This review is for their new interiors shop only!…read more I stopped in during their opening weekend for the new shop/space on 15th. It's a big space, feels spacious inside and so well decorated. They have a studio space upstairs and a display room + shop downstairs. They have a smaller selection, but great to see options that are from a local small business vs. a big box store. Price ranges are anywhere from $500+ for small furniture pieces and up. Home decor and accessories like candles, frames and art are reasonable, boutique pricing as expected. Love that they have a parking lot as well. I'll definitely keep them in mind for when I'm ready to do some true interior designing.

It's a beautifully-decorated shop, and the customer service lady (I didn't get her name) was super friendly and very welcoming to my husband and I. We didn't need any interior design services at this time, but we had an uplifting browse, and we bought a couple of nice-smelling candles, along with a wick-trimmer. Stopping in to this lovely little shop made our day better. I see here on the yelp page for this business that this business was established in 2014, however, when I asked the customer service lady when they'd opened, she told me that they'd opened in February of this year! I thought that was gutsy because I hadn't known this business existed before today, so I got the mistaken impression that the business was brand new. Perhaps she meant that this particular location opened in February 2021. In any case, I wish them all the luck, and I thank them for bringing a cheerful and uplifting experience to my day today! I would definitely go back if I was in the area.

Valeri, who was running the shop on this day, and is one of the artists, (how cool is that?) was very helpful and informative. This is a new location - they are originally located in Orcas Island. They plan to have classes and/or a workshop in this location soon.

The most interesting shop in Ballard you never noticed!…read more Located just off the main drag in Ballard, this location is central and convenient. There is a lot of parking, though there is some sketchy street activity (rvs etc) in that area. This would be an incredibly fun place to shop if you were decorating a home or business... they have mass amounts of light fixtures, windows, doors, hearths, door knobs... plus a section of furniture. And by furniture I mean in any form. Old restaurant booths and stools, large armoires, nice old solid wood pieces. I was hoping to find some local or retro Seattle art, and it was a little sparse today, though I expect it gets picked through frequently. Will definitely come browse again in the future.

They have everything from rescued building and garden materials, to used appliances, furniture, art, and a wide assortment of lighting, plumbing fixtures, tools, hardware, and interesting bric-a-brac. The store is well organized and clean, with a large outdoor area in the back for things like garden tools, tubs, and used toilets. Inside, there's a massive garage-like area with all sorts of doors, furnishings, shelving, and just plain interesting odds and ends. In the main building are shelves, bins, and racks of...well, pretty much anything. The thrift never stops giving here, and even though it's a bit off the beaten path in Ballard, it's worth the drive (especially if you like to combine your trip with a visit to Ballard's beer zone, which is conveniently surrounding this shop). Prices here seem to be all over the place, so don't come expecting an amazing bargain (though, there are a few to be had if you dig deeply enough). There's a small parking area in front, with plenty of street parking nearby. And the staff have always been friendly during my visits.

She offers personalized printing with a method that originated in the early 1800s. She showed me how to create my own card from a picture I carved out of a linoleum block. I didn't have experience carving, nor any artistic talent, but she guided me and it turned out beautiful. She also helped me mix an ink into a beautiful turquoise color. We have just come back a second time and she is helping my boyfriend create his own customized business card. I've taken "intro to wheel" classes multiple times at a couple locations. I think Tommy spent the absolute longest time on centering that I've ever had! I was bored during the class because of that, but then when we finally got to shaping the pottery, it was AMAZING what a difference that makes! Also other details that Tommy shared that I didn't know-- needing the clay to be dry at some point so that it doesn't fall apart, instead of constantly needing to wet it like we did at the beginning-- got me to create in my experience the best little bowl I've ever made ;_; I'm so excited for what it'll look like once it's given back to us in a couple more weeks!
