Landscaping can be…read morea stressful project, but Ray made the process so much easier with great communication and genuinely excellent customer service. Felvin was equally wonderful to work with. He took the time to understand what we were hoping for, had great design ideas, and was incredibly patient and flexible as we made changes throughout the project. The end result turned out even better than we imagined, and you can tell he really cares about the quality of his work. We're so happy with how everything came together and would absolutely recommend them to anyone looking for a landscaping team that's talented, easy to work with, and takes pride in what they do.

Purchased 3 Piñon Pine trees a couple years ago from FRL&N. One of the trees died this spring. I…read moredrove to FRL&N today to inquiry about the dead tree knowing I was beyond their 1-year warranty so not expecting their help on that front but mostly trying to gain knowledge. I was asked by one of the employees if I wanted to buy another tree to which I responded that I wasn't sure. At this point the owner (Hubert) entered the conversation and explained that these are hearty trees that thrive in the deserts of New Mexico. After a few questions he told me "if you want to talk, then take a walk. If you want a tree then see me". After confirming that he said to take a walk I expressed that is a heck of an attitude to which he told me the F-off and then threatened to "put a boot up my a**". I have never experienced any such negative attitudes from any employees I have interacted with in the past but this owner really should not be the face of this business. FRL&N is not a low cost source of landscape trees and I am sorry that I spent $3k+ on this trip of pinon pines. As for me, FRL&N will never see another dime from me and I hope no one else ever experiences the rude treatment I received today.

When I moved to Colorado last summer I was in awe of the well kept manicured green lawns that everyone in my neighborhood had. Having really no in depth experience on how to maintain a healthy lawn I was really anxious as the winter chill left and spring began to green everything up. I had arrangements with another company but they flaked...absolutely flaked, so I reached out to Brandon more or less in panic mode as I did want my yard to get past the point of help as summer approached. Brandon responded to my inquiry on the same day as I made it and we agreed to a visit within a couple of days. He showed up on time, couldn't haver been nicer and most importantly for me... he was so patient with me and answered all my questions and concerns. Later that evening he sent me a thorough proposal with fair and reasonable pricing. I approved the estimate and within a few days Brandon was out in the yard doing a ton of weeding, mowing, feeding and trimming. My yard already looks better and I'm sure within a few weeks it will be on par with all the other beautiful yards in my neighborhood. Thanks again Brandon!!

Unfortunately, they fell far short. The following is a list of the shortcomings as we experienced them: 1) Multiple attempts to get the imaging of our home and surrounding properties for the initial design and consultation phase. The technician that came to the property had to be here three times before they got all the measures and images correct - in the end, they did not get the existing/remaining plantings in the drawings. 2) The design did not consider the topography and drainage needs. We had to demand a review of the property to get them on board. 3) The design consultation was held on Zoom - no problem there. We had to send the design back several times before they incorporated all of the elements we asked for. We did not ever land on a "wonderful" design and they still have not provided a comprehensive plan including irrigation needs and the existing elements of our landscape that would not be adjusted. 4) When we asked for the delivery of designs that met the promised criterion, they tried to collect more money. They considered the times we had to send the plans back due to their mistakes, a part of the revisions. 5) They were regularly slow to respond to email - it took all summer to get our plans in hand. 6) The plan is nothing outstanding - it's a pretty boring plan without achieving the look and feel we described in our multiple meetings. It was as though they did not want to hear what we were asking for. I do not recommend this company for design services. We remain dissatisfied and do not feel this was a good value for our investment.

LCM Landscape & Design - Waterfall swimming pond at night.

I wan to start out by saying the interaction with the people in the company were pleasant however,…read morethe outcome was not. I hired LCM Outdoor Living to perform what they quoted as a "Full Water Feature Clean Out" for my pondless waterfall at a cost of $1,608.92. Before scheduling the work, I explained that I had recently purchased a home with an existing water feature that needed a thorough spring cleaning and start-up. The written quote described the service as including inspection and cleaning of the equipment, power washing the feature, checking water quality, ensuring proper filtration, adding beneficial bacteria, and, most importantly, "one thorough cleaning, which includes the complete cleaning of the pond, removal of debris, and deep cleaning of all pond equipment." When the crew arrived, they drained the water, pressure washed the exposed surfaces, added beneficial bacteria, refilled the pond, and left. I was told the cloudy water would clear within a few days, which it did. Unfortunately, the water then turned a deep orange only days after the cleaning. When I contacted the company, I was initially told the discoloration might be caused by well water. I explained that my home is not on well water. Wanting to understand the issue myself, I researched common causes of orange pond water. One commonly cited cause was decomposing pine needles, pine cones, and organic debris. I went outside, moved several of the loose rocks that the water flows over, and found large amounts of pine needles, cones, and other debris trapped underneath them. This was surprising considering I had paid over $1,600 for what was described as a complete clean-out with debris removal. The same technician returned to inspect the pond. He first suggested the rocks themselves might be causing the discoloration and later suggested a small amount of rust on one of the filter brushes. To test that theory, I placed the brush in a clear pitcher of water. It did not discolor the water. When I showed him the debris hidden beneath the rocks, he told me their crews are instructed not to move rocks when cleaning because they could damage the liner if the rocks were glued down. That explanation didn't make sense in my situation because the crew had already moved rocks during the service to cover exposed liner. More importantly, the company's own contract specifically states that the service includes "complete cleaning of the pond" and "removal of debris." In my opinion, leaving significant amounts of debris beneath the rocks where the water flows does not meet that description. Afterward, I contacted the salesperson who prepared my estimate, hoping the company would either offer to correct the work or provide some type of adjustment given that the contracted work did not appear to match what was performed. Instead, I was told the technician had been correct and that they simply do not move rocks during cleanings. At that point, it became clear that my expectations and the company's definition of a "full clean-out" were very different. To me, water that turns orange within days because debris was left behind is not a successful deep cleaning, regardless of whether the water is technically clear. I understand that every company has its own methods, but I believe prospective customers should clearly ask what "complete cleaning" and "debris removal" actually include before agreeing to this service. Based on my experience, those terms did not match the work that was ultimately performed. I cannot recommend this service. I feel I paid a premium price for work that did not meet the written description, and I left feeling that I could have purchased the necessary equipment and achieved a more thorough result myself for much less.

We spent about 45 minutes just getting to know him and discussed the different options that might be available. Prior to moving to Denver 18 years ago we had a Coy pond in the back yard and we definitely missed the sound of water and the sereneness of the water feature. This time we were considering something with less maintenance that we could enjoy but not have the regular maintenance. Landon worked with us on a pondless water feature that would give us what we were looking for. We had some unique circumstances that would affect the project so Landon came to the house to survey the surroundings and helped us work on the placement. He then came up with a digital rendition that we could use as a starting point. We next scheduled an early June start date as we wanted to be able to enjoy the project this year. As promised Landon was here on time and brought a great crew to work with. His team was very conscientious of our pets and made sure to secure the property each day. We live in an HOA community and his clean up each day was amazing, if not for his trucks in the day time you would have never known he was here in the evening. The project came in on budget and Landon went above and beyond to make sure we were happy with the end result. The final project is amazing and we are enjoying it everyday. There are many Landscapers out their that say they can provide you with similar options but I challenge they can compare to LCM!!! I would post pictures but they do not do the project justice so here is a link to the video on Facebook. https://www.facebook.com/landon.malave/videos/751723105974630
