The oven still had oil residue, the fridge and cabinets were dirty, baseboards were dusty, windows had cobwebs, and even the dishwasher and microwave exterior were dirty. Kitchen counters still had brown residue that came off when wiped. Bathrooms were not deep-scrubbed at all, there was still visible grime and rust inside the cabinets. There was no communication from the company when the cleaner arrived or left, no photos of the work, and no follow-up... just a charge for a service that clearly wasn't delivered. We reached out multiple times requesting a refund. This experience left us feeling taken advantage of during an already stressful move. Save yourself the frustration and look elsewhere.

Patrick and Alex spent 7 hours without break deep cleaning every inch of my home, including shelving, cabinets, vents, electric outlets, walls, ceilings, baseboards, and those cleaned-once-in-a-lifetime nooks and crannies. It was the kind of superb detailing work that truly takes 2 professionals the whole day, and I could have never done it on my own in even a week because I would just give up. They brought new cleaning supplies, fresh smelling non-toxic detergent, a powerful vaccum cleaner, and all the equipment needed to reach all those nooks and crannies. At the end of their job, I felt I could finally relax into my new home, and everything was sparkling and new. My building had to tear into a large main wall to see where the water was coming from and if mold had grown within the wall. I was devastated. I went to stay with family while the work was being done, knowing full well I'd be coming home to a major mess I wasn't prepared to deal with. Patrick to the rescue! I called him while the work was being done. He told me to let him know as soon as the work was completed, and he'd be happy to do a walkthrough for me and squeeze me in so I could get home ASAP. He went to my apartment with his assistant and filmed the walkthrough and sent me the videos. It wasn't as bad as I had thought it would be, but it was still a job that would be too much for me to handle on my own. I knew if I hired Patrick, I could just walk back into my apartment as though nothing had happened. And that is EXACTLY what happened! He spent 1 full day and a morning cleaning the place from top to bottom. Everything was put back precisely according to pictures. I had done a lot of covering of closets, etc., because I was scared my building wouldn't do an adequate job. We had left it that he would check whether or not the inside of closets or cabinets needed to be done once he started the job. He was honest and told me those areas were in great shape; no need for him to add on extra work & extra cost. Not many people would be so honest. Patrick is a gem who knows his business. I will always recommend his services and would absolutely use him again (though I'm praying for no more surprises!).

The service is so hit and miss, I would be careful booking with them. Some of the people are great…read morebut the ones that are not will make more work for you to clean up after them. I was using the service for about 2 years and it was good until the person that usually came left the service and said it's because they don't pay them well. Unfortunately everyone after that has been pretty bad. The most recent person (i) broke my oven door (she literally unscrewed it for no reason and didn't tell me she did and then couldn't get it back on so now I have to call someone to fix it and potentially buy a new door, (ii) went into my medicine cabinet to "organize" (there's nothing important in there thankfully but I never asked her to do it and no one has ever tried to do that), (iii) moved a dirty wet mop from under the sink (where she got it) into my clothing closet, and (iv) didn't actually clean the bathroom mirror, toilet, sweep the bathroom floor or vacuum the rug (yet had time to go into personal cabinets and drawers). After she broke the oven door I reached out to the Maid First and they didn't offer to help with anything. They only responded to me after I said they should still charge me the amount because I didn't want them to not pay her (given I've heard from other people who they have sent that they aren't being paid that well). I would suggest using another service that pays people well and provides more consistency.

i'm writing this review to warn current and/or future customers about this company. proceed with…read morecaution. company has poorly run management/customer service. they ignores customer calls/emails regarding legitimate matters. here's what happened: i had almost all makeup that i've purchased over the years in a shopping bag underneath our beverage cabinet to organize it (thousands of dollars worth). the cleaner mistook my bag of makeup, that clearly was not trash, for trash. she threw it all out. i called maidfirst. the manager or owner was dismissive of my concern. later, the cleaner messaged me and my husband, and did admit to accidentally throwing out the bag. in her message, she said that she shouldn't be held responsible since it looked like trash. (it did not look like trash - it was a bag full of makeup...) in my experience, cleaners are typically very conservative about the trash, and don't throw out items that are not in the trash bin or specifically noted... i called maidfirst to inquire about next steps, and no response. called again days later, and they either immediately declined my calls, or blocked my number. i proceeded to email them, and all emails were ignored. screenshots attached.

I appreciated that Demi sent an invoice right at the end of the clean, AND that she texted to let me know the total beforehand, opening a line of communication should there be any issues (there weren't!). She and Martha do an outstanding job and take care and time with the job. JEM will now clean our office every weeknight, put away grocery and office supplies, and run and empty the dishwasher.
