were wonderful and the proceedure lasik proceedure was painless and simple. While I know that God is the Devine Healer, I truly believe that he uses individuals as his angels to help get the healing accomplished. Dr. Will and his staff were some of those angels for me. I went from my old sight to 20/15 in one eye and 20/20 in the other, the closest thing to a miracle I have experienced. After 19 years, I noticed some changes, especially in my left eye, - age does that to one -have not seen distances as clearly, and have had to use 2.5 reading glasses to see print clearly. I approached Dr. Will about doing an enhancement and was pleased to find out I qualified. On December 2, 2019, I had the enhancement proceedure completed and found the proceedure equaly as simple and enjoyable as before. My distance vision has once again been sharpened, but I was very surprised that I can also now read without by readers! I began thinking about lasik surgery several years ago. When I finally decided to go ahead with the procedure this year, Dr. Will was my only choice. I have several friends who received their treatment at Will Vision, and they were all 100% satisfied. From my first consultation visit through my surgery yesterday, (I am typing this on my 15 inch laptop without glasses!) I was made to feel comfortable and welcome. Everything about the procedure was explained clearly. There was no pressure to make any decisions on the day of my first visit, but it was a decision easy to make. The Will Vision Center is a warm, relaxing environment that does not feel medical or cold. Throughout the procedure, Jenny explained every step as it occurred while Dr.Will worked. I cannot say enough good things about the entire staff at Will Vision and Laser Center. I went to the Vancouver office for all my appointments. The office staff were friendly and knowledgeable, taking time to answer all my questions. They explained everything they were doing with regards to the testing to make sure I understood what was happening and why. Dr. Will took time to examine my eyes, answer my questions and talk about my options. All my pre and post op instructions were given to me in writing as well as verbally - an ideal way to make sure nothing was overlooked. As for the procedure itself, I was nervous, but it was so much easier than I imagined. The sedative offered really helped me relax, and the staff made sure I was extremely comfortable during the procedure. The entire thing probably took less than 10 minutes, with the "laser" portion being less than a minute for each eye. Again, a staff member explained exactly what was happening and helped me know what to expect throughout the procedure. I thought I'd be flighting the urge to blink, but due to the numbing drops and the very brief time my eye had to be open, that wasn't an issue at all. The procedure was not painful in the slightest bit. After a nice 4 hour post surgery nap, I experienced only some minor discomfort and by the next day my eyes felt great. I am thrilled with the results and know that my follow up care will be outstanding based on the quality of care they gave me. Where to begin... The moment you walk in you are greeted by friendly staff and great soft tunes. There was no rush, no pressure, ample explanations to make me feel comfortable with the process. The big day came. They explained what was going to happen. They laid me down after giving me Valium and Vicodin to make me feel comfortable, and then gave me a teddy bear and a blanket, raised feet up, and gave me encouragement and direction of what to do. There were 3 people present in the room and they all were encouraging and would explain anything I was about to feel or hear. The procedure was painless, you felt pressure occasionally during the procedure but it was literally about 120 seconds, so anyone can deal with some pressure and odd feelings for 120 seconds to correct their vision. This leads me to my final point, corrected vision. Oh my gosh, It's hard to put into words 20/20 vision without any metal frames on my face. Its so freeing feeling to wake up and not grab for your glasses or put contacts in. It snowed this morning and I stood in the snow intentionally to look up at it and not have any flakes or water droplets blurring my vision due to them landing on my glasses. I initially scheduled 3 appointments for LASIK consultations to ensure I made the best choice to get this procedure done. I am over a -12 and knew that I may be a higher risk as such. I canceled the first appointment I had made with another surgery center after they scheduled me to come in the very next day and said I could have my procedure done just a few days later (you should be out of contacts for a week, which they did not even address). At the second appointment I made, after taking measurements of my eye, they told me I was not a good candidate and that they could not do LASIK on me. I was disappointed but decided to keep my 3rd appointment which was with Will Vision Clinic. I was pretty much resigned that they would tell me the same thing about not being a candidate but they did not. In fact, Dr. Will assured me that he had done many corrections on other patients with my correction and measurements with good results. Dr. Will has invested in IntraLASIK technology which ensures the most precise and thinnest flap possible. I just had my procedure yesterday morning and am writing this today, I am almost in tears