This was our first experience at 2 Mutts and a Wiener. My husband was driving around one afternoon and happened upon this small shop. Their located off of 62nd Street and LaPas Trail east of Georgetown Rd. After learning more about the groomers and seeing a relaxed atmosphere he made an appointment. We took Baxter, our Tennessee Treeing Brindle Hound, in first for grooming on Friday at 1:00 p.m. He's a short hair dog so hair trimming wasn't required. What he did need was a good bath and all the other luxuries offered. When we arrived Joe greeted us immediately. After reviewing Baxter's vaccination records and learning a little more about Baxter he was ready to take him back. For safety reasons, current vaccination records are required, they accept all breeds but they do not accept out of state pets. They recommend you not wait on your pet in the shop so the pet can focus on the groomer. Baxter appeared very comfortable with Joe and the surroundings, which was incredibly important, so I felt less anxious leaving him. Because Baxter wasn't familiar with these folks and this wasn't a routine visit they said they'd proceed slowly as not to traumatize him. He was scared since he rarely is lifted up because he's 65 lbs and bulky plus he's not a fan of a nail trim or blow drying but he enjoyed the bath, warm water and the massaging. All-in-all things we already knew were uncomfortable for him in the past. No surprise growling, snapping or biting reactions just pure fear of lifting. Joe said give them two hours and he'd call 20 minutes ahead of pickup time. I did start to worry when he hadn't called by 4:00 but I assumed they didn't start right at 1:00. Since it was later than I expected I had my husband pick Baxter up on his way home from work. Joe provided feedback and discussed his experience with my husband. He arrived home with his Halloween bandana on, happy, excited with a shiny coat and much fresher. We'll most likely return to have our Whippet/Beagle mix groomed in the near future. Again, I can't speak to the trimming quality since our dogs are short haired. Give them a call for an appointment if you're looking for a groomer in a relaxed atmosphere.

If I could give them 6 stars I would. They meticulously take care of my 5 dogs, even my grumpy girl who hates her nails being trimmed. Our small rescue chihuahua who has a medical issue, is always given the utmost of time, care, and love while at their shop. Everyone comes home looking fabulous, even the ones with difficult coats. They have taken the time to learn about our breed and are dedicated to educating their clients on taking the best care of their dogs. Their adorable photos are an added bonus, including the ones of my recently departed heart dog. Thank you for all you do!

My husband and I have been searching high and low for a new groomer for our furbaby. We usually take her to petsmart, but haven't been happy with the results of her previous cuts. I've always noticed this business while getting my nails done at the shop next door to them and finally decided to give them a call....SO GLAD I DID! I can't thank them enough for grooming her, this is the best she has ever looked!!

We love this groomer! They have great, friendly service and it's obvious that they really care for furry friends. Booking an appointment is always easy and you can just text them or send a message on Facebook. Most importantly, Belle is aggressive with other dogs so it's harder to find a groomer that will accept her. Two Mutts and a Wiener welcomed her right in and always makes time for an appointment with her. Belles trim, deshedding, and wash/blow-dry is under $50 and she is around 60 pounds. It usually takes about an hour and a half. We actually moved out of Indy and into Hamilton County recently, but we still make the drive there! Thank you for taking such good care of our sweet girl that struggles with socialization!

Their grooming abilities are amazing!!! We have a standard poodle who hates her paws being touched but Amy and Ariana take their time and help Bonnie feel comfortable! We are always pleased with Amy's work and their kindness towards our girl.

Never met anyone the loves dogs like she does! We won't take our fur babies anywhere else! She does a wonderful job at a very affordable cost! My babies came back looking like they could be show dogs!!!! Thank you for loving my babies and doing such a beautiful job on them!

Love this place, love Ariane, and love that my dog walked in like he owned the place ( he's very scared of everything).

I wanted a smaller establishment that would provide SoraBelle with a more intimate experience verses treating her like a random number. I had been on the waitlist for a few weeks before receiving the call that her new groomer Rachel was available. Prior to SoraBelle's appointment we received personalized messages that included reminders and pics for my groomer in prep for SoraBelle's first cut. I did not get to do the initial meet-n-greet with Rachel due to out of state travel but the hubby reassured me the drop off went really good. The feedback was Rachel seemed knowledgeable, attentive and excited to meet SoraBelle; getting on the floor for a proper hello. My feedback on Rachel during the pickup validated everything I was told. Rachel did a phenomenal job! This is the best groom that SoraBelle's received. We are booked out for the remainder of the year!

I knew there were a few mats, so I understood that the cut might be a bit involved. However, the experience didn't quite live up to what I expected. The groomer who was supposed to handle him was running late, and the rest of the staff didn't seem especially engaged or empathetic about what they knew would be a drastic change for my dog. They gave him what they called a "naked look". When they brought him out I honestly thought they brought a different dog out. I did not recognize him at all. I was in shock. Again the staff did not show any empathy and only asked when do you wanna set up the next appointment? Like what? He's has NO hair.... While I knew his mats would require extra care, I still felt that $109 was too much, especially since they went straight for the "completely bald" approach. Instead of feeling like a personalized experience for my dog's needs, it felt like they were focused on making extra money. I would not recommend this place. If the owner is reading may I suggest, charging less for a "naked look" and then suggesting that we set up an appointment so we can get the cut we really want. I get that we have to start over, but come on...

A couple of people suggested this place but that it was hard to get into... nonetheless we decided to book when she started opening up appointment slots for new clients. We did a 1 hr trim up. Britt was absolutely amazing. She showed what she would do, and she exceeded expectations. What we like is that she works with one client at a time. Her salon was inviting, per my fiancée, and the nails have never looked better on our dog. We 10/10 will come back. After the experience he had before at the other place, our doodle was understandably skittish when he got to Bark. At the end of it, he was as calm as can be.

It's all handled via text. So typically where my dog previously went I would have to make time to call, most times they didn't answer so I had to leave a message and wait hours for them to call me back. With Bark, you send a text message along with a photo of your pet and your desired day and time. She responds within a short time and provides suggested dates. You even upload your vaccination records via email so when you arrive everything is there. Once my appointment was made (the very next week). It is located right off Fallcreek and Central. A pretty busy intersection but there is plenty of parking right in front of the salon. When I walked in she was right there with a big smile on her face to greet me. She was super excited to see my pup which as an owner makes you feel really good. She confirmed the type of cut I wanted and let me know it would be a couple of hours and she would call when ready. One thing that I LOVE is that they aren't in crates while they are waiting. She has a gate and a couch they can relax on until it's their turn or until they are picked up. Love that! As she said, she was done in about 2 hours and the result was fantastic! My pup never looked so good! Her fur was super soft and she smelled amazing. Her ears and tail were just as I hoped for. Her face was perfect. Just a really really good job. Very impressed by her grooming skills for sure! The only negative is the pricing is a bit higher than what I am used to paying by about $30, so I will have to weigh the cost vs the end result and my pups experience which means...we will be back!
