I'll start with the good here, the coaches are very friendly and encouraging and the other members are also lovely. That's why I wanted to join initially and they even gave me a free trial period! This gym was pretty far from me about 25 minutes but I still made the trip 3x a week because of how friendly everyone is and what an awesome workout I had. Unfortunately, I had a family emergency and couldn't attend one month but one of the owners Tiffany was so understanding and kind and offered me credits for the rest of the year - so awesome! Tiffany along with the other coaches are amazing and gives such great pointers during classes. I experienced a totally different energy when I approached Tiffany's husband to cancel (also an owner). Mind you you have to approach a coach to cancel which doesn't make any sense. Especially when I felt like I was met with aggression and the whole interaction was extremely uncomfortable given his tone and attitude towards me. I wanted to cancel because I was moving farther away and didn't want to drive 30+ minutes with these gas prices. Totally understandable but no I felt I was berated by him when he told me I'd regret it, I'm making a mistake, I don't understand the premise of CrossFit and I'm totally missing the point. His opinion was completely unnecessary regarding my choice to cancel and I don't see myself ever returning to use my credits due to this unnecessarily aggressive interaction. To top it all off they never canceled my membership and I was charged again this month. Ultimately, my review would've been 5 stars if I didn't have such a bad time canceling. Really would've thought that one of the owners would hold themselves to a higher standard of behavior. It's unfortunate because outside of this interaction I feel like they really care about their members you're not just a number or dollar signs. I think that's where his heart was but it doesn't give anyone the right to express themselves the way he did there are many other ways to tell someone you're disappointed to see them cancel and hope to see them in the future. read more

This gym is amazing. I came from NC looking for a new gym and after searching for a while wildfire was the right gym for me . The classes are amazing and the people are extremely friendly. This gym is perfect for new people to crossfit or long time goers. I really enjoy the variety of classes as they have daily classes but also specialty classes such as olympic lifting, gymnastics, or mobility. I'm glad to have found this amazing gym! read more

I started working out here for a boot camp in June 2019 and have been going ever since. The coaches are excellent and are good about pushing you to your limits while also encouraging you. Needless to say, this is the longest I've ever attended a Crossfit gym! I've always wanted to do Crossfit, but wasn't really sure which one until a friend recommended Wildfire; whom is also a trainer here (Laura). I took her up for it and went in first thing the following week. Ever since that day, I have not missed a week which goes to say; Wildfire Crossfit is a very inviting gym. From the prospective of an outsider, there was nothing "douchey" about this place neither were there hardcore crossfitters screaming in your face to force you to do things you can't (Youtube - Your Crossfit Friends (Hardly Working). The trainers here are very knowledgeable and motivating. We focus on a lot on the basic movements and form to make sure we don't injure ourselves. After a week my shoulders were so sore to a point where I couldn't do any shoulder workouts, but Skip, one of the trainers showed me how to properly stretch and also modified my workout for the week to help me recover. Much appreciated to know they were able to accommodate what you can and can't do. I run marathons and they are fully aware of it so when the time comes I generally taper off my workouts. Aside from the friendly trainers, attendees at this gym comes from all walks of life; working professionals, college students, mothers, fathers, young and old. There seems to be a diverse crowd and they all pitch-in to cheer you on to finish your WOD (Workout of the Day). My most despised days are WOD's named with female names (i.e. Helen, Sally, etc....) cause you'll get to know them and it'll kick you booty good and right.....right to the ground! read more

