I am a new dog owner and I took my toy poodle for his first grooming, so this was a big moment! He was due for a good cut since he came in with lots of fluffy hair. I knew there were a few mats, so I understood that the cut might be a bit involved. However, the experience didn't quite live up to what I expected. The groomer who was supposed to handle him was running late, and the rest of the staff didn't seem especially engaged or empathetic about what they knew would be a drastic change for my dog. They gave him what they called a "naked look". When they brought him out I honestly thought they brought a different dog out. I did not recognize him at all. I was in shock. Again the staff did not show any empathy and only asked when do you wanna set up the next appointment? Like what? He's has NO hair.... While I knew his mats would require extra care, I still felt that $109 was too much, especially since they went straight for the "completely bald" approach. Instead of feeling like a personalized experience for my dog's needs, it felt like they were focused on making extra money. I would not recommend this place. If the owner is reading may I suggest, charging less for a "naked look" and then suggesting that we set up an appointment so we can get the cut we really want. My SoraBelle had her first spa day with Rachel today. The entire crew at Platinum Paws did an AMAZING job! I had been in search for that perfect groomer for months. I wanted a smaller establishment that would provide SoraBelle with a more intimate experience verses treating her like a random number. I had been on the waitlist for a few weeks before receiving the call that her new groomer Rachel was available. Prior to SoraBelle's appointment we received personalized messages that included reminders and pics for my groomer in prep for SoraBelle's first cut. I did not get to do the initial meet-n-greet with Rachel due to out of state travel but the hubby reassured me the drop off went really good. The feedback was Rachel seemed knowledgeable, attentive and excited to meet SoraBelle; getting on the floor for a proper hello. My feedback on Rachel during the pickup validated everything I was told. Rachel did a phenomenal job! This is the best groom that SoraBelle's received. This is probably the cleanest my dog has ever been after going to the groomer. This was our first time using Platinum Paws and Marky was my dogs groomer. I can tell my dog loved her groomer because of how happy she was when I picked her up. That was not the case with the last few groomers, which is why I did my research and found Platinum Paws. I can tell my dogs coat was very well brushed and deshedded, and her teeth and ears are squeaky clean. I read reviews & decided to give Platinum Paws a whirl...salon is about 10 minutes from my new home. Staff members are very friendly, well-informed & so organized. The salon is meticulously clean, as well. My yorkie looks beautiful after her Platinum Paws grooming & I couldn't be more pleased. The other bonus is that the groomer is quick...usually finished within 2-3 hours! Additionally, the cost is comparable to what I was paying at the previous downtown salon. I'd give 5 , but we had one small issues at our 2nd groom for one of our dogs. It's never happened again. They're great with our 12 y/o labradoodle who doesn't like anyone...and our 2 y/o goldendoodle who is just happy to be wherever he lands. Markey is accommodating, prompt and I don't feel like my dogs sit there all day...which is great. The dogs look super sweet when done and their nails are perfect. read more

If you have ever had to drag your dog into a groomer on their 2nd or 3rd visit, or worse, had them panic once they were there, you know how it feels to question your decision to use a groomer. HOWEVER, when I take my pup to Platinum Paws, she is happy to go in every time, happy to greet them, and she loves Markie her groomer. It's the kind of thing that will make you cry happy tears. The staff and Markie clearly treat her well consistently and make her feel safe. It's pricey, but they always do a great job, they keep my standard poodle looking her best, and somehow they are quite quick about it! Love them! read more

Today I went into Platinum Paws with my daughter who is one year old seeking an new diet for my dog who has cancer. As soon as I walked in I was greeted by a wonderful woman who instantly took my daughter under her wing to show her the pups getting groomed. We then started the conversation on what all I was looking for and I was kind of lost in a sense of what route I needed to go. She called for the owner to come personally talk to me about what diet would be best for him. The owner and I then discussed brands and types of food before I chose a new raw diet for my dog (all while this wonderful woman I spoke of earlier, was entertaining and chasing my daughter around the store having the time of her life.) I was hesitant to purchase due to my dog being picky but he reassured me that if my dog was not a fan, I could come back in and he would make it right. My dogs cancer journey has been rough to say the least with no one wanting to help him due to the stage of his cancer and experiencing unprofessionalism that you'd never in a million years think you'd encounter with such a sensitive situation but this interaction today, almost brought me to my knees. I could not thank Platinum Paws enough for treating me with such great kindness and steering me in the right direction. I will forever be grateful I stumbled across your business! read more

Platinum Paws is the greatest. They have groomed Royal for the last three years and no matter which groomer does him, he comes home happy and handsome. I can take him in the car with no leash on that busy street and he runs to enter the building and see Kathy. We've been taking our 2, now 8 month old Yorkies here since we were able to bring them home for nail trims and what not. neither no bigger than 5 lbs. I will admit one is pretty dramatic, but when They come out and say "we'll do this one but not the other, this one is too dramatic". He's just a scared little dog, unsure of himself. They went on to suggest taking all 4 lbs of him to the vet to be sedated FOR A NAIL TRIM Unreal..... it's not like he's changed in any regard since the very first time. I would certainly expect had there then an actually issue, it would take far less than 6 months to say something. RUDE! I'll happily take my business to another local business. Just had our first visit with my two shih tzus, quite overdo since we just moved here and were waiting to get in. Amber was our groomer and I am thrilled. My 14.5 year old has been looking kind of rough the last two years, being groomed in a different state. Thought it was just age. But she looks years younger today! And I am sure she feels great too!
