I had been on the waitlist for a few weeks before receiving the call that her new groomer Rachel was available. Prior to SoraBelle's appointment we received personalized messages that included reminders and pics for my groomer in prep for SoraBelle's first cut. I did not get to do the initial meet-n-greet with Rachel due to out of state travel but the hubby reassured me the drop off went really good. The feedback was Rachel seemed knowledgeable, attentive and excited to meet SoraBelle; getting on the floor for a proper hello. My feedback on Rachel during the pickup validated everything I was told. Rachel did a phenomenal job! This is the best groom that SoraBelle's received. Not sure what happened in the truck but our happy dog is not hiding under the table fearful always. The guy who came to do the grooming seem to have beat him or scared him so much that he is scared always and is just scared of every little noise. If you touch him his first instinct is that someone is hitting him. He hasnt gotton on a bed or couch since the grooming with this person. Our dog loves couches and beds and now he is scared of heights and people. We DO NOT RECOMMEND this business or service. I forgive you guys for everything ! My poor doggie is having a hard time…read more He is a purebred dog, bred to be a potential show dog, so he's beautiful. Long, fluffy coat; glistening eyes that stare straight into your soul; proportionate everything. On every walk, people comment on how beautiful he is. There have been people who are driving by and slam on their brakes, back up and roll down their window, just to tell my doggie how gorgeous he is. Kids love him at the playground. He regularly has birds and squirrels visit him at the front door. Well, he has some allergies, which are causing hot spot to develop on his body, which are causing his fur to fall out. He has two big spots of missing fur that are very noticeable. He looks a mess right now. He also had an ear infection, so he had to have ointment placed in his ears for a week, so his face is all oily. Like I said, a mess. And I could tell he was feeling like a mess, too, because he hasn't been getting any compliments. He's feeling low. So we booked an appointment with Josie at Door-to-Door Dog Grooming to get him cleaned up and hopefully feeling a little better. We booked with Josie specifically because she said on her website that she has experience working with older and medically fragile dogs. My dog is neither, but he has special needs right now because of his hot spots, and needs someone who will gently groom around them. Josie did an amazing job! She arrived right when she said she would, was patient and kind with my dog, and he came out of the mobile van smelling and looking great. He was fluffy and pretty, and his hot spots were tenderly groomed around. It took around two hours from start to finish, but this was a way quicker time than taking him to the brick-and-mortar groomer that he usually sees. It cost a little more than his normal groomer, but his case was special and required more attention to detail, so it makes sense. I would recommend Door-to-Door Dog Grooming to anyone who needs their dog to be groomed, but especially if they have a dog with special requirements.

The tail was not matted, and I told her I did not want the tail shaved and to just leave it alone and not trim it at all. She yelled at me, "Come get your dog now!" She actually threw my dog out just because I told her not to trim my dog's tail. This extreme inflexibility and hostility toward me and the fact that they now require clients to book their pets no more than 8 weeks apart, are conclusive evidence that this business does not prioritize customer desires and needs. I'm glad I found out what these people are like. My dog deserves better. I would give this business a minus rating if I could. The owner of Bark at the Moon gave a hostile and unprofessional response to my review and is further proof that this business is not interested in understanding or resolving problems. Here is my response: You have been waiting for my review? I'll bet you HAVE been because you aren't businesspeople. You are bullies! The fact that you want to argue about this proves that you do not know how to run a business. There are so many untruths and exaggerations in your response. How I spoke to YOU? On the phone, you brusquely stated that you were going to shave my dog's tail. You didn't ask whether I approved or offer to discuss it. I tried to let you off the hook by saying don't trim her tail at all. You then yelled at me to come get my dog and hung up the phone. Your demeanor was unacceptable. There was no previous warning or discussion about matting (I had been a customer for more than a year), and I would never have accepted a future appointment with you had I received such a threat that you would shave my dog. I brush my dog regularly, and her tail was not matted. The fact is you don't know how to deal with a Bichon's cottony, fine fur. You say you don't brush out a tail you consider matted (it was NOT matted). I didn't ask you to brush it or do anything to it. I said don't touch the tail. Don't trim it at all! But you didn't let it rest at that. Instead, you threw my dog out. I did NOT swear at any employee. After you called me, I came back expecting to pick up my dog without incident, and your husband, whom you had called in while I was on my way, greeted me in a belligerent manner, ordered me to pay for an unfinished grooming, and threatened to call the police. It is not your place to judge customers on how they care for their pets, especially when you don't know what you're talking about. Your last statement that you will not do what the owner wishes if it will harm the pet (based of course on your opinion only), says all one needs to know about you. I told you NOT to trim her tail at all, so I did not ask you to do anything that could harm her. Surely even your confused mind can understand that not touching her tail does no harm.

We moved from AZ/SD and typically would wash him at my parents vet hospital. We washed him with the shampoo provided, rinsed and dried him. All seemed great till 3 days after he had a huge bacterial infection all over his skin!!! After speaking with my parents (veterinarians) and doing a skin scrape we believe it was contracted from the refill shampoo bottles not being properly sanitized between clients plus having diluted soap sit in them for 24 hours or more. For $17 and a giant infection that needs antibiotics even 3 weeks after going and contracting this I do not recommend the washing stations.