After trying to find the right crossfit gym, I finally came in to Wildfire to check it out. Walking in, I was very intimidated. I had seen crossfit events on TV and thought, wow these athletes are strong, they're amazing, I could never do that. Ofcourse anyone new to crossfit feels like the new kid in school. Everyone knows who you are and you don't know how they feel about you. You dont know if you will be judged. But here at Wildfire I felt so welcome and encouraged. Not once did I feel I did not belong. That was 18 months ago. And I'm still loving every second. I have seen and continue to see amazing results, physically and mentally. I always underestimated my strength, but the coaches and community at Wildfire encourage you to do your best in a safe manner. They take their time to teach you the basic movements of each skill. Never have I felt rushed or pushed to do something I couldn't do. Always at my own speed. I am never forced to keep up with a fellow athlete who has been crossfitting longer than I. But it is good motivation to be surrounded by the more experienced athletes. I highly encourage anyone looking to lead a more healthy, active lifestyle, to take that first step through the Wildfire doors. I'm a 47 year old woman who has been relatively fit (or so I thought), having done regular BodyPump classes 3x week plus running 3x week, for several years. But I wanted to increase my functional fitness, so 20 months ago I decided to check out CrossFit. Best decision I ever made. I picked WildFire for its reputation of great coaching, as I knew I'd need to learn proper form. From the first time I walked into the box, I've been greeted by positive coaches and I've been surrounded by smiling, friendly athletes. The coaching IS incredible, especially Coach Kern, as they always make sure you are executing every single movement safely and properly. The owners, Skip and Tiff, are fantastic as well. There are very few egos and lots of encouraging cheering in this CF box. While the coaches never focus on what our bodies look like, and instead focus on what our bodies can do, I've been pleasantly surprised by how much better I look and also how I feel. I'm not a morning person but I literally jump out of bed every morning to get to the 5:15 A.M. Express CrossFit classes and I also love the Saturday Endurance class at 630 A.M. Saturdays. About 10 months ago, I took a huge step and tried something new at the ripe age of 46. I have never done Crossfit before in my life. I was very nervous and did know anything or anyone going in. I took full advantage of the 1 free week offered and was very excited to be learning a lot of new things. The coaches made me feel very welcome and were open to all of the questions I had. I am happy to say that I am now the strongest I have ever been in life. I am continuing to make gains in the weight I am lifting but also improving my form and technique. I was a long distance runner and decided to join crossfit because one of my classmates did it and she was obsessed. Now I see why. This gym has one of the best communities I have ever experienced. Within the first two weeks I felt like I've known the members for years. The workouts always kick my butt, but I keep coming back for more. There are plenty of seminars on nutrition, form, oly lifting and clinics. The equipment is great and it's growing, as well as the community! I'm now leaving for college and I'm sad I have to leave my gym. I'm not sure I'll find another community like the one at Wildfire. First off just let me say my father was a competitive/ professional weight lifter and as such he has always been very specific about form and technique. That being said, when I first began CrossFit he was concerned that I would be joining a "box" that was "all competition without care for safety ". Needless to say, his fears regarding WildFire were misconstrued. The coaches at WildFire take every care to ensure safety and form. This isn't to say that they go "easy" on you...these coaches will push you to your utmost potential as you evolve towards your fitness goals. Whether those goals are to compete, lose weight, gain muscle, or just get healthy, they provide the tools and motivation to help you do your best. One thing that my husband and I value more than anything about WildFire is the community. It is one big happy family. One concern I had before starting was that it would be clicky or that people would be judgemental. Not here! We were warmly welcomed by all...in fact first timers normally receive applause :) Ever since, we have been part of the WildFire family and have made lasting friendships with other positive people. The gym is very kid friendly...our daughter runs to the door every morning after breakfast so excited to head over to CrossFit. There is an enclosed kid area to side where she can be seen and play. Like I said I could go on on how fabulous WildFire's community and coaches are but to wrap it up let me just say that as a result of WildFire CrossFit I have lost 10% of stubborn post baby fat and have made huge gains in my fitness level. Such as increasing my deadlift by 25lbs in just three weeks! Not to mention being able to run again without stopping every two seconds... I've been going to Wildfire Crossfit for over a year and half at the time of writing the post and my experience has been GREAT. I was not much into gym fitness much before joining here. Hence, my skills abilities and endurance was below average. Over the period of time I improved in all aspects, with the help of trained coaches here. This place delivers results! I started out at Wildfire six weeks ago with no previous CrossFit experience; I hadn't even been to a gym in over three years. Skip, Tiff and the other coaches took the time to make sure I was doing the exercises properly, safely and at a level of difficulty that matched my abilities. Great CrossFit gym! I was visiting Phoenix for business and spent my one night in town at Wildfire. I had such a great experience. I am kind of a crossfit addict now. As I was planning my vacation out in Phoenix I figured I might as well find a crossfit box while I was out here. After emails around and researching the web, and coming across a friend of a friend that is a member here, I decided to go to my first team WOD class. I have yet to go to a team WOD class at my own box. This was pretty cool because I was it was free class day and time, and my friend got to come along as well. The box is awesome because there is a play area for kids and they have kids events. There is also a fridge in which you are able to buy fresh grass fed meats, and produce! They also offer Reebok Crossfit items at a discount. This place has a supportive environment and dedication to the sport. Some of the coaches went to see the games in LA, and the coaches themselves are pretty fantastic! I felt very welcomed and encouraged to participate. It was so much fun that my friend and I came back a couple days later, and I got my friend to get a membership here and has become hooked on crossfit. These days CrossFit boxes are on just about every corner. The thing is most CrossFit boxes don't welcome every walk of life, every body type, every level of fitness, every health challenge, and every age group. Wildfire does exactly that! Sounds too good to be true but that's what drew me in since I was too intimidated by the other CrossFit boxes in the area and have my own health challenges. I called and went in for a test run and determined that Bootcamp was a good fit for me to start. The commanders are amazing and can scale everything to fit your needs. There's no feeling of "I'm not able to keep up with everyone else" and you're definitely not just a member, you're truly family. I loved it so much I did two Bootcamps and then felt strong enough to move onto the CrossFit classes. Wildfire is amazing and highly recommended! read more