because I am free of my coke bottle glasses and contacts!!! I was VERY scared to get this done. My Grandmother had eye surgery from a "renowned" surgeon for her cataracts one eye got an infection which the doctor would not listen to her and she has lost one eye due to a simple fix to have antibiotics....I was also scared from the fact that you are awake, but the experience was very quick, 18 seconds per eye, and did not hurt just the pressure of each eye cup that was placed onto the eye. I was also scared of the fact that you would see all these movements above your vision, making you jumpy, but once the flap is created, you can only see grey, so nothing to make you jump. I am only 5 days post-op so my close up vision is excellent (I went with mono-vision due to my age-to avoid readers!) My distance is still a little blurry, getting better. I do have halos at night, but nothing to prevent me from driving. And was told my eyes are still healing. I had little to no burning , I kept very well hydrated during the week and day of surgery following his instruction sheet to the T. I am also taking I-Caps and Flax Seed Oil Caps to help with keeping my eyes extra healthy. After 20 years of asking my eye doctor if I would qualify for Lasik surgery, I finally listened to close friends at work and went to visit Dr. Will whom had also performed their surgery. They were thrilled with their results. I was expecting a big "NO" but he told me he could give me 20/20 to 20/25 vision so I immediately scheduled an appointment date. Before surgery, I had terrible vision; and could only see two to three inches away without glasses, horrible astigmatism -- even had prisms in my glasses so my "ultra thin" lens meant 3/8 inch thick. I had close up and distance vision with glasses but very little in-between vision. The office was very friendly and professional. I had my Lasik procedure done a week ago and I am 100% happy. I wish I would have done this earlier. I only checked out Will Vision due to all the positive feedback I received from my friends who used them. Dr. Will has top of the line equipment, which is very reassuring when it comes to your eyes! From the moment I got home to now, my vision has been amazing. The staff and Dr. Will are easy to talk to and they explain everything very clearly. I have to say, for all of those who are putting off this procedure due to fear of lasik, it really isn't that bad. I was terrified to go in, you may say I have "eyephobia". Dr. Will and his team are nothing less than miracle workers! I went back and forth on getting LASIK for over 20 years and finally decided to take the plunge. Their comprehensive exam (free!) was thorough and professional. The day of my surgery I was absolutely terrified, I have generalized anxiety disorder as it is and just the thought of surgery makes me almost hyperventilate. Everyone was so nice and comforting, the nurse walked me through every single thing that was going to happen before we got started and as the surgery went along she was saying "Okay, we're half way done now", "There's just 16 more seconds of this", "You're doing great", etc., etc. The surgery went awesome, seriously like only 2 minutes an eye. Even though my vision was hazy I COULD ALREADY SEE BETTER! It's crazy! I did faint afterwards as I was getting ready to leave. Guess the nerves finally got to me, lol. I just completed my 4 month check up with Dr. Will and couldn't be happier! I had my LASIK surgery for mono vision in March 2001. Before my surgery I couldn't see the clock on the nightstand. It has been nothing short of a miracle to be able to read and drive without classes since then. It was a wonderful experience and I am so thankful for basically a new life. I don't have to worry about loosing a contact. Dr. Will and the staff are awesome. I would absolutely recommend them if you need the surgery. I wanted to add that I liked the fact that they said a prayer before the survey. I had a significant stigmatism and was told by others lasik offices that I wasn't able to have the surgery. My experience at Will Vision has been excellent, from the staff to Dr. Will himself. I was impressed with the professionalism of the office overall. All questions were answered, and even when I had 'further' questions...regarding risks, particularly...the Doctor's patience was admirable. I did not feel I was getting a 'snow job', but rather reassurance in light of my hesitation and fears. I would recommend Will Vision without rservation. There is "only one" Dr. Will; he's the one who does the procedure. The laser technology now includes using laser for the initial part of the procedure, the cutting of the flap over the cornea. I picked Dr. Will because I researched all reviews on Lasik eye Doctors. I wouldn't trust anyone else after my consult. It was very thorough not only that. The staff was amazing! Polite, welcoming and happy! I had my surgery done yesterday. The day of the surgery. I was terrified. While you do get meds; it was the staff that actually made you feel like you were part of their team and together we were going to fix my eyes. I had my follow up this morning. While my left eye is a bit swollen and itchy (will pass). I can say for the first time in over 25 years. I have 20/20 vision. I would recommend Dr. Will and his staff to everyone! Yes you can get coupons for cheaper surgery but I am a firm believer in "you get what you pay for". I can not be happier. read more