I started coming to Wildfire 2 months ago and have had nithing but positive experiences. Skip and Tiffany really take pride in their gym. In fact I've never seen anyone clean as often as they do. As someone who's been a member of two other crossfit gyms I'm really liking the way they change up their programming. It forces members to really broaden their skills whether you've been doing it for several years or are brand new they do an excellent job making the workouts appropriate to all fitness levels. My favorite part has definitely been the programming and the community. Now a days everyone has a crossfit gym. However a lot of places lack a community of members that really enjoy working out with one another and push each other. The class schedule is Amazing! They are pretty much open all the time...even on Sundays. Initially I thought I would just be attending open gym and doing my own thing but the 12pm class allows me to squeeze in a class during my break. All of the members and coaching staff have been positive and encouraging. If you're in the market for a crossfit gym I highly reccomend trying out Wildfire! read more

I moved to Arizona from New York about 3 years ago. It was a long overdue move and I assumed that with my outgoing personality it would be a piece of cake. It was a piece of cake...and another...and another....and so on. I was having trouble adjusting. I missed my family, friends, and fitness peeps back home. I tried everything I could think of to get myself back on track. I joined a Muay Thai gym for a few months. I joined a "bells and whistles" gym for another few months. I worked out to DVD's such as Beachbody's T25, Les Mils Combat and Les Mills Pump. While I'm not knocking any of these programs (because they do work for some people), they just didn't work for me. I needed to feel like I was a part of a community and something greater than myself. I pretty much threw in the towel and convinced myself that life is too short and I should just be out having fun and enjoying it. To me that meant eating what I wanted and exercising only when I felt like it. Well.... June 2014 was my breaking point and wake-up call. I was back in NY for my sister's Sweet 16 party and I had to get all fancied up. Nothing fit. I refused family pictures, and, the one picture that was snapped of me, sent me over the edge. It's one thing to look a certain way in my mind, but to see visual evidence was something else entirely. I didn't recognize the person I was looking at. She was lifeless. So much for living it up, huh? I hadn't been on a scale in ages and when I finally sucked it up and stepped on, I was well over 215 lbs. The highest I had ever been in my entire life! Now it all made sense as to why I was winded walking up a flight of stairs and why my nail beds were blue and I was cold all the time. I was a ticking time bomb to heart disease (and a long family history at that) and something HAD to change! I wasn't sure what my next step was, but when I woke up and logged into Facebook the next morning, my answer was staring me in the face: CROSSFIT! All I knew about Crossfit was what I had heard from others: "You need to get in shape before you try it.", "You'll injure yourself!", and, my favorite, "It's a cult. Don't. Do. It.!" It took me a week just to show up for a trial class at Wildfire Crossfit. Although it was intimidating to me, everyone was so incredibly nice! People just walked up and introduced themselves to me and encouraged me to give it my best. The first coach I met was Tiffany. Umm....hello!? That's my name! It's a sign!!! She was a total sweetheart! She took the time to show me around, explain the workout to me and, most importantly, made me feel very welcomed! Throughout my free week trial (and everyday since) I found that all the coaches focus on what I CAN do rather than what I can't do. Workouts are scaled to my ability right now, with a HUGE emphasis on form to reduce the risk of injury. The coaches care just as much about mobility, stretching, and nutrition as they do about the workout itself. Ego is checked at the door and the community rallies around the each other and truly wants what is best for each and every member. The workout ends when the very last person is finished, and that always seems to be the person who gets the loudest cheers! Needless to say, I signed up to become a member of Wildfire and was greeted with "Welcome to the Family!" followed by a sincere hug. The only other time that has happened was....oh wait....it's NEVER happened! Family? Hugs? At a gym? Unheard of! If community, partnership, commitment to the betterment of oneself, and the desire to see others succeed is a cult, I want IN!! There are multiple Crossfit locations that are much closer to where I live, but I am willing to travel the additional 15 minutes for the peace of mind I have knowing that I am working with THE BEST in the business! Coach Tiffany and Coach Skip have created a warm, welcoming, friendly and caring environment and they are the very definition of CLASS and INTEGRITY! It's been 8 of the most amazing, challenging and life-changing months of my life! With the encouragement of the entire coaching staff, I have lifted heavier weights than I ever imagined I could, I have pushed myself past my own expectations, I've cried (in public...yikes!) and I haven't quit! The community won't let me, the coaches won't let me, and, I refuse to let down myself and my Wildfire family! While I may still be struggling to find my way outside of the gym ("box" if I am being technical), I feel better knowing that I always have the Wildfire community to turn too. So...... If you're looking for a place to workout, get your nutrition needs met, meet a community of like-minded people and find a place to call "home", get into Wildfire Crossfit NOW and thank me later!! read more

This gym is great for any level of athlete. As a consumer I can tell you the product this gym offers is highly effective for a variety of fitness goals. The gym environment is clean, friendly, and very well equipped. For those dropping in for a workout there is a full offering of apparel as well as a variety of supplements to help you enhance or recover from your workouts. Protein powder, nutrition bars, and a variety of water are all available at the front desk. In the gym itself there are clean showers and a water fountain available to help you quench your thirst and clean up after a tough workout.
